Did you know that Sean Penn (yes the has been actor, who even Modonna dumped) was threatening to go be a human shield at one of Saddams palaces?? Not at a school or a hospital but at a palace!! lmao, priorities! But I guess being one of the rich they stick together Was this directed towards me? Actually to tell you the truth Iran deserves to be invaded, but I would be 100000000% against it. Not because I have some sick loyalty to a country that not only threatened to kill me and my family because we happened to be catholics instead of moslems, but because I would HATE to see one more life (American or allie) being taken for the sake of spreading Freedom to a place where it would not be understood. I think you all know that it was the young university students (who are now protesting against the goverment) who started the revolution that eventually turned Iran into the garbage it is today. In Iran back in the late 70's 90% of the population believed like Micheal Crook does, that the Government is evil and that the military sucks. Once I saw my dad sitting alone in the livingroom looking really depressed, I asked him what was up? He said that he had just watched a news report that said George Bush is an evil dictator and that we should all group up and make sure he is toppled. I found out later that he watched the Micheal Moore movie Ferenheit 911. I would NEVER say that my dad is stupid, but he was not born in this country and its very hard for him to distinguish a real documentary and the rubbish that Micheal Moore made. My dad continued to tell me how in Iran before the ousting of the Shaw, there was alot of propaganda like this being spread by the "Revolutionaries" Can you imagine our fear?? We left Iran because we hated the new government that took over after the Shaw, not just HATED but FEARED for our lives everyday!! (Are there no other persains who play this game???) My dad was worried the same would happen to this great nation. (Before we moved here he would tell us fanciful stories at bedtime, "When we get to America you will see that the streets are paved with gold, and that everyone is free to think anyways that they want. Everyone is educated, because education is free!! The people never discriminate you because you are not the same as them!!") Yes most of it was false but not because the goverment is evil, but because the people hinder the open mindedness. I clarified to my dad that Michael Moore is a Left wing fanatic and that everything he says should be taken with a grain of salt. I also told him that with the checks and balances system we have in the US it would be very hard for a revolution like the Irainian Revolution to happen here. I will not say that I am a Republican, and I KNOW I am not a Democrat. At this point in time I dont agree with either side! If my dad heard about this Micheal Crook guy he would prolly freak out!! I mean WE know how to appreciate free speech. Its the people who have never felt repression who dont understand what freedom means. And the others? The ones who were repressed and now have freedom (The afganies who still wear the burka??) those people have been ingrained to HATE freedom and to believe that freedom leads to heathen behavior. Now tell me, if those people do nothing to help themselves, why should America waste its soldiers and it's money and it's time?? That would be the only reason I would "spew" about Iran getting "invaded" (Another of my favorite saying that will stir a few feathers, plese dont keel me!!!) Would it be hard to change the maps location as soon as it became well known? I am thinking it might be alot of work but I figure it take at least a month for evryoen to know about a secret cave, so an update every month or so would be needed. Is that alot of work? (I dont know anything about adding maps to the game.) JaneMuffin

I agree with LabRat here. I ALWAYS try to return death bags. EVEN if an ebul pker shows up and says hay thats my bag, I just hand it over. And for the random new players or scammers that may br readign this thread, a really really good way to make friends is to return death bags. When you lose 20k worth of equiptment because of lag and inability to restore you are very greatful to run back and find that your bag is safe and that some kind person has even refreshed it for you. I am not saying you are intitled to your bag, but many people dont like to use "found" items, they would rather return those items and get their equiptment in a an honest way. Also, if I find a bag with leather armor and s2e and 200 gc and some fruits I automatically think "OMG! some poor new player was killed and this is prolly his/her worldly possesions!!" I try really hard to find them but many of them dont hang on any of the common channels. It would really help those players out. I remember finding fruit in MM (after only playing for 1 week) and thinking "w000t!!, I am gonna be rich selling this to the tavren by Raven" What I did not know was that there are goblins in MM. I died over and over again tryign to retrieve my Tutorial armor That was a sad sad day!! I am sure alot of players have experienced this when they were new. PL is a new player death trap now too though, so this bag tagging would really be usfull to us honest players JaneMuffin

Learner you truely are a genious!! How did you get them all in one place? I was also wondering if they were on a mutiple combat map would they be able to over power just about anyone? (If all 100 were present?) One other cool idea is to get them their own secret cave for the anthill that is a PK map! I would be willing to donate for something like that! Oh!! It would be really cool if the cave was underground and mapped out like a forreal anthill!! Also every few months you can change the location. Can you imagine just walking around a random map and poof! you fall into the PK anthill!! That would be sooo awesome!! JaneMuffin

