Process of creaing a bot

Recommended Posts

I'm interested in creating a storebot for the guild I'm in.

I have the software, which is no doubt the start of the process.

What is the next step? Is there a test server I can use, or do I need to seek approval for the bot first?

Any help (ideally a list of the stages) would be greatly apprciated.

yeah theres a test server where you can do what you like basicly, go to port 2001 and have fun, you could even have the bot play the game for you on that server

No test servers at this moment, i've tried.

I've read in some other threads that bot testing in server:2000 is not allowed.

Since there is no test server... no bot coding/testing is allowed at this moment, right? I understand it.

But thinking about this rule i suppose that the reason of it is to don't disturb the life/trades/fights of players with annoying, buggy or even evil bots.

But what about if i put the bot inside a lost house in the middle of nowhere and i just try to make it connect and maybe say "hello world" in local chat? Is this acceptable?

I don't want to break any rule, so please don't take it in a bad way. I want to remember java coding something funny, that's all.

Thank you.

Regards
