I completely agree with Adanath. I've always thought it funny using Titanium as the most powerful form of metal (although I will say Titanium is quite a bit harder then aluminium, just has a much greater heating point). On the otherhand, And I know I'm going to get flamed for this, But I really think we should include including Metal Alloys into the game. Not only will it add a whole new dimension to the proccess of Blacksmithing and Alchemy but create a much wider veraity of Metals an Metal Products. Then, If we really want to make Powerful, Ultimate Weapons out of Titanium, we would have to make Steel-Titanium or Titanium-Iron Alloy before actually making weapons from them. Damascus steel for example is a great one too. Now, just because Runescape also has Making Alloys doesn't mean that it should automatically be excluded from this Game. Afterall, the reason Runescape even has it to begin it is because it works and makes the process quite enjoyable but they certainly don't have the sole right to benefit from a good idea. P.S. Very Nice site, Adanath. This could help the game greatly (just by us knowing what we're al talking about.)

Little Advice, don't say anything when you don't know what you're talking about. I'll have you know, in all my time playing, I've never been "Bag Jumped" nor would I care if someone did come up behind me after my death and took what they needed. I have nothing against Bagjumpers in general since they are completely free to do what they think is fun in the game, Altough I'll grant they are somewhat annoying to some. I only distain the MM perk and how it unbalances the game. Also, you're completely right, Time is valuable! That's why player's shouldn't have as much free time as they want and should have to Bleed Sweat and Tears in order to Earn it. Ruln, What you are still missing is that the MM Perk is holding this game back on so many levels yet actually making the game too easy! Because the game is so easy, player's can reach level 30 in a Month of any given skill (with the exception of the underdeveloped Skills), thus forcing the Devs to constantly Cut the fun out of the game in the effort to curve the rampant growth in Player's skills. So long as we have MM, the rest of the game is going to continue to suffer. But if you really like the game as it is and actually don't want the game to continue to grow, then why don't we just pack up and Package the game as it is as the Finished Product because if you want the game to be fast and easy, you already have it exactly the way you want it. Anyway, Again, I'll say The Game Isn't Finished. In fact, it's just about Pitiful at how Small and Limited as it is currently. We are going to have to do a LOT of work of constantly Balancing and Rrebalanceing, Changing, Redesigning, and Complelely Rethinking Everything in the game before we can slap a Satisfaction Sticker on it. A Year ago, this game was completely Differant then it is now. In some ways, it was better and in someways it was completely pointless but, Like now, it was in a state of Flux where everything had to be changed and redone almost every week and it's going to need to be done again, even if that means changing something most may like if it means the game will be improved. The real issue is that everybody only thinks about Thier character and what's best for Their character (which is expected Honestly) But What I'm Trying to do is look foreword to the finished Product while trying my hardest to keep the system perfectly balanced and if that makes it where every player have to work Harder, Longer, and Smarter, then so be it. It was never meant to be easy for everybody. The game is just too "Simple" and Shallow to have what is known as a "Universal Constant" in the game. When at anytime the Game is completely Shifted to one extreme or another, the entire structure is bound to fall. MM is too Extreme and Shifts the Advantage of a player too far to one side. After all, We have Weapons and Armor Break in order to keep the Cycle going and to prevent one player from maintaining an advantage that is never meant to be Permanent. MM Should not be Permenent either.

