Testing the new CVS-Client (with some new mapfiles), I fell in a hole in Valley of the Dwarves [43,37] - the z-coord seems to be wrong for this location. Edit: It's perhaps a general problem with the new Cal3d-client - here is a screenshot, where I am standing in a hole in WS (~1,5 MB): Hole in WS You cant see me ... the only way out was "#beam me" :-). Walking thru this point is no problem (the char only disappears for a moment), but when I tried to find the exact position and stood idle at this position, there was no other way out for me.

I tried the Client from cvs today, too (Gentoo Linux, thx for the ebuild :-) ) For now there are 2 bugs I noticed, which seem to be related to Cal3d: 1) The reflection is wrong sometimes (look at the face) It s in the garg cave in TG. I mention the place because it only happens, if I step to deep into the water. 2) Sometimes I stay in this position, when I click on the bag the moster dropped to fast (reproducible). Um die Diskussion um das Treffen wieder in Gang zu bringen - damit sie sich nicht lediglich in der Geschichte des Forums verliert. Soldus hat Angeboten in Tübingen etwas auf die Beine zu stellen, ich könnte Dortmund anbieten, was aber wohl für die Österreicher nicht gerade passend liegt. Das es ja nicht eilig ist mit dem Treffen ist, und heretic andeutete, das er im Juli nicht so viel Zeit hat, was haltet ihr von einem der beiden Termine: 06.08.05 13.08.05 Wenn wir schon aus fast ganz Mitteleuropa Leute anlocken wollen, sollten wir uns etwas nettes überlegen, dass es sich auch lohnt. Themen, die auf jeden Fall abzuklären sind: Wieviel koennten zu den angesprochenen Terminen kommen? Wie sieht es mit Uebernachtungsmoeglichkeiten aus (Jugendherberge / Hotel / Privat)? (Ich denke, ohne lohnt es sich bei den Anreisen nicht) Was kann sich ein EL-Spieler als RL-Freizeitbeschaefitigung vorstellen? Ich persoenlich bin fuer alles Offen, vorstellen koennte ich mir (Ist ja fast allgemeingueltig) Bowlen Grillen Ich wollt mir die Tuebinger Uni schon immer mal genauer ansehen Nun wer interessant, wer den kommen koennte, und fuer die Planung durchaus relevant, wie alt ihr seid. Sollte es (wie ja sehr praktisch) ind Tübingen statt finden, so bin ich sehr gerne bereit - soweit aus der Distanz moeglich - mit vozubereiten. The project of a constitution for Europe is great and will get my full support. We need a constitution, but not this one. The french are my last hope, to decline it. We germans do not have this possibility, and it seems that no one really know what this constitution will mean for us. 1) privatization of public utility providers As seen in a lot of asian and south-amarican states it will raise the prices and lower the quality of support. (In Paris the prices for water raised afaik for 300%, and failures in the water supply) Remember the power blackout in the USA ;-) 2) complete liberalization of the market 3) non-social market economy Freedom for the economy is a main topic, but not the social standards for the employees, they are even not really mentioned. A question occures for me: - Is the economy something we humans need to exist, or are we only the human ressource to be slave-driven by the economy? 4) Obligation to boost the military investements The constitutions says something like "the armed forces must constantly get improved". Never read something like this in any constitution - in our actual situation this is - imho - the completly wrong way.

Prinzipiell bin ich interessiert, und habe fuer ja gestimmt :-). Ich finde es nur schwer aus dem bisherigen Text eine Absicht zu erkennen, und eine Figur zusammen zu entwickeln hat sich als sehr schwer herausgestellt. Meiner Erfahrung nach machst es sehr viel Sinn laengere Absaetze zu schreiben, eventuell auch unetrschiedliche Geschichststraenge, die man zusammenfuehrt. Nichtsdestowenigertrotz werde ich versuchen dabei auch demnaechst mal weiterzuschreiben, nur blieben bislang die Ideen aus.
