oh man, thats just damned funny. even more so that they say that with a teletype interface and fortran language it would be easy to use

 

most users today would freak if they had to work with that kind of archaic tools. hell, for some the desktop interface of today isnt easy enough...

 

i wonder what that big wheel is for tho, ship navigation simulations?

Teletype, OK... just another console hooked up to my BSD-boxen... but Fortran?!? Please, don't!

 

(Just as a side note, by my knowledge, the Fortran-language was not yet mature in 1954, and nor was teletype, to say the least... and yes: the wheel is for boat-navigation)