Do you primarily fight or harvest/manu? In the big picture I see the removal of MM as having minimum impact on fighter types and major impact on harvest/manu types. I spent five PP's on MM. I don't see that as a free ride. Especially given how worthless it will be in a year or two when I reach def 100. I'm fine with that. I just see a disconnect here. I don't really care for the fighting aspect of the game. I do it on occasion, mostly as a change of pace. In your model I would have to devote a lot more of my time to building my def so that I could harvest the stuff I want to. I don't see this as a plus or a good way of enhancing the game. Increase the challlenge? Fine, but do it in the context of my chosen profession. There are a heck of a lot of books to read before you can harvest everything and some of them take a lot of time to "read". Well, thank you for finally supporting my points, even if you meant that as contrary to them. You pointed out quite nicely the Flaws in MM and just why it should be removed. Again, you have nothing to worry about if you actually think before you just start Mining with no regard for the consequences. First of all, 40-50 gc tops and you'll be able to walk to and from Naralik totally unmolested! But If you're too cheap to spend that much in exchange for all the Emeralds you can carry, you could always ask one of the 20 or so fighters there to walk with you! And then, even if you do die, you will lose at most a Pick-ax (only 15 gc) on the way there and maybe 100 or so Emeralds (which are free) on the way back (and that's assuming you don't just do it the easy way and Teleport.) If you fear losing anything else, then just don't carry anything else. It's not like you Need an Exc. Cape. Sure, it's nice but if you don't want to take the necassary Precautions then it's your responsiblity to take care of your possessions, come what may! Which is what we are trying to accomplish here. We're trying to make a game that is overall better then what it is now. Sometimes, that means changing it drasticlly, even if that means we're going to upset a lot of players. We've done it before and I can promise we will do it again and again and again until we get it right. Maybe the fighters may gain a "Slight" advantage but taking into account the fighting system in the game is going to under go several changes as well and will require yet more balancing on their part as, we'll just have to cross that bridge when we come to it.
  4. mm perkers

Neither! It's All about making it more interesting. You can't use the arguments of whether it'll more Tedious. Right now, it's both extremely Tedious and Boring. In order for Manures/Crafters/Etc. to be very productive, we follow a constant Work Cycle, of Harvesting to Making to Harvesting again then back again. If we stop that cycle for even a bit, we lose productivity. But as Boring and Tedious as it currently is, it's also very efficient; Too Efficient! Because of the fact Players can devote so much time and effort to one goal, we can mass produce anything we wish only by focusing on it for a relative short time. Added to that, Anyone who desires a “Free Pass“ through Hostile Areas can Multiply their Production by 120% just by investing a small amount into the MM Perk or Cape. It makes it so easy to make things in large numbers, that the Devs had to implement Heavy Limits on to our abilities, such as Long delays in Mixing Times, High Fail Rates, and even removing our abilities of off-loading most of our Goods, all in the effort of Curving our already Overly efficient Production of Useless junk. Removing the MM Perk will not make it any more Boring or Tedious then it already is. It will make way for further development of the game as well as providing at least a little incentive for the Devs to release some of the restraints we have on our abilities. It won’t do a whole lot but at least as long as player’s aren’t so Eager and Gun-ho to risk their lives, there won’t be 200 Player’s all Flooding the market with as much Junk and Money as there is now. And so what if a player gets himself killed gathering Whatnots and Wingdings from NeverNeverLand! I really won’t hold any real Sympathy for them. Enough people in this world don't think before they act as it is and EL is no different. This is because you need to look at the Big picture. At the moment, all you can see is the thought of Lossing your free ride in the persuit of Otherwise Free Materials all in the purpose of Leveling your Skills. I understand player's like getting everything for Free but, in the intentions of designing a completely self-supporting, and extensive Game, you can't just have a game where everything is just given to you. You have to stop thinking about what's best for the few and think about the overall Game. Again, This is why I suggested a less harmful and far more balanced means of replacing it (several times and in several different ways). It's not like you've going to start off the game in a hostile Map with no way to defend yourself! By the time you Need to go into a Hostile Map, you'll be able to, regardless of your choosen Profession. You for example! You have a Level 53 Harvest! What earth would you need to harvest in which you can't walk through a Hostile Map for just a short time? Hell, you have Level 30 defence so you can't be afraid of Skeletons, Much less be afraid of Goblins. And you can harvest a load of Fruit just fine so you'll never be at a loss of money! The worst you need to fear is when going for Diamonds and Rubies, neither of which you can't do without a couple of Potions in your pocket or a Friend at your side. Player's don't [bb]Have[/b] become part Fighter in order to progress their Trade. All they'll have to do is invest a small part of their money into atlernate means; Money they would have spent anyway on Life Potions, Armor, and the MM Perk/Cape. There's no real change except they'll have to take more care and spend more wisely and, of course, no more Free Rides. Also, Balance comes not from everyone having the same and equal Advantages and Disadvantages but comes from one person's advantage counter-balancing another's Disadvantage. Not everyone should all be able to do the exact same thing all at the same time. That's also why the the Perks should be givenout by Gods, so player's who need them the most will get them easier and If other player's wants them, they should have to Sweat Blood and Tears to get them. MM is hurting the Game because it gives all players everything they need far too easily by basicly making all the Materials in the game completely Free and takes nothing of any real importance from them in return. Just increasing the PP cost if it also will do little to curve the unabuse of it, one reason being they still have the ability to Reset constantly. No one Needs it in order for the game to work or to have fun in the game; They only get it because they Can. I mean, I have MM Personally because Know it's makes my work so much easier, not because it's necessary! I never even bother to get it until I wanted to try my luck with Titanium and only because I had 20 extra PP that I hadn't spent yet. I didn't really need it because I don't harvest in Hostile Areas regularly. I only resently started mining Emeralds because I wanted to try experimenting with polishing Gems.
  5. How Rich Are You?

