I dont think giving the stronger characters better armor is a good idea. Maybe Hazor could help us here with designing White and Black Helms to show each peice? And maybe we can get Labrat to make it so that the client shows them all? JaneMuffin

I was just wondering if any of you guys ever used BBSes. And also if you all remember these BBSes: The Whistlestop BBS The Club BBS The Bitter End BBS If so, do any of you remember the following people: Dillo Hambone Goat The Stud (there is lots of others but I am only on my second cup of coffee so I dont remember them atm) I am not sure these BBSes are still around, but they were sooo fun! I miss all my friends on them. It was a great way to talk to people from around the country (USA) before the internet was a popular thing. JaneMuffin

Okay now you are showing YOUR age The first computer I ever used was a 386 with 4 MB of ram, and I think the modem was 1200 baud or something. All I remember is that it took 4 hours to download the original doom game from my friends BBS Anyone remember LORD (Legend of the Red Dragon) door game? Or even Usurper. I was teh champ on those games!! The sick demented part is YEARS later I found a wwiv board, installed it and just used it ONLY to play LORD. That game was sooo cool!! YaY!!! I am not the only one!! For a minute there I thought I was talking to artifical life everytime I posted to one of those (get ready to be transported back into teh past) wwivnet subs I miss it sooo much!! These forums take me back to those days a bit but its still not the same. I ran my own BBS with 2 other friends. It was called "The Slave Pit" (Reference to GWARs fanclub). We ran a WWIV board. Back in those days we used "Telemate" to connect to other boards. *Wipes tear from eye* Those were the great days when DOS ruled the world and windows was optional!! Give me back my DOSKEY!!! Once our board was "Hacked" and the guy formatted our whole computer just because those ebul WWIV boards had mega back door problems. Now I am gonna go hug and kiss my old 386 and thank it for all the great times Does anyone remember any of the users? And LabRat what was your handle? JaneMuffin

Okay I have tried every possible way to do "skin" color for my own "wicked" purposses but since I am not really an artist like Roja, I cant for the life of me make it look good. The shading alone took me 3 hours!! and it doesnt even look good!! I am not good at shading and muscular structure so maybe someone else wants to give it a try, someone more artistic. On a lighter note, I can put any kinda image on any cape and make it look semi decent One other thing, does anyone have any idea how much it would cost to change what my character looks like?? She is constantly pissy looking and I am sick of short red hair. I dont want a dragonii or gnome (god forbid Tanyia bottle a muff!!) I just wanna start over without haveing to make a new character (i.e, keep all stats but just change the way my character looks). JaneMuffin

Since what we need most are pawns (and there is alot of players in this range of melee average) the formula will not be changed. Now I suggest you train a bit more and get a melee average of above 40 if you wanna be something else (EDIT) Hay why not try to be a King? Although your idea about changing them before was good, I cannot change them anymore. Lets try it this way, and if it does not work out then the next game will reflect different melee averages Trial and error JaneMuffin

I have had nothing but luck with the Artificer perk. 10k FE = 10 efes or more I have also heard this from many other players. Once we did 100k FEs (as a group of 5 people or so) and I am not sure of the exact count of efe but it was somewhere over 100. I would not get this perk just because of the modable weapons though, in that case it really in not worth it at the moment. Also I have made alot of extra mana and extra healing pots with the perk but they are a waste because hardly anyone uses them (afaik) and they take too much storage space. JaneMuffin

Okay hear me out before you shoot me Wouldn't it be cool if we could get XP for chatting? Maybe that is how the Charm could work! Like for ever 1 million words you type you get 1 charm point!! It would be so very awesome! Or even if not for charm maybe a different skill altogether. Something like a People Skill This would be way cool I think for the people who hand in channel on all day and help out or even people like me who starts chatting just to pass the time while mining, then total forgets to mine I have not given it much though as the idea just struck me, but maybe someone else could take this idea and add more to it JaneMuffin

Okay this is how it will work and what people I need doing what. Prize Cordinator- Take the donated prizes and decided how they get passed out. Announcer - (A good RPer prefferably) to annouce what is going on and the moves) Comander Black Team - (Good chess strategist) To tell what peices to move where. 2nd in command Black team - (someone who knows EL stats and how to use them with fighting) To tell Commander who should fight who. On more issue that was brought up to me is: "if a pawn makes a chess move that captures a higher ranking piece in a real game of chess, how will that work for el chess?" Answer: They will fight it out. Might not seem fair but this is ultimatly a PK event just using the legal moves allowed by chess regarding who attacks who. Okay how about the only time the XP gets counted is in channel 1, 2, 3, 4, 8 and GM or guild chat? That way there are mods there who can report spammers? And as for GM and guild channels well they have their own authorities to deal with spammers JaneMuffin
