    Nope, I'm not a salesman at all... as I said, it's analysis/dev/implementation experience. (Mainly high-impact stuff for large multi-nationals on AS400s) And as for your comment about: I thought one of the reasons for the changes was to prevent AFK'ers?

  9. Grouping Potions

    I agree whole-heartedly about the furs... Why does fox fur not stack, when the other furs do? I can think of no logical explanation for this... As for the potions... I can understand it maybe a game balancing issue... but again there is inconsistency... Manufacturing potions don't stack, but harvesting ones do?
  10. Testing New Formula

    I have a problem understanding the issue over the harvesting speed... The current harvesting system was put in with very little play-testing obviously, as it has caused SO many difficulties/boredom for SO many people. Yet this system was installed anyway... Now on the test server, it's been tweaked, and we've been encouraged to actually go test it, with new chars, current chars, etc... just test, test, test! So, a LOT of us have gone and tested it, and there hasn't been any negative feedback - its much much MUCH better. But for some reason, the version we players have tested (and like a lot more!) isn't going in yet... This is despite the problems we have with the current system - which could not have been tested too well, by the nature of so many people being annoyed with it! Why delay something which is tested and satisfactory, when SO many users are affected by the current system?? This does NOT make sense to me... I have over 22 years of systems analysis/dev/implementation experience, and user-satisfaction is always a major criteria

    This new version on the test server is SO much better... I can actually mine titanium again...Woohoo! Time to mine full load of titanium ore: Harvesting Level 45/6 Live system: >28 minutes Test system: >13 minutes The test system is much closer to the original speed... and is a SIGNIFICANT improvement over the current Live system. When is it likely to be installed?
  14. Please can you speed up the decay/respawn rate of monsters? Especially gargoyles! It can be quick to kill, but the body lays around decaying for ages... then you wait until it respawns. Any way at all to speed it up?

  17. I would suggest a rollback... while we were slightly annoyed/pleased by the havesting events... at least there were some positive sides This update just seems to have negative response... and as with all systems... if the users hate the 'new upgrade' then you take it out, and rollback
  18. Vegi Hunters Doomed!

    It's not just veggies... it's ALL harvesting it seems (and some manu)... It takes me 20 seconds now to find out that I was overloaded and didn't harvest (at least let me know i can carry the weight BEFORE I have to wait that long?) Seems like being a miner of any kind sucks now... but for a dwarf to be unable to mine really is TOO much! It takes me 20 seconds to mine silver or fruit... and 2 seconds to make a HE now! Are you trying to bore us into leaving? I LOVE this game... Please fix it!
  19. yeh... happens when you're wearing a pickaxe too, even thought you don't need one to mine sulphur... i hate it when you break something you're not even using!
  20. Scavaging

    There ARE ethical scavengers out there.... I rarely walk past a bag without checking it... BUT If it's obviously someone else's stuff (armour/weaps/essences, etc), then I will bag-sit for upto 20 minutes waiting for that person to come back. This allows them enough time to lose connection, need to reboot, travel across the lands, say hi to friends, and all the other little things the delay the trip back from the underworld. I'd hate to lose MY stuff so would not dream of keeping someone else's - and if I can help them keep their stuff by bag-sitting for them, then all the better It's made me a few friends along the way, and people trust me more, knowing that I would never keep their hard-earned stuff But collecting all the bones and meat and other occasional goodies that I find in bags helps out others too... All those summoners, potion makers, and other types in my guild have been helped from my 'collection service' Ethical scavenging IS possible... It depends on the person who's doing it!

    I already use MyMouse... I use a mouse too much and don't want RSI coming back (again!!!), and having my wrist strapped for another 3 months!
  22. New Manufacturing System

    It would be really nice to be able to repair weapons/armour, and to smelt them down into bars again... Harvesting can be so exceptionally boring, and takes even MORE time now with the constant teleporting. The ability to repair/smelt at higher levels of manu would be so much more helpful - especially as Tankel is so rubbish at repairing Also repairing and smelting could give a very small amount of XP, compared to the larger gain for originally making items. If the forges are to be implemented, it would be helpful if there were quite a few of them, as they would become overly populated and too laggy otherwise? Personally, I'm not fond of the idea of needing 2 people to make one item - this means that the more solitary players would be unable to manufacture items, for lack of available partner. The idea of long-time-to-manufacture items giving more XP is great, as long as any disconnection just stops manufacture at the point reached, and doesn't need the item restarting over from scratch - a little bit like how books work, perhaps?

    Did you read the fact that he *died*? Sorry I can't help you Horth, but I recommend you put some of those gold coins in Storage next time, along with anything else that you can't afford to lose!
