Slayton Report post Posted October 21, 2005 Yea I start up EL it freezes up right around the time it says "initializing actors" or somethign like that..then my comp slows up and usually ends up crashing. Arnieman Report post Posted October 21, 2005 My guess is that it may be your graphics card - if you are unsure what or if you have one, EL may be unplayable for you now. Solution - a new card. These could clean up your error log some: Particles, fontv - Go to your EL\textures folder. Make copies of particles 2, 3, and 4 - rename the copies 5, 6, and 7. Then take either font.bmp or font2.bmp, make a copy, and rename the copy Fontv.bmp. Animations - go to your EL\animations folder, copy canine_pain.caf, and rename the copy canine_pain1.caf. Then back-up Player_slash1.caf, copy canine_pain2.caf, and rename the copy player1_slash.caf. (Took these from elsewhere in the forum.)
Sildegaar Report post Posted October 21, 2005 Certainly a stupid one, but are you sure the EL version you are running is still supported ? Did you try installing the 1.1.2 version with its update(s) ? Note that your error_log is absolutely standard and is not the problem to your comp crashing. Anyway: Good Luck ! The_Piper Report post Posted October 23, 2005 Its not only the client, you need of course the complete environment. Please download the latest version of EL and install it into an empty folder, that should help. Piper
