  4. Disconnecting every 15 minutes

  5. Disconnecting every 15 minutes

Good that helps me isolate the troubles. Ill do some more tests on my end, I was just curious
  6. Disconnecting every 15 minutes

I've created a Bot in python and the Bot is able to stay alive, and respond to some commands. But every 15 minutes I get disconnected from the server(well the server starts sending me some empty packets). The state of my socket is opened so I can't relogin it makes it crash. I send a Heartbeat every 25 seconds to the server(it's works because I stay alive for more then a couple of seconds) i'm just wondering if there is a special hearbeat I need to send each 15 minutes? Or is there is a special events that occurs that make the server send some empty packets? I've read the code From redknight and jelc but could'nt see what was wrong. because I send the exact same heartbeat (checked it with Etherdump) Thanks a lot for your help
  7. what are bots?

didn't even know they were for testing I tought they were just emptying bags so the map cannot have to much of them. thanks for the info, sounds pretty interesting. That can lead to auto Invasions WOW pretty sweet

  13. Bot testing.. some questions

I'm testing a bot that i'm creating in python, and I want him to "hang around" our guild chat, but on the test server neither me or my bot char have are part of a guild (even if on the real server both are part of DeL). I don't have 30k on the test server, is there a way we could be the guild in the test server also? thanks a lot for your help. BTW if youre interested to have the python code for the bot let me know. i'm in a really early stage but it's going good.
  14. Spell Visual Feedback

Oh if the engine does not support it it's another thing. I tought by seing the "Beam" effect or the "Grue" effect that it would be easy to implement light particles for spells.
  15. My idea is simple and I don't know if it has been already discusses. But It would be really nice if magical events(heal, summun, protect etc) would have a visual feedback. Let's say you heal yourself you can see something like this : or if you Protect your self it would add a transparent shield around you player like this: I know it's more eye candy, and everything. But I think it would add fantasy to the game Just my opinion thanks for taking time to read it If you feel that my suggestion is crappy please feel free to let me know (just joking here) [screens Copyright] Ok screenshots are from World of Warcraft (googled for them) and took them from: http://www.infoceptor.com/wow/gallery/
