Riding is in the planning stage, Roja and Mikeman are working on the details. But riding faster is not, the server and client only support one speed for everyone. horses shouldn't be able to travel by ship by the way... and horses should be banned from Isla Prima... otherwise the noobs wouldn't stop asking "who gives me a horse for free?" "where can I get a horse?" "this game sucks... I Want a horse now" ....

I have a standard computer (Athlon 1,6 GHZ, Radeon 9600) and I run it with full details in window mode and have at least 50 fps... The shadow thingy is a serious bug, for those who run the game on full settings it just looks broken...

Smeg you too. Why is it that some people claim that they can get XP to run so damn fast, but NOONE can explain how to actually do it, or even show me a machine that actually does run fast? Ok, how about changing it to this? XP needs at least an 8 GHz processor to run at a reasonable speed, unless you know the super secret trick to get it to run faster on todays hardware. why is it, that users always blame their machine? Already tried defrag and scandisc?

Effectively, your feet are sunk into the snow, but the shadows look that way, because they are applied after characters are rendered. which looks completley stupid... just look at bunnies floating in the snow with their shadow 1/2 meter behind them... remove the sunk into the snow stuff and add feetprints instead... that would look much better, than what we have now..

Yeah, I really like your Idea Derin. But I think players should do some quests for their faction before they get this bonuses. To make all those quests and events less dependent on human questmakers there could be additional bots or special options on the existing NPCs... For expamle members of a certain faction could fulfill their quest when talking to an existing NPC... For example: The quest would be, all guild members have to bring together 500 broad swords to the NPC waiting on the Docks of WS... Quests like that could be easily random generated afaik

*lol* don't talk crap... I'm running EL on a 1,6 Athlon XP with Win XP as OS and i can surf, listen to Winamp, chat in ICQ and play EL at the same time and it runs good. by the way, I'm running Win XP on a Celeron 400 Mhz too and I'm able to play The Sims ...

the problem is not the documentation. the problem is, that this game isn't released under the GNU GPL. Why should anyone put effort into it, if others are gonna get cash for it and the one who put effort in it, will become a second class player anyways if he doesn't pay the fee?

You didn't really get my idea. The problem with player based guilds ist that they have no meaning for those outside of the guild. The factions I was talking of wouldn't compete with the normal guilds - you could join both a guild and a faction or just one of them or none of them. Please give me further comments! Don't just ignore this thread just because it's a long posting. I really tried hard to explain it in full detail. I would like to hear the opinon of the developers too! tia
