  1. Lifelink

Scenario: Linked man goes to CC. Linked man mines full load of iron/sulfur/quartz etc. Linked man's link partner stands near DP storage. Linked man types #link Linked man repeats and repeats and repeats. This ties in with the #mark and the teleport to mark commands. Don't take this as anything other than constructive critiscizm; you should think about all aspects of the game and all the ways that they would be affected before typing it. I do, however, like the idea of having a link. Friendship, marriage and other social labels could be known to you and maybe others if a #info_(name) command was put in. It's past my bed time , ~S
  2. Fable

Unless Big Blue Box is contemplating a pc mmorpg of this game with more weapons, armor, clothing, hairstyles, tattoos, monsters and quests, do not waste your time. I spent over a year drooling on my keyboard looking at screenshots of bandit-bashing and spell-casting. Some peole have Playboys underneath their beds, I had the Game Informer with the Fable cover. The game sucked with the intensity of one million tornadoes. The maps were tiny and had only paths with the occasional "free-roam" chunk of land. The weapons are not gradually obtained with your levels, the choice of weapons was very limited and anything other than the standard hack n' slash hero was hard as hell to raise levels with. Being evil was an extreme disappointment. Once all the quests are complete there is nothing to do. The magic, inventory and general menus agitated me to no end as they were cartoony and totally out of place. Gestures, well, they were just stupid. The quick use menus were horrible to set up if you were trying to make them useful. More to rant about but Adult Swim is on. Just thought I would warn all of you. Don't waste your time or money. I beat the game in one 24-hour span. NOT WORTH IT. Sorry for the caps, ~S
  3. Ttfn

Needless to say you will be missed. Best of luck, ~S
  4. Cape Alternatives

I guess I thought that they could be more available to people who cannot fight high level monsters or raise large amounts of money. But I guess that would take away from the game, make it too easy. I'f you think different perks should be applied to these medallions I would like to hear some ideas. Maybe No more tears and Artificer could be used. Good Night, ~S
  5. Cape Alternatives

Hey all, My computer has a virus ( )so I havn't been on the forums much lately. To answer some of the questions; The amulets would be very hard to craft and might even require an enriched essense or something rare to that effect. They could not be used with a perk/cape/cloak (conjurer cape/amulet is 1/4 summoning cost) and amplify the effect. These items would be a rare drop by Chimerans only, if anything. I doubt fighters could become rich by this seeing as how it takes alot to kill chimerans and the drop would be rare, not to mention if one of these was found it would most likely be used by the fighter who found it. Thanks for your thoughts, ~S
  6. How To Change Appearance

I agree with Badwog. I do love rpg's with tons of looks and clothing/ armor types I think it should be strictly medevil. Nothing stupid *cough*partyhats*cough*. Also if there is time (yeah right) some new basic clothing colors would be good at the starting character creation screen. White boots would be nice, a bit dirty after a while... but nice none the less. Tunics, vests, glove variations (to be used with weapons), and boots that could all be worn with armor with little or no combat advantage. I also really like the hair dye suggestion. I have a few formulas that could be used to create dyes like this. Cheers, ~S (p.s. No cosmetic surgery. Grrrr. )
  7. I don't know if anyone has thought of this before but could there possibly be an alternative to some cloaks? Gold medallions are only used for sun med's atm right? So then why not create medallions with emeralds rubies diamonds and sapphires? Also Silver medallions could be used with diamonds and emeralds. Off the top of my head I would say it could go something like this: Silver Med/sapphire = Powersaving cloak. Silver Med/emerald = ??? Silver Med/diamond = Fast Regeneration cape. Gold Med/ruby = Excavator cloak. Gold Med/sapphire = Conjurer cape. Gold Med/emerald = Monster Magnetism cloak. Silver Med/serpent stone = Mirror cloak/ Body Piercing cloak Gold Med/serpent stone = Mirror cloak/ Body Piercing Cloak (I havn't decided which would be which, they wouldn't have both perks. And I have a few names for them but I will only share them if someone likes the idea.) Lots more suggestions in this head o' mine, so let me know if you like any of them. I love comments, ~S
  8. Mass Battle System

