  1. Rostogol Stones

Great on both feeling and storyline, gives an explanation to the effect of the stone Great job, Teshla
  2. Selling stuff

if I was you I would get more than 1 invis potion and buy an antidote potion. sometimes instead of becoming invisible, the potion will poison you.
  3. pick axe

indeed, I've noticed it many times, only on dwarves
  4. Please preload the update (fixed)

well, the problem I have kill the sound completely, both music and sfx... I noticed it started happening since I got that "too many sounds" bug entering pl storage
  5. Please preload the update (fixed)

I keep experiencing that same problem: crash on #exit and music breaks in track changes
  6. Predownload the 1.3.1 update

Happens to me too, and music randomly crashes when there is a track change
  7. Yeti :)

    it's remove-health, no? ;P
  8. Sounds bug?

It's a known bug, I run EL on windows and I also get it when entering buildings like the Portland storage. But it doesn't kill the bg music nor sfx. Since this bug doesn't cause further problems with the client, it's being left as it is for now, as far as I know.
  9. About arenas

I think that the PK pits in Idaloran mines don't give warnings when you enter them... neither the PK rings in Trassian school of fighting (but well it's quite obvious it's pk in those)... the others are ok
  10. Hello everyone! I've come up with a simple yet full of possibilities idea: call it a "crystal sword". How about a weapon that will be strong, REALLY strong, but... that will only be able to deal 1 single critical blow? I mean by that: you equip the sword, hit with it once to deal big damage (70+?) and then the sword breaks, ALWAYS after the very first hit. To avoid such a destructive and dangerous tool being available to anyone, it could require some standard stuff to be made (diamonds, quartz...) and then something like EFE, binding stones, serpent stones... to make it a bit more limited, ahmen from a high manu level to be forged. When the sword breaks, it won't be repairable, it will just crash and be lost forever. Feedback?
  11. Crystal Swords

Well the purpose of this weapon was not cooldown avoiding, but something more powerful than a RoP with a chance to fail... but yes, maybe a disposable weapon will be more balanced than this.
  12. Crystal Swords

It's something like that, but that will break after the first hit. To make a bit less powerful, maybe we could make it break even if the hit is not successful? (the attacked one blocks or dodges the attack and the sword breaks anyway) so it will be more a gamble to equip the sword.
  13. Crystal Swords

That's why I suggested an expensive formula, that will require many rare stones/enriched items/whatever... to avoid it being abused. So, if you do what you say about bringing many swords and using them after each other, it will suppose a big loss of money.
  14. Crystal Swords

The idea goes down from that point, but Ent proposed it for disposable armor only. So now I had the same idea concerning weapons, these will open a new view about pvp fights, even more if some armor/shield is designed to counter-act the effects. EDIT: @ Thordin: yes we have, but the swords-> 1. will be more powerful; 2. will leave you unarmed for a moment when you use them; 3. won't be affected by cooldown, but will be more expensive to get. Imagine the combinated effect of a RoP and the sword. There are already too many bullies with high health pool out there, and CoLs as well.
  15. WHAAAAAAAT! ur kidding meh right?

nice crowd there, and great ceremony congratulations for the newlyweds!
  16. The gym!

I see your point, but you know, killing that rabbit, goblin, garg, orc, w/e... is part of the a/d skill ways. The same way "how many times do I have to mix the same HEs, the same SRs, the same leather pants, the same rings..." skills get repetitive, but the reward and the fun are gotten when you got to have real use of them. Do you think I like being in a pvp arena, or spawn for hours? no, I don't like it, but when I go out and kill someone I had targeted or hunt a new monster, I feel enlightened as all that effort was worth of it. I don't think there should be a "quick, easy" way, there isn't and there is no need for one. And try to be more consequent with what your say. You subtitle this thread "why should your character have to fight?", so this means you got this as a way to circunvent the boring hours of a/d training.
  17. The gym!

Mini gaming on a gym in this kind of game should affect more the Pickpoints than it does a/d, and Pickpoints are too precious just to give them away at minigames. The idea is good, but just won't fit in. Besides, I can suggest you more games or websites other than EL where you can find loads of minigames (go play any Final Fantasy if not).
  18. The gym!

As you train with monsters and pvp, you learn some basic tactics like correct usage of diss/tele rings, spells, equipment combinations... that will be decissive when you get to pk. it's not doing The Same Thing Over And Over (capz there), it's learning how to do what you're supposed to be doing in the future. EDIT: Typo
  19. The gym!

Why does that follow from what he said? Because he is saying that it would take away from the fun of the game, well if you say that then all variables in the game take away the fun. The biggest beef I have with this game is that all these "pro players" think Ah, I understand now. It DOESN't follow. You didn't suggest to add a variable. You just suggested that there should be a way to circumvent the entire current leveling system. Your suggestion was equivalent to someone suggesting that there be a place where ingredients are no longer needed for alchemy and someone can sit there and get alchemy experience without the work. It has nothing to do with pr0 players being conservative (I hold the same opinion.) It has to do with a suggestion that trivializes the game and the rewards for playing the game. There is nothing wrong with not having a gym, and frankly adding it in would not enhance play experience for the majority of players. Come up with an idea that A: doesn't involve a major system change B: has a practical benefit that positively effects a large number of players without having a *serious* negative effect and C: Is not so overpowered or loaded with "extra features" that it's difficult to take serious. *CLAPS!!* 100% agree. JohntheWarder what you were proposing was just like these "miracle" medicines, treatments and devices to lose weight without having to go on a diet and do exercise, and you expect you just have a pill and eat all you want and lay down all day long, and still lose weight (to put an example). If you want results, a reward, you have to work for it, and what Kalach said about being able to just sit and get experience without doing nothing is deffinitely true: what's the fun of the game if you would get exp just like that? Leave your computer on, leave for all day, come back at night "oh! I raised 10 a/d levels and 20 oa!"... where's the fun on that? you get your rewards as you play the game.
  20. The invasion

Indeed running the invasion on multiple maps at once helps get rid of the congestion, but there was WAY too much congestion (check the screenshots from Desert Pines and VotD...) so, maybe running the invasion on both continents at once will help spread out a bit more.
  21. PK Map Entry time

up with this one, I hate people who signjumps just in order to bagjump/taunt/spam
  22. The gym!

yes? well I think that what you want is "maximum profit, minimum effort". want to get high on your skills? then train hard like the rest has. and yes, a/d matters, but p/c also, but p/c goes for pickpoints, so sepparate from the skills. it has been discussed before that both need some kind of balance to get maximum profit out of, but sure a high a/d helps, and your idea of "buying" a/d breaks the whole purpose of the training.
  23. The gym!

it won't work. besides if you don't want to fight, what you want your a/d for? want to become good at fighting? get your ass out there to a monster spawn and start training, or get to pvp with a friend around your stats and start training. annoyance about spawn ownership, people attacking you in pvp, restocking your HE/srs... is something you have to live with. nothing is given for granted, and it's supposed to be the fun of the game as well. so if you don't agree with that all, pick any other skill or quit the game just my 2 cents
  24. Aight, selling a freshly looted book of Iron Sword of Fire... post here or pm me ingame (same name). I'm hoping for at least 5k gold for it.
