And no I wont say who cuz that person already killed me in pk once I have over 250mb of chat logs(not counting the ones i've lost). Offhand I really don't know what's causing this: I have a few suggestions that may or may not help - Try disabling the autoupdate in your el.ini file which is located in your eternal lands installation folder. most likely that would be c:/program files/eternal lands/ Set #autoupdate = 1 to #autoupdate = 0 Failing that, you can use elconfig.exe to disable some of the graphics, or if you know how edit the lines in your el.ini regarding graphics. It's also possible that you have a corrupted file, possibly a bad 3dobject or other file. Reinstalling the game from a fresh download might fix that. Or as a first step you can try running a check disk. Start menu > run > chkdsk c: /f > y > restart computer to run the check disk.

If you are running a fairly new computer (a couple or few years) you can use msinfo32 to get this information. It is possible that you are attempting to play Eternal Lands from an IP that was banned for another reason. If you've read the rules and have not violated them, please consult the whitelist thread. edit: Admin was able to confirm that your problems were due to a ban because somebody else was causing a lot of trouble. I apologize for the inconvenience to you and hope that you return to Eternal Lands.

I don't personally have logs stating that your ip was banned. Due to the troubles recently with players selling characters for scamming purposes, your character will not be returned. You can start over with the caveat that you have received your warnings and will be permanently banned should you cause further trouble. If your ip definitively is banned, please reply here and we can research the circumstances of the IP ban.

You password WAS given out publicly in channel causing obvious issues. Further, you were using an illegal client. Two such major infractions are very serious. I would not expect to get the character back.

Posting fixes is a nice thing to do since it allows others with the problem to fix it as well.

Seems to have been introduced in 1.3.0 When using the chat commands #lc and #jc in console, the console does not redraw the old chat in the new active channel. For instance #lc 4 should make another channel my active channel. ONLY new chat in my current active channel shows up with white [name]: and old chat in that channel remains grayed. Ditto for #jc x. Confirmed as still happening in the 1.3.1p2 beta edit oh, also clicking the chat tabs will force the redraw but that's a dirty way to do it

The entire tutorial npc script should be examined. It also is still referencing the old book icon for the encyclopedia. And there are likely other errata as well.