I'm not exactly sure where I'd come in. My level of Wealth fluxiates drastically, as I stockpile a huge Trove of everything from Gems, Essences and Ores, then rapidly burn through them all until I have nothing, only to go throught he whole process again. But I can't say I'm ever at a loss of Money. I always have enough on me at all times to do whatever i need to do. I guess you can say I've never rich but i'm never Poor either. I'm at a pretty good place and since all my skills are getting pretty high, I think I'm investing my money more effeisantly each time I go through My cycle. Of course, This is based on the fact I do only Alchemy and Manufacturing. I've been trying my hand at Crafting as of late as a hobbie so my money is starting to drain away Pretty quickly.
  6. mm perkers

Granted but the number one reason Fighters can make so much money is because of Rare Monster Drops; One thing we are all trying to eliminate anyway. Do away with them and Fighters will have a much harder time with money. Even then, Being a fighter will only become profitable in later Levels anyway. Actually, I'm pretty sure you're the one who brought up the Fighters. I was merely putting them into the correct context. Aisllinn said it simply enough but I'll just add this! Every system in the game needs reworking! ALL Of Them! Yes, crafting is difficult and we are taking that into account as well as the potential of the planned changes. Trust us when we say we really are thinking these things through. All I'll say is Ditto. Whether you appreciate my views and opinions, I don’t really care but I can tell you, you’re just being annoying and non really giving us much information to base your own thoughts on nor are you making much of a case. Alright, So you disagree! We get it but do you actually have anything meaningful to add to the topic? If not, you should think about taking your own advice. Aisllinn, Alright. Hmm... Maybe just have all three? In such a case, the Cape would need to be so rare, there would likely only be 3 or 4 people in the game who own one. I mean, it would have to be 100x rarer then General Axe Construction book! well, I guess the rarity would need to be thought about and adjusted later. Either way, it shouldn't be reintroduced into the game for a while, just for balancing purposes.
  7. of bots, and the doom of the economy

I'll grant you that they buy cheap but I can't agree that they sell for very high. Right now, Salt Buys/Sells pretty cheap. Quartermaster sells VERY cheap but buys/sells in bulk. Nera's kind of expensive but then again, she also has a lot of really rare items. Everything else, she sells at market value. I can't say they're hurting the economy as much as real players but knowing they are always avalible kind of loosens the Market quite a bit.
  8. mm perkers

