so i upgraded from vista to windows 7. when i click into el it goes into fullscreen. which it was set as windowed in vista. but anyway if i go to the settings it wont change from fullscreen. so i figure let me try the game and see if that even works. when i log in ill see the screen for a second ill see my guy and where he is and then it stops working. any clue why its doing this?

i think the problem is my graphics driver actualy. it dident carry over properly from vista. the only problem is i cant get one to install. the nvidia one wont install :/ i remember labrat recommended a good site for laptop drivers but i have forgotten it :/ my graphics card is the 8800m gtx. the offical nvidia driver wont work. it says i dont have vista or windows 7 installed..... wtf! i remember larbret (greg) gave me a sweet website to download mobile drivers from but i forgot it.

im on now... maybe someone tripped over the plug....

I was just curious to know if im the only one that feels like this. First off i hate the mini events with a passion. One of the most boring parts of the game just got much more boring. It was nice to be able to click something and space out or talk to your friends for a minute and be able to gain a considerable amount of what your trying to harvest. This new mini harvest stuff SUCKS. Ive been around a long time and ive experienced many different changes with harvesting. All of which i dident mind a bit. anyone remember when you could be teleported to another map when you hit a teleport nexus? anyone remember when you had to click one time for each ore harvested? but anyway i really hate the new harvesting. Now i dont really know what kind of abuse was going on with the old harvesting system. perhaps people were macroing? alltho id imagine youd need a very advanced system to do it. I mean it would probaly be easier to hire a day laborer to come play the game for you. how do you guys feel about it? does anyone like it? was the old harvesting system being abused?

it was also closed in april. sometimes peoples opinions change after living with something.

i use the client. I like being able to be unique. its hard to be unique in the normal el world. granted there is custom clothes but theres nothing that only you have. but anyway i made my cape easy on the eyes in fact its hard to even see whats on my cape in the dark. i liked it being subtle. theres alot of designs out there that make me want to puke or goudge my eyes out. but at least everyone has their own unique look.

i think you guys need to first answer this question. what defines good or bad? Im sure the nazis thought that they were "good" while others thought they were "bad". perhaps thats a harsh example. but what makes something "good" and something "bad"? are "good" and "bad" merely defined by you parents, religion, role models, life experiences? "is matter "good" or "bad"? Also during what point in eternal lands did the general consensus become "bag jumping is bad"? Ive been around for a while and my speculation is that it was such a tight knit community back then that it wouldent be good to be considered the "bad guy" but now the community is not very tight knit at all. its fine to be the "bad guy" because its hard to keep people from trading or talking to or helping this "bad guy" someone will allways help. i havent been paying much attention to the EL community lately but id assume most of the "bad guys" stick together and help eachother. So now we have some people bag jumping and some not. obviously both parties feel they are doing the proper thing. but then who is doing the rite thing? so therefore no community could effectivly make a rule on it without defining good or evil.
