giannis Report post Posted July 13, 2005 (edited) These might increase your FPS. In your el directory find a file named el.ini and open it with your text editor... Find these items: #clouds_shadows = 1 #use_shadow_mapping = 1 #shadows_on = 1 Change all the "1" (ones) into "0" (zeros) (don't type the quotation marks). If you don't see a significant increase in FPS then your last resort will be to find in your el.ini the line: #poor_man = 0 and replace the 0 with an 1.... I hope this helps. sos_nl Report post Posted July 13, 2005 Try posting what video card the #glinfo reports that you have. I think that you've forgotten to install your video driver... it says: microft corporation OpenGL version 1.1.0 i am pretty sure you dont have any software acceleration What do you mean with software acceleration? DirectX or something?
freeone3000 Report post Posted July 14, 2005 1.1.0. Ich, that sounds like the problem right there... I think EL needs 1.2 or 1.5 minimum. I think he means hardware acceleration. OpenGL is like DirectX (closer to Direct3D, but still) in that it makes your video card do the actual things... problem is your video card doesn't understand some instructions that the client's telling it beacuse of an outdated/unsupported OpenGL version. To fix this: Get a newer video card. Not a new one, just a newer... The GeForce4 MX models work fine.
