Hey guys, I have a wee problem. I've been a bad boy and not played EL in a long time, so naturally I can't remember my ingame password. I have a feeling that if I don't remember it it's tough cookie for me, but the most pressing question is "is my user actually still there or has it been deleted as part of an inactivity sweep?" It's a little bit of a time waster to spend hours thinking up old passwords if the name doesn't exist in the datebase. I know this is a little bit unorthodox, but could someone please look up the name Ujio and see if it still exists? I would direct this to the right person by pm or something but I have no idea who does that sort of thing since perhaps a year ago Now, assuming everyone here is appropriately cynical I put forward the case that checking to see if a name is still in the records really shouldn't be a breach of confidentiality, etc. Should you require any other information as I'm sure someone might, I'll be happy to give it, assuming I'm allowed to be a little bit cynical about who I give my details to Much obliged, Ujio Edit: ps. i dont know if its still valid to post here...being as there are others, but hey er well if you do do it, i sugguest definately not in c2, but somewhere not already crowded (in the case of lag), but relatively close to a storage. DP maybe (outside it would have to be) also, if its possible, to help with the problem combatting the winning bidder not actually paying up, you could have the auction-maker put the item in the auction bot's inv/storage as you say, but make the winning bidder trade with the auction bot for the item, at the winning amount etc, and give them a few days/a week or so to make the transaction, or message the second highest bidder and tell them the item is theirs. implimenting a deposit system is your call. this could work with any of the above auction methods i think also, if this goes through, if this goes ahead, or if theres gonna be a elBay or whatever, i strongly disagree with automatically setting a minimum price as the NPC price for 2 reasons: 1) you might as well go get it from the npc and cut out this altogether cos it will probably cost you more and there is an unlimited supply from the NPC 2) you can get it cheaper on the market channel. thats why it was invented. so better prices can be charged than by NPCs or everyone will get them from there. at least set it at a half reasonable price, like 60% of market/NPC value. if this was a waste of time posting, please disregard my insane ramblings

i personally travel a lot through monster-infested maps, and i dont want to lose anything cos my mm perk dont work no more. on the other hand, if it only an arctic chimmy and its on a secret map of sorts, then its not so bad. but i expect that the update report was written like that to stimulate some interest, like when it was announced that well have all new animals like feran, panda, etc, that no information (ie where to find, strength, etc) was given. give people something to do; finding things out before everyone else, being the first to know ... makes people feel special and so forth. good old human psychology or its me just being overly suspicious and paranoid

yeah, its kinda 2237 hours here and i need some sleep at some point, so is there a time yet? i dont mean to sound ungrateful or anything, cos the prizes are the best ive ever know to be given away in a contest/event.

im having trouble right now actually connecting v1.1.2 Beta, the latest version of the game. just now i downloaded and installed the most recent Update from the website for the seond time, and that hasnt resloved the problem. i have no trouble loading it, but everytime it trys to connect it says: Can't resolve server address. Perhaps you are not connected to the Internet or your DNS server is down! the connection is there, or i wouldnt be able to post this. however i have no idea about 'my DNS server', mainly cos i wouldnt know one if it bit me on the behind. any help with this would be very much appreciated Ujio ps. i like the new loading screen, nice job [EDIT] dont worry, i was just advised by a friend of mine that it might be my firewall, which in fact was the problem. i didnt think about this cos i thought it would be already set to allow all EL stuff, but it turns out one small part wasnt. i look forward to seeing all the new stuff ingame. sorry about the post. you can delete it if you want
