Glilin was quite pleased with the results of this event. Many guilds were represented as well as some players not presently in guilds. For the most part, you did outstanding jobs. The idea here was to guess what products to make with the ingredients provided. You were not to go to storage once you were given your location of the bag. One person did and will be mentioned in the Event Hall of Shame and will be banned from any event for the next month. The points for each item was chosen randomly using a random number generator, so there is no sense to the order of points given for each item. This created a very fair chance for all competitors. Only items brought back were counted. Each bag contained the following items: 12 leather 3 fox 25 thread 5 feasting pots 3 rabbit fur 3 wolf fur 25 iron bars 32 steel bars and 20 fire essences They were to create as many items as they could using the encyclopedia for aid if needed. They were given locations to get the hyperbag that contained these items. Here is the points designated to each item that could be made from the contents of the bag: steel chainmail torso = 1point Steel shield = 2 points warm fur gloves = 3 points Iron sword = 4 points leather gloves = 5 points iron chainmail torso = 6 points Iron helm = 7 points leather pants = 8 points Steel long sword = 9 points Steel 2 edged = 10 points fox scarf =11 points leather boots =12 points leather pants =13 points fur cloak =14 points iron shield =15 points leather helm =16 points iron broad sword =17 points All those getting points of 100 or more are: Dunian score 127 Kinalor score 118 Stormer 112 Jarld 102 MilesP 100 I will post the remaining scores shortly. The arena was the best we could work with in the game at the moment. Other arenas we tried simply tossed the invasions into the audience very easily. This one was difficult for all of us to see, Selain stated that he could not see much of it either and he is a GOD. As for the monsters, the reason they died so quickly is that they had all attack and no defense, much like summons. In the future, we are hoping for a special Event arena that will hold more monsters and more crowd. Please bear with us until this is done.

This was a tough event. Congratz to all that participated. PL were the first to compete. They lasted through 13 rounds dying in the 14th round. Montarius died first, then Thanotos, followed by Jaclaw, Nitager, and finally Masterpiter. They set the pace for the rest. ~SV~ lasted through 5 rounds dying finally in the 6th round. Order of death was Tidus, Molime, Mr00wka, Ryosuke, and then Gurgeh. HIM managed to tie with PL, as they also lasted through 13 rounds dying in the 14th round. Order of death was Sudoku, Broken, Stalag, Asgnny, and finally Bharain. Beta tied with ~SV~ as they lasted through 5 rounds and died in the 6th. Shantak fled the scene early leaving his team mates to fight a man short early in their competition. Order of death was Surfy, SoAD7777, Horvik, and then Lleumas. DIE! broke the tie for the lead by managing to live through the 14th round and dying in the 15th. Order of death: Wexy, Fluj, Grearien, Dushan, Dezm. Both Dushan and Dezm survived in round 14. =HC= made it into round 13, but seeing that scarr was left "holding the bag", scarr fled the ring. Order of the deceased: Hardcore, Lorck, Logiscom, and Argian. -DD- managed to survive 5 rounds dying in the 6th round with only 3 players. Mufassa was allowed to aid them in their quest for enlightment, as there was only two of them to show for the event. NostalG died first, Niilan second, then mufassa. CA$H won the event, their team work was outstanding. They survived 15 full rounds. Talloth died first, follwed by LadyWolf, then Mmarx, and finally Dawex. TooMass survived and is a local hero to all!!

This was the very first of this type of event ever done. And it all was thrown together in a short amount of time. Like all 1st time events, what looks good on paper becomes an ingame challenge--as the game mechanics limit our abilities. Knowing what we know now, we will learn from these mistakes and improve the system to work faster and smoother. I appreciate all that were patient, and we will hold similar tweaked versions in the future, perhaps involving the other skills as well. Yes, in the future we will have mod or official event team members guarding locations holding no more than 4 ppl in which they will answer your questions and take your items for scoring. Then all will wait together in a location for the scores to be announced (it is great to get the public to cheer on all the players and offer congratz). As for the point system, yes--it was dumb luck. That was the whole intent. Gives all players as fair of a chance to win as the next, and promotes an opportunity for more to compete. So many possible combinations can be made with the ingredients. Out of 40 ppl, not one combination was duplicated.

