I agree that it would be a nice item for us bot developers to have access to.

This called "security by obscurity" and is highly looked down upon in the security community. A white list of who can issue admin commands and even forcing those people to login to the bot first are a much better way to go. (And yes, I know quite a bit about security)

Can you make sure that the logging of info like OpenGL versions is a config option? A few people might not like their system being queried for such information even if it does help our development.

If we went just to FPV, then perhaps the server could send actor data for what is in front of the actor, instead of a (assumed) circular radius around the actors current position. ie. move that circle X units in front of the person. That would increase the forward view distance and reduce the vision to the rear (which is realistic), mimicking natural perspective. Just a thought, but it would require server side changes. The server already knows what direction the user is pointed so it should not be too difficult. Just a thought.

This is an awesome idea. Not only can one get cool stuff for less than the EL store, it goes to support an excellent cause.

Ok, the error I was getting was because I am on a different machine than usual. I had forgotten to install EL 1.4.0 on it because the office firewall prevents me from playing the game in the first place. Once I upgraded my files things worked just fine. Now I need to find a more recent map making tutorial...

Compiles and starts. I can load maps, 2d objects, ground tiles. But if I try to add a 3d object it segfaults once I click OK in the dialog box. (mapedit.x86.linux.bin:18774): Gtk-WARNING **: idle activate multiple times without clearing the folder object first. Segmentation fault Sometimes it just segfaults without the gtk error. Hey, thanks for updating the windows compile guide. Quick 2 questions related to using the Makefile.win as opposed to DevC++'s way of doing things: 1: How are you getting the EL icon associated with the resulting exe file? 2: My resulting exe is 7MB in size as opposed to the distributable 2MB. Are you able to strip symbols?