World of Warcraft is similair to what I think you are getting at. Players choose opposing sides? I think a common enemy would be a better idea, like random threats popping up to attack people with an oa over, say, 20. Good Night, ~S
  9. If someone were to spend all day bent over in Mynadar picking mass quantities of the sweet red roses and snapdragons, why should they not be tanned? Or if they were to improson themsleves in the the cold damp bowels of the Crystal Caves to mine the heavy ores it harbors, (for days on end) why should they not be ghoulishly pale? Some Eternal lands players *cough* hops *cough* spend the majority of thier time with a hammer in one hand and a piece of raw metal in the other, skilfully pummeling thier metal into an image of sleek perfection. I think these people should look muscular and broad-shouldered. If a trade has it's prerequisites why would it not also have it's small imprints? This would encourage more people to choose a trade and then stick with it. To see the warrior, alchemist, necromancer, battle-mage, blacksmith, farmer, cleric, battlemage, paladin, rogue, bowman, dragoon, or sorcerer in the heart of each and every EL player manifest itself would give me inspiration to keep mindlessly bashing goblins or making essences. Whatever you choose should then choose you. Certain attributes could be obtained that only a trade could produce. Shamanistic tattos could be seen on your head and hands if you chose to lead the life of a summoner. I'm sure if enough thought was applied to the topic, everyone could think of something appealing not yet in the game. *Rambling ends* I'm looking forward to constructive critiscism but be gentle... Cheers, ~S (p.s. Fable comes out in 4 days so maybe this has been a tad bit inspired by that. Although the idea could be crafted to be original. )
  10. Resources..

I know you have alot of experience on me, but I think that the leveling process should become easier if anything. A member of my guild left the game, possibly for good, becuase of the simple fat that the game is task-driven and not as enjoyable as it could be. He was right. Before you try to tell me that no one is making me play this game or something to that effect, listen to what I am saying and think about it. In order to make a level in say manufacturing (one of the harder skills to level in) you need to gather flowers for essences, ore for bars and then have the chance of failure thrown into the mix. Once a certain level is reached you need to exhert insane amounts of effort just to advance one level. And it only get's harder. Is it that you have regained some of your stats and are somewhat content you want to give the rest of us a harder time to do so? I'm not accusing you but that would be the only reason I could think of for such a suggestion. Oh well, ~S
  11. Bone Weapons!

Why apply badass weaponry and armor and then give it crappy stats, if you want some noob armor then you should go get leather; Better yet, make some sort of leaf-armor. Bone weapons such as the bone-xbow in Microsoft's "Dungeon Siege Legends of Aranna" ar not some weapon you tote around because it has simple stats, its because it looks BADASS. (exscuse the caps) If anyone with the power to implement these weapons is thinking of doing so, please don't just create them for noobs, make them upgradable or something or various types. Bone shoes = teh n00bz Bone boots = teh r0x0rz Bone vest = bunny gaurd Bone chain/plate = monster-bashing, license to kill, bloodstained, awe-inspiring, dark fear-striking, piece of equipment. I have more ideas and comparing examples if anyone is interested. Love the idea GGM, ~S
  12. bush's plunders

This was so good I had to bring the topic up again. http://www.plattbridger.myby.co.uk/bushisms.htm Cheers, ~S
  13. Reasoning Potions

I make and sell reasoning potions on and off. Currently I have 350+ so pm me in game. They sell fast. Great for researching long books such as titanium mining, smelting, potion of summoning, etc. Also increases exp gain. Cheers, ~S
  14. Musings About The Future Of El

Lyanna, To answer your question, money. Money is the reason (at least this is how it has struck me) Entropy would like to see more players in the game after all the bugs have been worked out and the game is, for lack of a better word(s) o_O?, self-sufficient. In order to make all available upgrades this game requires funding that a small group cannot supply. Even with p2p there would still be a smaller profit with JUST the amount of players now as opposed to the thousands of players that could be playing. Right now I feel that everyone shares my view on the game, or at least everyone who has come to love it as much as I have. This game is made for me. I have a voice that is listened to and it has an influence in the game in one aspect or another. Every update is the creation of this quarky democracy, only with Entropy making the final decision. Adding masses to this tight community and pressure-free gaming experience would rape it of its personality. That decision alone would define his character in my book. I'm sure there is an alternative to the option I just can't seem to come up with it. Although I know you and alot of other people are concerned about it, myself included, I don't think that should stop you from enjoying the game while it is here and just how you like it. Exscuse me for being melodramatic. This might be the most interesting post I have ever stumbled upon. Looking forward to reading more thoughts, ~S
