  1. make mules able to harvest

    How about changing the main idea of a mule... like it would cost quite a lot more and instead of shapeshifting into it, you would buy it like a horse with similar limitations. Then you could use it as a carrier for loads of your goods and still would be able to harvest, etc ... it would follow you like the chest from DiscWorld ;-)
  2. Well it's not as stupid, cause if you take some D&D clone, that's where the idea is from. Anyway, it shouldn't be like any successful hit would give you the penalty, just there should be a chance like getting poisoned or similar. Also I'm for the idea of having a special potion to cure each one the penalties ... but I wouldn't definitely make it a standart one Also there might be some items to compensate the loss for the time being (amulets, etc.) as proposed in a nearby topic.
  3. Maybe a nice addition, that would make the fights,invasions much more interesting (and harder) would be if some monsters/special items could cause a penalty to some attributes when hit. This penalty would be permanent, unless the player pays a price relative to the amount of penalty he received at a special NPC (Healer,Cleric). Also new items,stones,spells (or magic resistance can be used),etc might be implemented, so the player might reduce or completely avoid the penalty when being hit.

    I think I understand why it was rejected before. It might be a part of a complex plan how to lower the amount of AFK players in the game, something like Leonard.
  5. Quests - using instantiated dungeons

    Well, I actually searched the forum, so I've found out about the similar ideas. I was just wondering if something might have changed since the new feature of "instaces" is in ... I suppose if the support for this feature is in, the next step might be to use it for the quests generating, hence solving the well discussed problem "What if I'd go into a dungeon while doing a quest to kill a monster and some high OA player does it instead thus not allowing me to complete it ?" So all I wanted was just raise the topic once again since the circumstances have changed a little.
  6. It's been quite a time since I started playing EL and it seems it's more oriented to players that play EL for a long time instead of trying to get new souls to this virtual world. One of the things that might help make the game much more interesting and appealing for newcomers used to WoW,Eve,UO would be to implement a quest creating framework. Here's the idea: QUESTS -each quest would have a story and a specific goal (clear the sewers from monsters, retrieve some artifact, etc.) and a prize for its completion -each quest would have some maximum attributes defined so noone with higher capabilities would be able to join for the quest (although some automatic difficulty customization based on the lvl of the person would be more useful) -every quest would use its own dungeon or map which would be an independent instance for every player or group of players assigned to the specific quest TIPS -create a easy2write interpreted language to define the quests (XML), so it's easy for people to create new quests, thus pottentialy making it avaliable for bots -assign someone to create a more complex story using the framework making it more appealing for new people -allow the use of giving EXP bonuses, GC, etc. for completing the quests (motivation for people to do them thus emerge deeper into the game) -potentialy allow quests to be hosted on different servers once approved by Radu or someone in charge (would allow guilds,etc. to create their special quests,trials,etc. and would save the official servers bandwidth)
  7. Hatred - PVP misleads

    Hatred (very probable after restart) encourages other players to go to PVP with him. Since he has p/c 18/10 and a/d 32/26 he might look like a match for you. He sets the rules of no summonig, harm,... and then tries to convince you to get your best things (no rosto since he promises to give you your things back) and then scares you by all other pvp arenas (saying they're very dangerous) to get you into TG Magic School. There he fights you as you would expect and if you become strong opponent (and have good items on you) he summons 3-4 white tigers. Supposehe would then keep the DB (I had a rosto just in case, but since he didn't talk to me after killing me opposing his rules, suppose he would keep them).