Actually, it'll make it harder for Everyone, Fighters included. It'll slow fighter's down and force them to play defensively since they no longer have total control over the fight. Granted, they'll have the least trouble readjusting after they've gained a few levels but that's only right anyway! They are fighters after all! They should gain the benefits that comes with with all their hard work. And you think that's unfair? You think non-fighters should automaticlly have the same benefits that fighters have, those that Fighters should have to work for from the beginning? Only at first but only because of Reckless Players who don't think before they act. I'm sure there are still going to be players who are totally unprepared trying to transverse dangerous Maps all on their own without thinking of the consequences and they're going to end up paying for those consequences until they learn. And Learn they shall! Also, just because this thread is mostly about Bagjumpers using MM, I'm not only suggesting the removal just because of Bagjumpers. They are, afterall, only a small problem. Besides, It's not like I'm suggesting we should Leave them all utterally defenseless but If the want invulnerability, they should have to work and pay for it! After all, the ones who are going to need it the most are logically the ones who are going to be able to afford it! Fighter's don't need invulnerability. They can defend themselves. But Crafter's/Manuers/Alchemists/Miners/Explorers will likely need it the most and such player's already make money very easily! they just shouldn't work for a short time and then bestowed complete and permanant invulnerability for next to no work! So, I see no drawbacks to My idea. If you see any real flaws, feel free to share. Obviously! Anyone would be completely satisfied when their are content in knowing that they can advance their character in Leaps and Bounds with as less work as possible! Sheesh. Why don't we just divide the whole game in to two Maps; One for PKers and Fighter and the other for everybody else. That'll sure make you happy. No fuss, No worrying about Monsters, No worrying about Bagjumpers stealing your Deathbags! you'll be completely free to advance your characters however you feel! Aisllinn, I understand you prefering the Cape over the Perk. In a perfect world, I'd too rather remove the Perk entirely but at this point, it'd do more harm then good. That's why I think the previous idea might be the best solution. It'll keep both for a wide Variety of players without both being so easily avaliable. Specific Points I focus on. first, We can't have both the Cape and the perk as they are right now in game at the same time. The Perk is far too easy to get and gives players complete power and freedom of movement. This is just too much power in the game as it is now. The Cape is also too easy to get and also gives player's too much power with the only dis advantage is that is may break during a fight but to non-fighters, this becomes No disadvanage at all, thus the Cape is severaly unbalanced in that regard. Then there's the fact that For players who reset often. The cape has a specific advantage there as those with the perk will lose it with the reset. Then again, they don't have it too bad since they can then regain the perk again in a couple of hours, so there's not really much disadvantage to either. (Of course, I'm still against the Reset too but that's for another debate.) Second, We need a way to keep players working for their advantages instead of just the onetime thing. This is refering to both the Cape and the Perk. By replacing the Cape with Repellants, it gives the same effect (with 0 chance of "breaking") but will effectively become far more expensive in the long run. How much Players invest will directly reflect their need for it. Then the Perk (or maybe no longer be called "Perks) will require the Quest to gain, thus no longer will players start off with MM just by working a few hours selling flowers! Granted, most players wouldn't waste their time doing so but since they could, then that means there's a problem with it. Ofcourse, I'm not saying there won't be many problems with it as well as many who oppose it but like I said, it's the best I can come up with and just leaving it as it is isn't really an option. Besides, with the new changes being planned, I'm going to bet these guys are going to end up Begging for these ideas. P.s. We already have a "Pker Repellent" of sorts. It's called a Dissengagement ring. Too bad they're kind of exspensive too but that's understandable.
  9. mm perkers

So, what you're saying is that we shouldn't bother to improve the existing Game in sake of Keeping the Players Happy? Why don't we just keep everything simple and easy so players don't even need to try! That'll Greatly "Improve" the game! I've never been one to believe that the game should be made to Pacify the Masses or Cater to the Whims of Malcontents. Of course there are going to be players bitching about any changes that will make the game harder for them. That's why the intent is to only make changes that'll improve the game as a whole. Like I said before, We'll Never satisfy 100% of the people 100% of the time But so long as the game is ultimately better in the end, I think those few who don't like it will evenually Get over it and get on with their lives.
  10. Ore Suggestion

