yea but at the moment everyone just goes for a sword because they hit harded and manu. dont bother holding a weapon becuase they are no use for them. this way everyone will be holding a weapon and you can tell what they are :)

And how do you propose to manufacture something with a weapon in your hand?

and you can tell what they are

First, I want to be everything. Second, noone needs to know.

thats why i made the manu. weapon a hammer because you use a hammer to make things  and there is aready the cloack that have level restrictions one, and i thing that is good because when you can wear one it show that you are good it that skill and people will ask you to make them stuff for gold if you a manu.

Everyone goes for swords because the game is unbalanced and they are the most powerful weapons in the game. They need staves and hammers and other weapon types that can stand up to the titan that is the serpent sword.

yea and thats what i think this will do. people will go for the weapon that will help them in what they do eg mages use staffs. they dont have to use the weapons and if your like me and you wanna be good at everything then you have to buy al the weapons and use the one that helps you with what your doing. its like mages can use all there spells at the start no matter how much gold they have. they have to train and get better then there spells get better

ok, so now were right back where we started. Let me repeat this. I want all the weapons to be balanced, not the same. A sword is not the same as a staff, and should not do the same amount of damage. And I am perfectly capable of holding a serpent sword at lvl 1. For instance, a serpent sword has 19 att, 8 hit, and 4 def. I think there should be a better staff with maybe 12 att, 10 hit, and 6 def. The idea is that every weapon has its own advantages and disadvantages. You choose what weapon you like based on those, not based on your character class. You just want to make all the weapons exactly the same as all the others, and base it on your stats. That takes freedom and choices away from the game. And believe me, the last thing this game needs is less variation.

and tieing a wizard to a staff is old hat, we dont want classes in this game! if you want to carry a word and cast fireballs your free to do so, just train the skills needed.

and i support shadwokinghts idea that we should see more weapons with stats comparable to the words, like hammers, flails, axes and staffs. that way your weapon of choice isnt based on stats or what skills you have but on what style you want.

the same should be done with armor, give me something similar to a mage/priest robe but give me something liek leather armor effect, maybe give me a variation on the fur cloak that give stats like armor. or just give me more clothes that i can wear armor under! in that way i was sad when morrowind didnt have a multiplayer part as you had so many ways to dress up your person!

with the above i can dress like a wizard or i can dress like a traveler and you would have no clue as to what my real profeesion is. its more realistic in a way and would be damn interesting if we ever held a wizards gathering :)

I like it but at the same time i don't i mean so you spend all that money on your weapon then this is implemented and you no longer can use the weapon you have so you have to go buy the new one of that skill which isnt very cost effective

I really hate it when people try to take the whole thing of class definitions to that much of an extreme. If ya wanna be that class go ahead but im saying that anyone can use whatever weapon they want. If you wanna make this more role-playing and not as stupid and restricting then i say anyone can use any weapon they want. It only make sense if you ask me.

I think what we already have is just fine, if you want to be good at fighting, you work for combat god, good at defence, suck up to the defence god, wanna be good at summoning, worship that god. Then, people can go out with their titanium serpent sword, summon a strong monster, and use their magic to heal themselves and cast fireballs at their enemies, then go to the mines and have a nice titanium harvest, then use their alchemy skill to make some titanium bars, then their manufacturing skill to make them into titnium serpent swords, and sell them for a couple of million gold. This game is near perfect, all it needs is player owned houses/shops, a wider variety of weapons and the ability to click on the map for where you wanna go.
