Scratch Report post Posted May 6, 2006 I had an idea for a bot and would like to write it up. I would like to see an example of a trade bot written in VB or C. Would anyone be willing to email me the source code for one to see if I can figure out how to make mine work? Or someone could be really nice and offer to write it for me and then I could spend more time on EL.

Knuckles Report post Posted May 6, 2006 http://redknight.berlios.de/ and http://elbot.sourceforge.net/ are both written in C, and listed in the stickied threads in the top of this forum. Thanks ck. But I was wondering, I downloaded of the second url you gave, and I'm not very "l33t" when it comes to programming, I know a bit of VB 6, and some C.. Is there any other info you could give me, to help me? (Anything at all really.)

Google for C tutorials or something (apparently beej is quite a good C socket tutorial). Please read the sticky threads in this forum.
roswell_r Report post Posted May 7, 2006 Question: have you made hello world? Question 2: have you worked with the winsock control in VB6?

Scratch Report post Posted May 7, 2006 I tried both those links before. The redknight takes me to a screen that says the project has not been uploaded yet and I can't get sourceforge to let me download the file. It just gives me stats on its download history. I will assume that you have to sign up to actually download.
