Yes, prices went up mostly because Iraq war (and panic it caused amongst investors), but they will go down significantly soon after elections in Iraq i believe

I don't think so. Some ppl are really happy (Russians, Arabians, oil companies) that the prices are high that they won't let them go down. Before this Iraq event Saddam wasn't selling much more oil than it is bought from Iraq now. Anywany, USA has one of the most power-consuming industry in the world.

Ummm... at one point I was driving 700 miles a week minimum - that was for about 3 years, and I only stopped about 12 months ago... at $7 a gallon, that costs a lot!

Yeah i put on about that much, maybe a little more...one of my coworkers drives 1200-2000 miles a week. It's crazy...Thank God the company pays for it. Though i feel sorry for them as well