Wow!! This topic has really expanded! I think we can all agree that Micheal Crook is an IDIOT, but he has a right to do what he does. He will have that right until he is preceived a threat and then the government will put him out of commission. Americans have alot of patriotism and its great. But all nations have patriotism. My husband is from Turkey and if you ask him (and I am DEAD serious) he will tell you that not only was Abraham Lincoln Trukish, but so was Elvis Prestley and the whole Kennedy clan! May sound outlandish, but the fact of the matter is that people like to praise their country and be prooud of where they live. Some people like Micheal Crook take an opposite stance and choose to bash the country in which they live, which is 100% okay, because in other countries with less freedoms (I mean mostly IRAN, but Iraq too before Saddam was toppled) he would be killed for his opinions. As an example, anyone here ever read the book "Satanic Versus" by Salmon Rashdi? (I am not sure of the spelling of his name). That poor man was not only run out of Iran but was hunted all over the world by people who did not agree with him. Also, in Iraq, peoples whole families were slaughtered because they spoke up against Saddam and the secret police. I am not saying this from media reports either! My Sister in Law (Well soon to be, they are ingaged) and my aunt and a few other people I know where born in Iraq and spent most of their lives there. As a matter of fact, my aunt told me a story of a co-worker who's father was anti-Saddam. Guess what happened? They whole family disappeared! The Father had made a mistake of bad mouthing Saddam in a coffee shop. Another incident I heard about is a group of woman (presumed to be prostitues) were hanged in public for having sex out of wedlock. And yet another, When I lived in Central California, there was a TV studio/Cultural center next door to my house. The man who ran the TV station, KBSV-Assyria Satalite, was put on a deathlist by Saddam. One day as we were sitting int he back yard we noticed that there was swat agents on the roof of the TV station next door! We went inside and waited until the situation was resolved. That night on the news they said that soemone had tried to kill the TV guy!!! Later the TV guy himself annouced it was one of Saddams Henchmen. After the war with Iraq he successfully sued Saddam for 2 Million dollars. The case was never confirmed (prolly cuz the guy did not want to share his money, I would have been the first in line, "I am your Father..er Mother!!) Saddam was a BAD guy, I am truely happy he is out of the picture. But I think I have mentioned before, I really dont care for the middle east at all (and I can say this cuz I was born there). I feel they have not contributed positively to our society for a long LONG time and have only caused trouble. One last thing (and please dont beat me up for this) I think we are wasting American lives and in the end it wont be appreciated at all. Whats that saying about never trusting a snake? That snake is the middle east, no matter how good you are to them they will always turn around and bite you in the end. I support our tropp 100% and althought I dont agree with the president on everything I think he is brave for taking on the middle east. Althought I agreed with JohnnyWraith at the time of my first post, I do not anymore. Yes I think it's wrond to "steal" a spawn. Ussually if someone comes to where I am training I will A) Leave and come back later or Fight faster No I dont think Enyo thinks the spawn is hers (i.e. Enyo KNOWS she does not own the spawn) I have had my problems with Enyo in the past, but I am willing to give her a chance. Jezebelle said in a different post that she does not like when people judge someone because of rumors. I agree with this. Enyo already has a bad rep regarding spawns and pwning peoples PMs Can we all just give her a second chance? Because from what I see on her post it sounds like she has learned the error of her ways. Also, JohnnyWraith can you please post logs next time? I admit because of my negative experience with Enyo before (and some rumor) I hastily attack her and I was wrong. I agree that is a wonderful idea Although the lag and die issue has to be addressed too. There will be alot of peole angry if they die from a lag and lose their stuff, esspecially since the lag issue has been alot more of a problem recently. If there is a way to implement not losing your stuff if you lag, or automatic unfailable flea when you lag or when your #ping hits a certain point it might solve this problem. But then again I dont know much about pings and stuff, so people might try to cheat this feature. All I am saying is this, the idea is awesome, but its going to get alot of disagreement if there is a lag death. JaneMuffin

Johnny, I have a good suggestion for you: Type #ignore En...er I mean <playername> Then do what you want at the spawn, because ussual who ever gets to the creature first has dibs. Everyone know that no one person owns any of the spawn. I personally share even if I am there first because I know this is only a game and if I am all stresssed out trying to hog a spawn I am not going to be enjoying it as much. Plus just imagine what would happen to this certain chick if she died after pissing everyone off? I personally would have no inclination to run and save her bag, I might even go as far as: #gm !loot death bad in sewers, have at it!! Okay so that a bit screwed up. I thought about that Lyanna, but this first game is going to be mostly a test to see how its going to go. Right now, I have not had anyone PM me to help with Maps, commanding or fighting strategy, so as it stands now we wont be having a chess game. JaneMuffin

I dont know about Russia or Romania but I was born in Tehran Iran during the revolution and I know first hand about the lack of "perks" there. I mean the day we left, I was around 5 years old and the soldier gaurding the entrance of the airpost refused to let my family in because I was not wearing a scarf on my head. But thats not the worst of it. One of my earliest childhood memories is going to an outdoor market with my mom and seeing a van speed into the busy market, skid to a stop, and 4 armed females wearing full black head to toe burkas poping out and grabbing a lady who's scarf had slipped a bit to show her hairline. They took a thumbtack and pinned her burka between her eyebrows. Even worse then this, I remember after the revolution had settled a bit the soldiers would come to our house every weekend, just cuz my father was on a "watch" list. They would search our whole house, turning everything upside-down and if they found anything they considered "contraban" they would haul my father way to get whipped. What do I mean by contraban? Pictures of Jesus (My family is catholic) or pictures of the old king, history books that did not reflect the current teachings of the new administration, and of course the worst of the worst, any type of alchohol. I remember being on the roof of our house with my dad and screaming down at the protesting student, "Death to the iatola komeni." I also remember my mom screaming and cry when again the soldiers came and dragged my dad away because of his viewpoint. I dont know about the freedoms in other countries but I know that compared to what we had in Iran, America is paradise. In fact this country is so fair that an idiot like Crook can talk all he wants and most people will just write him off as another nutcase. Can you imagine how horrible it would be if Bush sent out a few henchmen to have people offed if only for thier opinions? Think on it. JaneMuffin

I read your whole post and I also read both links above. I agree with you that this guy is an idiot and should be euthanized asap. The problem is he is trying to get a rise out of people. I mean just look at the kind of stuff he writes. If he really felt the way he does he would move to another country. Trust me I am 110% sure he is just trying to piss people off. One last thing, I dont think any person (liberal or anyhting else) would agree with this guy. I would like him to start a web site with peoples name that agree with him.
