    I haven't even tried using an arena yet. But I do know that with my low ranging level of 24, I spend a lot of arrows missing.

     

    I've tried both the short bow and the crossbow. As it currently stands I probably won't do much more ranging at all. I consider myself an allrounder but at the current cost for ranging, this is one skill that I probably won't even try to develop further until I'm at a very high o/a or unless I get really lucky and harv an 800k stone.

    hi it would be great if you could add a new number to the selling buying dialog of npc's

    buying 35 or 36 items option.

     

    It would be nice if 35 were added as an amount to the NPC dialog - couldn't it be simplified to a find & replace in the code? It currently takes 3 transactions in order to get 35 to fill up your slots. Or even a change from the 50 to 25, so a 25+10 would only be 2 transactions not 3.

    I try to sell my items at a fair value and not price gouge, and I do choose NOT to trade with certain people. I also rely on /trustbot and when i don't recognize a player's name, I ask around and check /mercator too.

    Since ranging can be very expensive, especially for new players or those who are just starting to range, I think a William Tell Hood would be a great addition to the game.

     

    The only hood currently in the game is the Universal Hood while there are many capes in game. The William Tell Hood could be a new tailor-made item, and a Book of Hoods already exists. It could even look like an apple on the head :) just kidding!

     

    Benefits:

    * 5% more ranging experience

    * Your ranged weapons are slightly more accurate

    * 5% more damage

     

    To keep the William Tell Hood limited to new rangers, it can't be worn if more than 30 AP potions have been consumed or if the Wilhem Hood Perk has been taken.

    that when you make a suggestion to the game, you open yourself up to being insulted, denigrated, ridiculed, and shouted at?

     

    Don't people know how to make their disagreement without being insulting? There is absolutely no need for name calling to make a counter point!

     

    I am finished making any suggestions or even posting in the suggestion section. I am not lazy nor am I whiner! I do not appreciate being shouted at.

     

    I truly wish they would moderate that forum the way that the Help Channels are moderated.

    Could it possibly be that I have no interest or desire to learn ranging skills? Of course, what players feel about game development doesn't matter at all. Thus the decision I reached.

     

    To quote an old Radu article:

     

    While the players usually play the game more than we do, most of them only care for their best interest. It is up to an objective 3rd-party to carefully examine the implications of any game system modification. That 3rd party is us, the developers, who unlike what some players think, want only the best for the game. It takes someone with a global vision of the entire project to decide what would make the game better for everyone.

    Well since we cannot opt out of a quest, I'm not going to play EL anymore. I spent 3 days trying to complete the hawk assignment for Haidir to no avail. I ended up so frustrated that I started being obnoxious to a total stranger!

     

    This is supposed to be only a game and an enjoyable one. Three IRL days trying to complete something and not being able to opt out is ridiculous - so goodbye to all I've met playing EL!

    Got same quest two days in a row and same thing happened both days, so it's definitely a bug. Here's her quest info:

     

    For my next perfume batch I will need a special cactus. It only grows in Desert Pines, around 242, 125. I need 40 pieces. And you will need some leather gloves to harvest it. be careful, it stings!

     

    Both days, I've had to harvest 80 cactus before the popup box appears. Wasn't paying attention yesterday, saw I had over the amount (76) and went back to her. She wouldn't accept them and I had to go back to harvest 4 more cactus.

     

    She does only take the 40 cactus from inventory but you have to harvest 80 in order to complete the quest.

    Say you're in channel 1, 2, 3.

    Your default channel is 1.

    Click 2. Click view all.

    Your default channel is now 2.

    Click 3. Click view all.

    Your default channel is now 3.

     

    This I've done! When going back through history, I've clicked view all and it changed the default without my realizing it. What I'm saying is when you #jc channel - you can't #jc channel default so that it won't flip through the other channels :icon13:((((((

    It's too easy to send a message to the wrong channel because of how the + is used to determine the player's default channel.

     

    Many messages sent to the wrong channel would be avoided if the players manually set the default channel with a command such as, #set default channel guild" and the + were removed from the channel header listings.

    It's more than just the EMU problem with Xaquelina and getting assigned it by the Tutorial NPC. The only thing Tutorial tells you is to store everything cause there's a goblin named Bob. You've only been told to increase P/C to 6/6! Besides it doesn't warn you about having a certain A/D level (for monster to ignore you) and what newbie is going to know stuff like this?

     

    To prove my point, I started a brand new character to see stats when Xaquenlina is assigned. Take a look:

    Overall is only level 15, and A/D is only 10/10. How can a newbie possibly survive unless he/she gets really lucky and does not to run into Bob?

     

    If there were not a problem with PL's low spawn of boars, large amount required to finish quest, and large numbers of players hunting there, I wouldn't have said anything about it. But when players start yelling at others that you've taken "their" boar for Haidir's quest, someone needs to look at what's going on. This tells me there is a problem! I'm not in the game to argue with other players, I'm in the game to enjoy myself!

    About the topic i agree there should be a way to abort the mission with an 72h and more penalti , also it would be cool if after some quests (example 30 daily) u get a bonus quest so basically all would try to do all their daily without aborting them

     

    Ooooh, I like your idea :) The 30-day bonus could be something as small as 30 feasting potions (everybody loves those!), then a 90-day bonus of like 100 feasting potions.

     

    Can you tell I'm addicted to those? :)
