  1. Pathfinder algorithm

Yeah, It's happened to me a couple times if i try to mapwalk from the MM portal-in spot straight to the battle hall entry. Now it happened when i was mapwalking from the WS entrance down to Naralik, i got stuck near the puddles, near Fort Hallgarn, where the tree mushrooms are. Piper I am stuck at that very same spot right now. Changing my destination slightly didn't help, but when I changed it to near the Battle Hall the char started moving again. When I changed it back to the Naralik entrance, the char moved a bit further and got stuck again at 234, 120. Only continued moving when I clicked to mapwalk to the storage then Naralik again.
  2. Nature Hates Me achievement bug

    Yep, that was certainly it.
  3. Hi, Last night I was harvesting, got a hit and received the achievement. Today I was harvesting again and, when I got hit, received the achievement once again. From chat logs: [22:25:54] You gained the Nature Hates Me rank 1/3 achievement. Next rank is at 10000 damage. [15:39:34] You gained the Nature Hates Me rank 1/3 achievement. 4. Your opinion on ranging.

from Entropy's blog? People will keep carrying their money to NPCs to buy things essential for leveling a skill that produces one item that's remotely useful (or is there anything besides the Cape of No More Warlock in tailoring that does anything?) and people will continue to level ranging as well (and you can kill stuff, yell 'headshot' etc. ). Under these considerations ranging is already much more useful than tailoring. And being able to kill any monster in game from a safe distance is pretty neat I'd say Ranging was supposed to be a nice/useful skill and it's not. I didn't miss that post, I was just hoping that, after the initial money sink effect, things would get better. Well, they didn't so I don't think it's a good skill. That's my opinion (read the thread subject). That's why my opinion is that it's not a good design. Such a waste.
  5. Your opinion on ranging.

That completely describes ranging imho, nothing else. Yes, obviously It was designed that way, it's supposed to be that way. I don't understand how people could have missed that and have been crying about it on forums (not necessarily in this thread). Why is it supposed to be that way? Tailoring is supposed to be that way, not ranging. I abandoned it at level 28. Spent a lot of gc, which I regret now. But maybe not 1gc, but they should be much cheaper... and I agree, I doubt it's still an effective money sink. It's sad to see a skill with so much potential become something practically useless.

  7. SNES top 20!

I really miss Rock n' Roll Racing in that list!
  8. Feathers (adjustments)

I like the idea. Specially more feathers dropped. So true.
  9. Wolfenstein Enemy Territory

I've been playing ET for about 5 years now I guess. But mostly in brazilian championships or TWL.
  10. and the time per hour not harving can be used to gain xp in other skills... ...unless you're one of those ppl that afk their character in tree mushies while they're at work... nah! no one would do that Well actually lots of people harvest like 90-100 relative fast items, and then switch to dung for the remainder of the hour, while at the computer, but not actively playing. Or when playing: drop everything at the beginning of each hour and rush to the nearest harvest spot with an appropriate level, harvest 120 items, dump (or store them if there is a store close by) them and go back to what they were doing. Why is this? The 120 item limit! The only way to avoid this is implementing a different way of limiting the harvest xp. Edit: forgot to mention that lots of people store everything and stay logged in afk'ing while they are at work or during the night to make sure they get their 120 items-xp when they return to the game. It would be nice to have the limit removed, but then it would be way too easy... So I'm against it, specially if that would mean a decrease of xp per item. Anyway, I agree with the first post. I don't log out very often, so this doesn't affect me that much, but more than once I had connection problems like 5 minutes before the new hour and only managed to log back in after that. So I think it really is annoying that you have to wait for hours when you log in just to get harvest xp again. Changing it so that every new hour resets the limit for everybody would be nice and I believe it wouldn't be that hard to code. I'm all for it.
  11. I was really counting on training arrows being manufacturable or a price decrease. Did radu really say it's not happening? If so, I guess I'm quitting ranging.
  12. Linux 1.6.0 client

After playing some more with it, I noticed the spell fx are gone. But the harvest fx works fine. Is this the same problem as mentioned above? wth is libpng3? I don't seem to find any official website for that on google, only debian packages.
  13. Linux 1.6.0 client

    Works fine. Edit: false alarm
