The mass is a Fermion and cant be at the same space at the same time :axeman_rune: [if u dont know phys try to hit something, ur hand and the thing u are hitting arent at the same place at the same time, if u hit the wall ur hand will be damage so be carefull  rolf]

Now like u can see in the pic im at the same time and at the same place with that ogre.

Is a bug or not?

Could be nice to have more of this things?

Well vote!!!!

collision detection isn't quite so simple to do.

in EL, we draw object A in one location, with its size and shape, etc. object B is dran nearby. the only prevention of collision we have is the grid system, and heightmapping (including tiles you can't walk on). and sometimes things don't work out right

hopefully we'll have proper collision detection and adjustments (like your cape moves if it bumps against something)

that said... apart from the magic angle, I don't see a need for the physics to be different in EL than real life (in the long run. adding the code to do it is a big task)

erm this hurts my head lol, it might be fun to have something like this on certain maps, like theres one map with doesn't use a certain law, but there are problems with this.

Lets take the one u said, about two things cant be in the same place at the same time, well if we ignored this people could walk throw walls, and mountins, so how would we be able to have an egde of a map? because without that law they can just walk forever though everything. or for that matter shouldn't we just fall straght though the floor because the floor doesn't stop us as two things can be in one place at the same time, and gravity will push us down?

Well, looks like the bad news is that the laws of physics are violated.

The good news is that at the very least, the violation will beat itself out of existence.

it's not a bug! You're supposed to fight the ogre from inside of him!

It's a feature of the Draian universe, eh? :D

Ooh ooh...we're not made of fermions, we're made of rojaons! :P

Rest at peace, my child, for the rules of physics are not violated. While it is true that many particles that compose the body are fermions:

1. The photons you see on your screen are actually bosons which do not obey the Pauli exclusion principle.

2. The bodies do not coexist in the same space at a subatomic level. As you might know, the vast portion of the matter is actually empty. While the electromagnetic force and the nuclear weak force would push away two atoms that get too close to eachother, it just happens that in EL the constants for the electric force is different in every place, so some places allow matter to apparently coexist.

TY Ent for that explanation.

I can now rest soundly, knowing that we are not breaking these important laws.

Not breaking, just...err...adjusting...to fit with observation!

Exactly :P

Some guy noticed that other's guy gravity model was working, but had a few flaws at big speeds (or big mass?) , so he readjusted it a 'little', so now his model is teh r0x.

A little?!?!?! And it was many guys

Well, many guys observed the irregularities of Mercury's orbit, but only one was able to adjust the theory a 'little' to fit with the observation

GR was developed by more than one person though.

Well, more or less.

In the beginning most of them were like: "Omfg no way d00de, thats BS!11"

hmm - rewriting the rules to apply to what happens, not what should, and convincing us all that this is normal parameters... good job! :D

Atahn: I just can't quite seem to grasp this...

The whole concept of science is that all the theory has to be backd up by experiment and/or observation. So if the observation deviates from the theory, then it is our duty to perfect the laws and formulas to match :)
