Read the troubleshooting guide, found here:

http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18846

Update your graphics drivers, links can be found here:

http://www.eternal-lands.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13060

If this doesn't work for you. Try this:

1. Uninstall your EL installation and remove the EL folder from your system.

2. Downoad the game client from: http://www.eternal-lands.com/index.php?content=download

3. install the game

4. Download the update from: http://www.eternal-lands.com/index.php?content=update

5. Install the update

6. Play (if you are still experiencing problems, post here in Help Me and we will try our best to make it work for you)

Open your EL folder. locate the file error_log.txt.

Copy and paste the contents into a reply in this thread.

And plese remove duplicates of player_slash1.caf

i tried logging in again, and before i even like got in it says

the instruction at "0x7c91142e" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read".

hrum. please post a copy of your el.ini, strip out the comments, only the lines starting with an # are relevant

also, some graphics cards and their drivers can give problems, what type do you have?

the "developed with dev-cpp" message is the same as most people will get, that's just what was used to make EL

and for those interested in what the rest of the error means... EL is trying to get information without an address in your computers' memory (which it needs to be able to chose what info it gets)

i have an SiS 760 graphics card...and thats the only thing i understood in the last reply lol, i just wanna play el XD

SiS cards - IIRC - don't really work with EL, now - what we require of graphics just isn't what they handle.

I could be wrong about this one, but I don't think any SiS cards are supported now.

To play games, not just Eternal lands, you really need a better graphics card, but you can try to update your card. See pinned topic in this forum (Graphics problems).
