I lost everything and a char of OA 48. That hurt. What hurt more was the number of good players who did not come back after the crash because they felt they couldn't risk losing it all again. History has shown that it has NOT happened since...

I have two main chars, Zit and Stewbaby. These I have played for over 2 years now, and never multiplayed. I made other chars, that a few months ago I decided to destroy. As I was not in a guild with other folks, and I had gained the goods legally with all my own effort, I had to take a chance to transfer the stuff to my "real" chars before I destroyed them. Problem is... my other throwaway chars have been banned, and I can't destroy them... neither can I use Zit any more. Please respect that I have been within the rules for so long and I know I did wrong but I did it to avoid overloading teh server with useless chars. Please re-instate Zit. Thanx

The tremendous irony is... the main char got banned and the stuff that was transferred got given away. One error of judgement in over two years is not exactly warranting a death sentence... not in any just society. The mods call is, as always, unfightable... but I believe that in the time Zit has been involved in the game, he has helped over 300 other new players with advice and free gifts (to give a hand up not a hand out). There are many that have had books delivered to them, then tried to pay and Zit has not accepted payment. The same is so with swords, armour and many other gifts. If you can accept the apology for what it is, then that is great. If not... bye then. I await the final decision... Yes or no?

And the Radon Pouches were 50. I personally loved being sent from the VotD graveyard to the middle of Naralik... when I was uncomfortable with Gobs. Long walk back

LOL... if you assume you have the right to enter private property just because it is "Peace Day" then obviously Corpus decided (in a very limited "Bot" way) that he had the equal right to ignore Peace Day and feed you your entrails. I guess if it was Peace day and you came on MY property uninvited, I might be less than peaceful also. You don't even have the excuse that you didn't know it was a *CO* privat map, as you have mentioned it several times. I guess you got what you asked for - next time PM someone from *CO* and see if it is OK to visit. Stewbaby

Whilst I commiserate with you... I checked rule 4, and I note that EL is not responsible for anything that anyone does on your account. Sorry, but maybe you should chhoose a better password?

At precisely this time, the channel went quiet because Zackary was spamming me in PM because he took offense to my help on the Newbie Help channel - advising that giving precise instructions actually does not help in the long run. I won't bore you with the chatlog. I gave him about 5 minutes of ranting, then I ignored him. I guess his mum and dad never gave him thhe boundaries in life that he really needed ;^) Are we getting more of these kids with low or no level of social skills? Or am I just imagining it? Is that other game (you know the one ;^) getting boring or slow so they are all RUNning to ESCAPE to EL? It takes a lot more time to try to help folks in the newbie help channel these days, so I may choose not to help if they keep it up.

As owner and operator of FotR (for almost 6 months) I find your Guild somewhat amusing

I found that *SOME* leprechauns have the equivalent of a pot'o'gold. I got 3 GC from the first one, then 54 GC from the next, then 1 fruit. Plus I have 16 new books to read, and many new things to kill. Thanks folks

LOL... I am amazed that so many folks are fooled by such an obvious scam! Guys and girls... engage your brains before you start up the game... it really helps. If someone asks you to borrow stuff, ask yourself a) do I know this player well? b ) does this player appear experienced (if so why does he/she need my stuff)? c) can I afford to lose the items? d) based on what I know of this player, would I lend them stuff on the street in real life? The answers to these questions would be an accurate indicator whether you should trust them. Those that fall for obvious scams like this get very little sympathy from me... sorry!

I mine Titanium mostly, although I woll mine whatever I need for a project (e.g. 30k+ of Iron to make 250 iron swords)

If the game will not find the server, and the link to ATI is "broken, perhaps you have some issue with your firewall or networking. How do you connect to the Interweb thingy? Dial-up (modem)? ADSL? Through a main computer that connects for you (Internet connection sharing)?

Hi Folks, Is there a definitive list of the cooldown periods? If not, maybe some folks could record them here so we can be informed. Thanks... and thanks to Ent and the other devs for keeping us on our toes

The feedback I have seen indicates that you may not need to in a month's time, as those that agree to it will still be there and those that don't like it won't. I did not initially like having to take two feasting pots to make just 5 steel bars, and then I felt that to increase my potion level to make FP would take 6 months (with the cooldown), but I now realise that I can purchase the FP and help the virtual planet. Still, I fail to see how a change that will cause a high level manuer to have to take a week to make one sword (including ingreds) can end up being a huge benefit to the game. Maybe I am viewing this without the "Shared Vision" perk ;^) I still LoVE EL... but as it is human nature to dislike change for change's sake, maybe a bit of insight into the reasoning and purpose would be helpful in cooling the players down.

There is already a player council... where decisions "about the community" are made. My impression of this is that this is to allow guilds to have an interguild forum to discuss guild-related issues. That would be inappropriate and pointless for the guildless to attend. Do the guildless not willingly exclude themselves anyway? By the way... I guess I must be an "Outlaw Guild" as I have not signed up or agreed to anything. Do I and my members get lynched now, or are we just gonna have to wait to have Ent petitioned to ban us? I can't see that a "non-aligned guild" (which is what you refer to as an "outlaw guild") can be punished or even be worth the effort to label negatively like this. When I was in the LoVE guild, there used to be meetings... most of which happened while I was sleeping. I guess given that this game has players from all over the world... some guildleaders are simply gonna get blacklisted simply because they choose to sleep. Seems a bit draconian to me.

Hi there, Just thought I'd let you all know... the LoVE guild ( ) is no more L_c just dissolved it, the website is taken down and the last two active members are now guildless. Thanks to all those guild leaders, members and other players who made the LoVE guild what is was for the 2 years it ran. A sad day... but we move on. Stewbaby and Zit (the last active LoVE members)

It would not be LoVE any more! The name would be the same, but it would be spoilt. It was a great guild, and remaking it would be disrespectful IMO.

I really have to say that if you are prepared to go into a PK map... you have to be prepared to be PK'd. You may as well complain that you left your washing out and it rained and your washing GOT WET! Who'd have thought that could happen? I am in a non-PK guild and guess how many times I have been PK'd... none. This is because I am smart and do not enter these maps. One more time... conventional wisdom says... if you don't wanna get attacked... don't enter PK maps. Oh... I can't believe that you actually went back in when you already knew what was up. It sorta makes you look a little silly, especially as you have complained about it now. Seeya. Stewbaby
