Recommended Posts

apple is rejecting to cover for it.

Sented to an american company for privite service and repair.

they said 200 usd , I brought it for 280 cad.

but problem is with shipping and tax is over the price I brought for it.

but my ipod is rather important someone brought it for me , and is personalized.

well what can I do , I mean they are replacing everything inside but the case.

even it may cost as much as a new one , but hey the thing one of my buddy brought it for me , and you know is not the meaning to have it there so I look better and avoid the questions.

just that I don't give a damn buying a new one from apple who won't cover it.

Three suggestions:

1.) Find someone closer who can repair it for less, or to whom you can ship it to be repaired for less, or whatnot. Maybe even take it to a local Apple store (if no one else) and see if they can't get it repaired and bill you. It may just be worth it to hunt for a better price.

2.) (Assuming this is possible) Buy a new Ipod, remove the cover from both the old and new Ipods, and put the old cover on the new Ipod.

3.) If you aren't the sentimental type, and don't really care about the personalization from the old Ipod, just get a new one and forget the old one.

lie and say it just stopped working or something

I already tryed lying , I told them I didn't damage it by kayaking I told them it was by natural damage "Rain"

I said I left my jacket out in the "Rain" but they don't buy it , and even if they did any water damage is not covered they told me.

so I say ... it died by it's own , they open and they will phone me say is water damage...

Well then say you don't know how it got water damamged, and that's prolly why it died but then your going to reply and say: "They'll say "We don't cover water damages""

Hmmm... I just recommend price hunting...

one word...condensation. Seems like a flaw in design to me. I don't know that the box explicitly says "Keep from humid environments". It just so happens that a body of water is 100% humid, i would guess.