Well, there's no such thing as Bronze ore. Bronze is made from mixing Copper and , um... something. I can't remember. Maybe Zinc or something. Aanyway, that's not important. I'm for this idea. I don't trade much in Ore but I'm sure alot of people do regularly. I'm even sure doing this will incourage more player's to become professional Miners since players can keep Ore Flowing in the system much easier.
  11. Gold and Silver may be too Soft to make into Armor and Weapons but making Gilded Armor and Encrusted Weapons would be a fantastic use for Crafters (Or Jewelry Maker). High Level Crafters can take Armor and Weapons as mix them with Gold/Silver and Jewels and Make very expensive Weapons and Armor that could even have Magical Properties! Gilded Titanium Plate Mail Items needed to make: 1 Titanium Plate Mail, 10 Fire Essences, 10 Gold Bars, 10 Silver Bars, Crafter's Tool. Same Stats as Titanium Plate but has extra Magic/Element Damage Protection. Samething with Weapons to: Encrusted Titanium Serpent Sword Items needed to make: 1 Titanium Serpent Sword, 7 Fire Essences, 3 Rubes, 1 Diamond, 2 Emeralds, Etc., and a Crafting Tool. Something like that anyway. I didn't exactly think it through much.
  12. mm perkers

Quest Requirement. Now that's what I'm been thinking too If the Perk itself Stays. God Quest for example would be the most logical choice. Say, after finishing the last quest of maybe the Crafting God (We still need one more quest for him.), It would be a God Granted ability that only follower of that God can have. This way, not everyone is going to be able to get it. Not even evenually since not everyone is going to want to follow the same gods. It's only logical anyway. Only a Holy Aura of a God can reasonably Keep Monsters from attacking someone. We could also do this with all the Perks with Other Gods giving other related perks. Of course, We going to have to make all the God Quests much harder but we need to do that anyway. Of course, Resetting would then not remove Player's Perks since It doesn't erase God quests, unless we change that too. Then, As for the Cape, I suggest removing the Cape entirely since the perk will still remain (In a form) and we can't have both in the game at the same time. Then Having Temporary "Repellents" could still be introduced as replacement for anyone who chooses a different God but Instead just having players pay such a Large sum just once for one item, they'll have to continuely buy more and more ((while also being very expencive) if they want to stand out in Hostile Maps for a long time. This will not only help the economy but also force players to carry yet more items to balance out the problem of too much carrying space, as long as they're not stackable. Oh! Ah shoot, I forgot her name but that NPC that's standing out in Morcraven Marsh. She would be the most logical one to Buy Monster Repellants from. She's suppose to be the Leading Expert in such matters and she's out there in a Goblin infested swamp so she much do it somehow (baring the fact if she has Def over 21 but I'm just doing this on a Story-line Level). She's a good distance from most areas and Slightly harder to reach then Mira (who is only a Merchant in all rights) and Player's without protection would need to fight their way through to her. Basicly, If we do keep the Perk and Cape, they really need to be either "Watered-Down" or severally Limited and/or restricted. We can't have players with such open freedom of having every Choice, throughout the game. Player's should only have perfect freedom at the start of the game but it should get harder (and more Interesting) for them as they go, not easier.
  13. mm perkers

