R? sure it's not P? (should be P, which means you didn't get the prerequisites)

Yes, I just checked. It's a R

And I have msvcp71.dll which is what it sounds like :/

no, just a little old (WinXP era should have it, older ones usually won't)... the P one I was expecting was for other clients, so I need both :P

time to recompile the lot and a new installer!

ed: done!

all clients and installer updated. review and experimental builds use the funky new spell effects, review has TERRAIN and normal mapping and stuff (without any normal mapped files)

Spell effects?
if you've been following the forums, you should have read about that already

me? it's been quite a while since I did anything except bug-fixing in EL's code. building the client and installer took a bit of setting up long ago, but that's not new either. direct praise to the people who made the features you like

err... kay... I've never seen it do much for me, but then, my actor didn't disappear either... it might be an issue with my compiler, I guess, but more likely it's something else (-DSIMPLE_LOD ?)... without knowing more details (and probably more about near plane) I can't do muc

I cant download the client, it says I already have it cause of the same name
one of the clients or the installer? the installer should update the client... only problem would be if you're already running one of my clients and try to update it at the same time. if the installer, just overwrite, or delete first

note that none of the files you get from me should overwrite anything you got from el.com, I made sure to avoid that

Can i use this client o run the oficial Server, or only for test server yet?
I keep thinking that I answered this, but I guess not in this thread yet (it is answered in the installer though, and probably in a few other threads). well, it's done now.

added to the first post (which is, in some ways, quite out of date):

There are several clients available via the installer. Only one can't be used on the main server, but you really can't... it won't let you. There's more info in the installer when you select clients to install, but basically, they're all legal to use, and just have different levels of experimental stuff
