Go to User>Library>Application Support>Eternal Lands Open EL.ini with textedit. Scroll down until almost at bottom and look for #use_animation_program= 1 Change the "1" in '#use_animation_program= 1' to a "0" Save, make sure you don't change anything else. Well, I searching and didn't find anything like this but it wouldn't surprise me if this has been suggested before ; so if it has let me know. I suggest implementing monsters that use the archery skill to attack you/when attacked. These monsters could be just a monster already in the game with a bow, instead of a sword. This could 1. Provide a practical use (outside of pk) for the point defense things. 2. Allow for Team Area's (like instances/invasions) where you would need a mix of archers and melee fighters to take on the mobs. I accidentally moved my EL folder from User/Library/App support and my client would not work.