You know what, Maybe I do have a slightly Sharp Tongue sometimes and perhaps I used Might have used it on occasion but I only do so in turn. Next time you use the "I'm only defending myself" excuse, you might want to go back and reread your own posts. All in all, your Opinions are your own and you're welcome to them but you've only posted one post with any real substance while almost each one of your other posts had been either Displaying shear Arrogance or “Defending yourself†from a perceived enemy. We may at times seam a little fierce in our debates but I suggest you learn the difference between us debating your points and "attacking" you personally. Perhaps I also was a bit to hasty and impolite to refer to your ignorance but I do believe that sometimes people need a Swift kick in the Rear (Metaphorically speaking) just to get their attention, Not as an “attack†to get them to change their view. So I tend to put a little Sarcastic “Bite†into my Posts; That’s just how I talk. So Just Deal with it! You’re way too overly sensitive dude. In fact, I’d say I’ve been fairly polite with my responses and have held back much of what I was really thinking! And when even Aisllinn pointed out that you’ve make a mistake, you responded with: How can anyone not take that as being Arrogant yourself, where (I’m pretty sure) you were Implying Aisllinn was too young and inexperienced Or maybe too much of a Dreamer to even be worthy enough to dare contradict you! Insisting that you’re right in almost every other post is kind of putting yourself in the same category that you’ve put us in. You can’t Admit to being wrong so much as facing Game facts yet you've Chided us for resorting to "You are wrong, I know better" tactics, even when faced with the proof. But I won’t fight other’s fight for them since she already dropped it. So, instead let me just end this here with this. You want my points, Reread the thread. I’ve defended my points just fine, despite whether you think so or not or even care enough to read them, I don’t really care myself. I gave you My Personal opinions, Knowledge from Personal Experince, Facts about the game that is well supported by the Forums and Records and from anyone who's experinced in the game and Countless Accounts from which I can't Account (Old M.A.S.H. joke) and I've beening waiting patently for You to do the Same. So yeah, I'm content to rest on that if you are. I keep no Grudges, I have no Enemies. This aggression dies with this Thread. I won't respond again to anything not on the topic.
  14. Essence Spawns

Naw. But then again, It would be kind of interesting to have some random item to spawn every so often in one of the forts in Kilaran, just for fun. Anyone who wants them can stand there and wait but they'll have to fight for the spawns. And I'm not talking about Essences so much. Something random Like food, a gold coin or a healing potion. Something just for interest but nothing that'll upset the economy.
  15. mm perkers

Ruln, I won’t even dignify any of that by quoting you but I will say this. Thank you for Proving my point and confirming my impression of you. I have done a deal of pointing out your Ignor- Um, …Arrogance but I hardly say I have “Attacked†you. Besides, You’ve done a better job of proving your own arrogance then I could have. Also, This is a Debate, not an Argument. While I have constantly pointed out flaw after flaw in your “Arguementâ€, you have, each time, come back with a response like “I know more then you because I‘ve older then you“, or “You’re acting like a Childâ€. You’re problem is that you are the one who can’t stand being contradicted. Whenever anyone disagrees with you, you lash back at them (though very Politely) saying that they don’t know what their talking about and are only arguing with you. You say we’re acting like 6 year olds but you’re acting the way a Child does when he doesn’t get his way. And I agree, I love this. This sums up your whole point quite clearly. Allow ME to Translate: “Who cares about the facts. I’m Right and You’re Wrong because I say so, so quit arguing with me.†Oh, BTW. I’m not a Programmer by trade though I am well experienced and Knowledgeable in the Subject yet that is not from whence I draw my sense of Logic. I am a Philosopher in Heart and Mind, with a good degree of Common Sense and, like everything, I draw from Personal Experience and a good amount of Forethought. Malaclypse, I can see where you might have a negative point of view of the old Game. I can only say I don’t share it. I can say I had a fairly enjoyable experience. When I started out, after the first two days of killing Rabbits, I met a very nice Player (I forget his/her name) who helped me out greatly, first by showing me the VOTD Graveyard and then by giving my 2000 GC upfront to kill Rabbits for him. If it wasn’t for him, I would have been still killing Rabbits at IP docks for another week, still fearing the Garg to even get on the boat. It wasn’t so bad for me at least. In fact, the first Time I had a bad experience was when, after buying my brand new Steel Shield, I walked into Kilaran and NeXt Jumped me and wouldn’t give it back, although I asked him nicely. But, I’m not one to hold grudges. Maybe you had a bad experience, I won’t doubt that. But It’s all about perception! The game use to have it’s fine points that we really liked and all we’re saying is that it has lost some of them. Swiss, I won’t say I’d like that. Then again, I don’t like much of the PK system as is but losing 100% is a little drastic. Although, with the new Rolstal Stone, the game might now be open to it. Of course, all the newbies getting killed by Bees won’t like it. The we'll have to raise the Newbie Drop Level from 7-8 to like 15-20. Then, all newbies are going to start scrambling to get their hands on a R. stone. Might hurt the economy though.
  16. Is your son a computer hacker?!

