desil Report post Posted January 22, 2005 o ok.what do you have to do to be allowed? mod, tester, or what?
Entropy Report post Posted January 22, 2005 Ok, here is a new test: Follow the instructions EXACTLY, or else things will not work: 1. Copy the entire EL folder somewhere else. Copy, not MOVE. 2. Download elc-1.0.1-4-update.zip 3. Unzip it in the new folder where you put the el folder. 4. edit el.ini and change the port to 2001 5. Start el.exe If you have problems, post them here, along with what OS you use. BTW, this is only for the Windows users, the Linux users must compile the client themselves from the CVS. P.S. This test will be on the TEST server, which is meant ONLY for tests. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EDIT - updated the right file, the previous one was corrupted. Guest DrOuija Report post Posted January 23, 2005 Entropy, The problem is that int he update you gave, the exe is named elc.exe and you specified to run el.exe (which is still the old version). elc.exe and all the .DLL files do not appear to be valid windows apps. Something borked during archiving maybe?

Entropy Report post Posted January 23, 2005 WTF... Did it work for ANYONE? elc.exe I mean. Anyway, here is the new binary files: www.eternal-lands.com/el_test.zip repalced the exe and dlls. elc.exe is the Mihaim's binary, el.exe is mine. If you get problems with the sdl dll, then get the one from the normal el folder.