Hear ye, hear ye! Glilin has passed down a secret recipe for some new armor. A contest of skill will take place Saturday, 8 July 2006 at 2pm EDT (GMT-4) for 40 lucky participants. Items you need to provide include only a needle, a hammer, and a skeleton key. Do not be late, as the first 40 people that show up at the designated spot (to be announced before the event takes place) will earn a spot in which to compete. NOTE: Make sure you wear appropriate clothing. Prize: One armor recipe for their use for a week before the recipe is released to the general public. You can keep the recipe for your own use, sell it to the highest bidder, or share with your friends and/or guild mates. You will have the edge over the market for a full week.

Rules for Event 1. When the event is announced and the location is given, all that want to compete, shall find me at that location. 2. Each prospective contestant shall trade with me to be eligible to compete. Only the first 40 people will get a chance to participate. 3. The moment that you trade with me, and I acknowledge the transaction by return trade, you will receive a PM stating where you are to go for your competition. 4. You need to move to that location as soon as possible, you do not need to stand around in the crowd. 5. Make sure you have a hammer, needle, and skeleton key with you. They are not provided. In addition, you need to make sure you are wearing appropriate clothing. We will not be responsible for your untimely death via heat, cold, radiation, poison, or fierce beasts. 6. If you forget these items, you may not go to storage after you have received the bag location. You may purchase any item from any shop, but no storage runs and no guild mates/friends to aid you once you receive that location for the bag. 7. All food will be provided. You do not need to bring any spare food items. 8. You may bring manu pots, brs, srs, and HEs if you so desire. But no extra supplies permitted: (extra supplies include but are not limited to furs, thread, leather, FEs, bars, weapons, armor). 9. When you get on your bag, you are to make as many items as you can with the items provided. All bags that have been spaced have the exact same items in it. 10. When you complete making the items, bring all manufactured goods back to me. Turn them in and wait for your score. Only items turned in will be counted. You do not get to keep the items in which you made. 11. Points have been set aside for each item turned in. Only I have the values for each item. PMs asking me what the items points are will get you disqualified. 12. No saving places, exchanging bag locations, etc. This is not a group event. 13. Channel 6 will be used for the event. All questions will be answered there. 14. No guild will occupy the same map for the event. All maps of Draia may be used excluding pk maps. 15. There will be mods, official event team staff, and other volunteers to watch all areas to discourage cheating. If in the event you are suspected of cheating, you will be disqualified and will be banned from any event for 1 month. In addition, you will be posted on the Event Hall of Shame.

If you do not turn in the items you are wearing for comfort, then no problem. Just do not disrobe to turn in your items. There are separate bags placed in event of a tie.

What does this actually mean? When I manufacture, I don't wear anything so I can load up on materials. Should I wear armour & a weapon because there might be fighting involved? There may be cold places, hot places, just plain and nasty places. There may even places where wild beasts roam. So, if you are comfy being naked in such environments like these, then do so. I care not how you get to places, just that you get here on time. This is a manu event and getting extra exp for crafting or magic is neither a bother or factored into your final score.

Does this mean that we can't wear leather armor? Or we just can't bring extra? Thanks. You can wear it, it means if you attempt to take what you are wearing and turn it in as a event project and get caugh doing so, then you may be accused of cheating. I am only counting what you turn in as contest entries, but do not load down yourself with extra clothes to attempt to bluff the situation. If you fail making an item, do not try to replace it with a premade item is what I am trying to state.

Anyone can attend. To compete successfully, the maximum nexus you may need is artificial 3. The key here is that you don't need to be in the top 200 in manu to win this event, but you do need to have a little exp in manu (there is possibilities that you create something when you are below the recommended level just as there are possibilities that the top manu positions will fail), you may need to have nexus of no greater than 3 to attempt in making the items, and you need to have read the books to make some of the items.

3 artificial nexus is maximum needed. No. The player must be there to compete at the time. There will be more events shortly at many different times of the day/night that others can compete. I wont stop you from competing, but you may not have the ability to compete.

So what is medium knowledge base? Having read all the manu books except titanium? And if we have no knowledge at all, showing up at the event is pointless right? -Delia Medium knowledge base = have read the basics for weapons and armor construction, have read some of the lower level books in this as well. You need not bother to try to read all the books of manu or read the ones that just came out. If you have not read any books, yes, it is rather pointless for you to compete this go round, but some other events will likely be your speed.
