#joining

Recommended Posts

How about a #joining command so the recruiters can see whether there is a queue of people waiting to join the guild, or an automatic notification when somebody does #join_guild?

Also, on the same note, how about a #reject name command, opposite to an #accept command?

Sounds good, i'd like 2 have those comands, would make it easier to see if someone have typed the #join part and so on.

Or just notification to the guild master or any guildies rank 15+ when someone #join_guild's

177221[/snapback]

the problem is, what if there are none online at the moment? quite possible with smaller guilds.

ideal soln would probably be that, all at 15+ get the list of waiting applicants when log in (or notice that there's some), and can either #accept or #reject them

I personally think it is a terrible idea to have a queue when someon types #join_guild just think of how annoying it would be in the future whn the game grows, to have hundreds of noobs trying to join every guild that they see walk by them.

I think that would also go with a #reject command, and could have a rejected person can't apply to that particular guild for some time, maybe 1-2 days, similar to the #leave_guild penalty... maybe make a guild #rejected list, that lists all people that have been rejected. Also, maybe an #autoreject list, so people couldn't just #join_guild and have to be rejected hundreds of times, trying to clog the queue?

These commands should only be available for members of rank to #accept guild members.

by the time we have enough people that having a few dozen people try to join per day happens, we'll probably have better facilities for who is allowed to apply. things like being able to specify the levels required (so you could say `att+def >= 50', for example) or perhaps by that stage the process will be reversed, the guild has to #invite the recruit and the recruit accept. more power to the guild
