Installation works, but running the eternallands bash script fails if ~/.elc/showconfigsel does not exist. Reproduce: Rename showconfigsel to something else. Run /usr/games/eternallands. Or to be verbose about it: bash -v eternallands In Ubuntu 12.04 LTS desktop 32-bit with Unity, I am assuming it's getting stuck because the zenity server selection dialog never gets displayed but is waiting for input that never happens. Work around (until zenity is fixed): echo main > ~/.elc/showconfigsel

Sorry. I did not mean to imply the script was at fault. I believed it to be a zenity problem. The work around (renamed from "Remedy") is just a quick fix to let people play EL as quickly as possible for the new/average Ubuntu 12.04 EL player. Thanks for the link to the zenity bug report.

Someone must have kicked TrinityBot awake as it's working again. Perhaps make the change anyway so there's a failover bot for the app to use? Thanks!

So I had 36 action points when I started harvesting amber in Nordcarn Ruby cave with saw. "You started to harvest Amber." I get 2 since I'm wearing exc cape, action points decrease by 15 * 2 as expected. Harvesting continues. . . . "You need 30 action points to harvest this." Here is where I expected it to say, "You stopped harvesting." However, the harvesting effect is still active. I can walk away, go outside the cave, and enter Nordcarn storage all while the harvesting effect is still active. The harvesting effect does stop after harvesting Red Quartz and walking away. I'm using yesterday's "Eternal Lands Version 1.9.2" client from PPA (Ubuntu 10.04 desktop 32-bit).

All issues I reported regarding amber in this thread have been fixed as tested on main server as of Sun Jun 19 08:12:54 PDT 2011. Thank you.

This follow up is probably just a consequence of the same thing, but my session counters say I harvested 11 amber minerals when in fact I only harvested 1 (* 2).