Aye. If it was missed, It's Our responsability to raise Our Oarents Right, since god knows they can't do it themselves. If we don't, their going to actually believe sites like this. Because of a lack of judgement on my part several years ago, my parents still believe D&D and Pokemon is Devil Worship.

Make a Valid Point and maybe I will. I've perfectly supported my points to the best of my ability and had reduced your points to Sqawled Bickering, While your arguement, on the other hand, has amounted to not much more then Whining from a Newbie fearing the loss of the Best Feature you could gain. There's a reason MM is broken. It's not suppose to be the "Ultimate Power" to get in the game. You want proof? It's in the game. Read the Forums. Stand around the Wraith for an hour. Talk to players in game. Play for more then two months. It's all right there. The data you seek is from the player's themselves. You'll know this if you actually took the time to Ask before you "Guesstimated" without actually knowing the player's themselves. Also, The Game is technically Beta. Maybe they did rush the game a little to get it into the Beta Stage but it's stll Beta by all defination. I'll do that when you look up the word "Irony." As a matter of fact, Yes. I could say I started playing games in general in 1981, with playing everything from School yardTag to Simple Card Games to some of the most advanced Computer Simulations on the market. I dare say I know a few things about gaming. And yet, all that means Squat here. Right now, we're talking about Experience in this game. Who cares what you've played before, as you've proven yourself just baout clueless as to This Game. I've been playing over a Year now, Some of these others are still around from when the Game was firsted Launched! So don't dare to think you understand the game any more then the rest of us. Funny how you seam to be trying your hardest to. At least, you shouldn't be trying to get under everyone's skin. And No one suggested you to "Go Away". It would be nice if you wouldn't just "wave" our Experince and Knowledge of the game away In favor of your Whole "Two Months" of playing. Look, We know the game isn't Perfect. We already know of all the Problems that you've so 'Kindly' pointed out. What we don't need is someone Claiming Game-Designing Superiority, yet Stating the Obvious while completely ignoring the key issues. Suffice to say, You don't know nearly as much as you pretend to. If you're so experianced in Game-Designing, why are you bickering in General Chat and not lending your knowledge to Suggestions and Development. Actually, quite a few. Not as many as now but EL was still relatively young back then. As of now, I'd say that the Community in the game isn't nearly as stable and as pleasent as it was back then. It's still nice and better then most, but it's just not as good as it once was. The reason for the decline is because the game is no longer fun. Without being fun, the players lose their reason for playing and the game loses it's community. While it is True that the Community kept people coming back, It is only the glue in which the holds the rest of the game together but when the Game suffers, the Community tends to fall apart. So, you're right. The Community is what keeps players returning. So, effectively, you've just proved Aisllinn right. The Game was so much more stable back then because it was so much more fun. The Game now may be more interesting but it has lost so much in turn.
  19. Just for fun......

Gah, #27. I hate my name. That's why I like to be called Kami. Of course, I love rare names, expecially for Girls. For Girls, the rarer the name, the more interesting Life she'll lead. That's why I'm going to Name my Daughters "Epiphany," "Eureka," and "Enigma."
  20. mm perkers

