Guest Koltsoi Report post Posted February 10, 2005 5 nights ago, a clanmate leveled to O/A 46. She needed 95,656 exp to reach lvl 47. 2 nights ago, I leveled to 39 O/A. I needed 110,319 to reach lvl 40. My question is...why does Aeoquis need less exp than I do when she is going to be EIGHT levels higher than I am?!? This doesn't make any sense to me. Does the way one distributes pickpoints have anything to do with the experience needed to level? Aeoquis Koltsoi Physique 19 16 Coordination 20 18 Reasoning 10 8 Will 12 7 Instinct 4 4 Vitality 5 4 Does higher Reasoning and higher Will enable one to level faster by needing less exp per level? Help me out here 'cause I'm confused about this. Thanks.
Grum Report post Posted February 10, 2005 Yes, it's a well known fact, and it has nothingf to do with pick points. Every (?) 10 levels, the formula for computing the exp required for the next level changes slightly, and at level 40 this works out in such a way that you actually need less exp going from 40 to 41 (and a few levels more too) then going from 39 to 40. Don't worry, the required exp levels are the same for everyone, so once you get past 40 you'll notice that leveling is easier for a while.
Kenneth916 Report post Posted February 10, 2005 (edited) I believe that 39 is sort of a hell level or something... the exp to get to 41 was less than to get to 40 if I remember correctly. EDIT: Oops I was a little slow on the draw... Edited February 10, 2005 by Kenneth916

Grum Report post Posted February 10, 2005 If you make a plot of the differences between the levels, you can see drops at 30, 40, and 90.
Guest Koltsoi Report post Posted February 11, 2005 I appreciate all the input, BUT.......I don't see anywhere on the charts or other posts an explanation as to why I need 110k+ exp to reach level 40, especially if PP have nothing to do with it! We noticed a differential when we reached our previous levels of 38 (me) and 45 (her) but we neglected to write down the numbers at the time. She should have needed 136K+ to reach lvl 47 O/A, not 95k. I should need 79k or so and not 110k. Sorry, I'm still not getting it.
Elise Report post Posted February 11, 2005 Well experience levels in el don't work the way you think they do Koltsoi. Just accept it and move on, as there's nothing wrong the way it is.
Guest Koltsoi Report post Posted February 11, 2005 Ermm....great answer, Elise. Pardon me for trying to make sense of something that doesn't seem quite correct or fair. Your crisp and clear input totally underwhelms me. (Mental note to self: Don't worry about things that make no sense and don't ask for help/clarification. It seems to rub some people the wrong way)

Kenneth916 Report post Posted February 11, 2005 Koltsoi, I hate to say this Koltsoi... but several of us have answered your question... You just haven't heard us.. Lvl 39-40 requires A LOT more exp than 40-41... for everyone... not just you In some games these more difficult/longer levels are refered to as hell levels... they are the same for everyone in the game.... When you finish this level your next level (40-41) will require about 63,784 exp... just like everyone else... When you finish this level you will see.
