oh man, thats just damned funny. even more so that they say that with a teletype interface and fortran language it would be easy to use :icon13:

 

most users today would freak if they had to work with that kind of archaic tools. hell, for some the desktop interface of today isnt easy enough...

 

i wonder what that big wheel is for tho, ship navigation simulations?

Teletype, OK... just another console hooked up to my BSD-boxen... but Fortran?!? Please, don't!

 

(Just as a side note, by my knowledge, the Fortran-language was not yet mature in 1954, and nor was teletype, to say the least... and yes: the wheel is for boat-navigation)