So the point of removing MM then would be what? As I have said, this isn't about Bagjumpers (although the Topic was originally about them). It's all about how MM affects the game as a whole, not just the few. The fact you can't understand this fact proves you don't fully comprehend the complexities within the game. ..... I'm not even going to comment. Your ignorance speaks for itself. Aside from the fact your calculations all completely off, the game is only in Beta for crying out loud. We just haven't gotten around to making everything "Perfect" just yet. And another thing, There's no way we're going to please 100% of the players 100% of the time. Sometimes a new player will join up, play for a while and decide that this game just isn't for them. You know what? That's alright. It's not always our fault or the game's fault. Some people are just looking for something completely Different. Also, Some players just Can't Play with the consistancy your looking for, for any number of reasons. But that's ok too! We understand and we're always here for whenever they get a chance to play. Then of course, there are the Riff-raff that only Joins too be Annoying and Aggrevate other players and not to play with any serious interest in the game and if they only play for just one day and are never heard from again, I say all the better. Then taking into account that a good number of those "Dead Players" are actually other players with secondary accounts that would rather play with their main character. They just don't use them but they rather not delete them for some reason. And even then, if only 1 out of 3 players who join stay on-board to play, I still say we have a pretty good Turn-out. It's not great, I'll admit but it's understandable at this stage of Development. We still have a good 300-400 Player's on-line at one time and thats just fine for Beta testing. Once the game is done, you'll have your turn over! But you gotten to know, your not exactly helping matters much by taking the "I know more about Game Designing then you Game Designers because I worked on a Antiquated Game 17 years ago on Antiquated Systems that no one ever heard of" Approach. Alright. I believe the Game needs work, You Believe the Game needs Work. It appears that we all agree that the game is currently in a state of Disarray but I'm getting the impression that you don't exactly understand just What it is that needs to be fixed. Play the game a little more, Get experince in every area of gameplay and Learn about the game you're trying to Help with. Then, come and post your thoughts.
  21. Rostogal stone?

Too things that'll fix the brokenness of this Egg. 1. It should be wearable. 2. It should have a chance of breaking (If it breaks, you automaticly get transported to hell, whether to die or not)
  22. halberds

Well, not technically defense but rather it'll reduce a players reaction time. Same thing effectively but whatever....
  23. mm perkers

aww come on, you know you like being it too seriously tho , did you read the entire post or my initial sarcasm got the best of your attention and all the rest seemed like verbose garbage? Um, Yes to both? Ruln, You have also not played for very long. The problem with this game is that it starts out slow and challanging yet remaining interesting and new at the same time. But after a while, it loses it's luster after you've been everywhere and have done everything, all the while, by just trying to keep it interesting, players attempt to accompish something that quickly Spirals downward into Entropy (I'm beginning to believe there's a Corralation between the Creator and his Name). Very True! But nevertheless, It's part of the game. I'm sure many people think having a God system in the game or a Magic System in the game is Pathetic yet others seam to enjoy it. It's called RolePlaying. Besides, There's a lot that I disagree with myself, in the game and in Real life But I've learned to fix what you can and to live with what you can't. You misunderstood my post. What about those who have no use for MM, yet still suffers difficulties from playing with a seriously unbalanced system. I'm talking about Manufacturers, namely. To be a Manufacturer, you must Train extenisively for Days on end but also require "Huge" Sums of money to do it. It's all because Leather is a NPC Product only and is sold for 10 gold a peice to start! Unlike Alchemists, who can Mine whatever they need whether they have MM or not, Manufacturers don't have alternative Sources. And then, to top it off, Manuacturers have to be masters of almost every other skill just to be able to master their Main Trade. But either way, your point is Moot. So what if you have to chase a Fluffy across South Kilaran! Tell that to players who have to Chase a normal White Rabbit across White Stone! Also, I understand Exploration. It's a big deal to me too. Which is why I suggested an Alternative! It's just not necessary for the game to have the Perk as it is. Oh, that's not what I find Objectionable. <_< But Nevertheless, you have the right to play the game any way you choose and I've never said otherwise! My only assertion is that you don't fully understand the implication and full impact the MM perk has had on the Game as a whole and how much it has been harmed by it. If this game is going to recover from it's Crippling Setbacks and develop into a truely spectacular Game, We are going to need to throw away the Crutch and have players learn to play with their own two feet and make the most out of their potential! We can't do that by carrying players though the hard parts when times get tough.
  24. How many got a Rostogol stone so far?

I'm afraid this poll won't get an as accurate an account as you'd wish. Poll like this will draw in Jokers and "Ballet Stuffers"
  25. Is your son a computer hacker?!

That is why it is our duty to Protect them and Monitor what they Read on the Internet at all times. There is a lot of Filth and Garbage out there that can severly Influance tem and do a lot of harm to their Fragile and Impressional Minds and end up undoing so much of our Hard work trying to teach them right from wrong.
