Dunian Report post Posted July 16, 2005 Hullo, i've been playing around with the map editer and I was wondering if I needed to put null tiles under the water. (This is the right place to post, right?)
Acelon Report post Posted July 16, 2005 When you start out, the whole map is null. You would just need to not add a height map to it.
Daxon Report post Posted July 16, 2005 'NULL' tiles (click the skull and the ground tile button to make these) is what you use for tiles that will not be seen/used at all, as it speeds up the map some. Heightmap 'null' tiles are -2.20 and are (from what I see) always put down when you add water tiles, although you can change that to be able to walk on/in water. Hope that helps. Dunian Report post Posted August 28, 2005 I know this thread has been dead for awhile, but i thought i'd ask here instead of making a new thread: Would I need to include a map of house-insides if I summited a testmap? Dunian :battleaxe:

Dunian :battleaxe: 191453[/snapback] No. It only applies when making a full map.

Dunian Report post Posted October 15, 2005 (edited) I know, dumb Q., but how do I rotate an object on th Y axis? up\down arrow keys do X, and left\right do Z! Edited October 15, 2005 by Dunian
MoonShadow Report post Posted October 15, 2005 The manual says: 3D/2D object keys: ctrl+arrow keys -rotates the object on X and Z axis ctrl+pageup/pagedown -rotates the object on the Y axis ins/delete -move the object up/down by 10cm shift+ins/delete- move the object up/down by 1cm(for more accuracy) right click- when you have an object selected, right clicking will delete it ctrl+w -you can enable some random rotation & height settings for 3D objects. ctrl -hold this down when placing 3D objects to "stick" them to the mouse alt -hold this down when placing 2D objects and they will randomly rotate and change heights. Dunian Report post Posted October 15, 2005 (edited) I see, thank you. I had checked the beginning of the manual, and it just said ctrl and the arrow keys. Edited October 15, 2005 by Dunian
