  1. Sound FX bug reports

Hear water walking sound while crossing a bridge or somewhere else you shouldn't? Then please post here with the map you are in and the COORDINATES! *Please do NOT report any water walking sounds that are on shorelines right next to water-this is sort of a bug that will not be fixed.

  5. Idle Animations

I think it would be nice to make some various standing idle animations so people don't look so stiff all the time. This would be a client side only thing, because it's not such a big deal that it needs to go through the server. How it can work: - ~10 different idle animations, just subtle variations, nothing major. - Client will randomly choose to play 1 for a random length of time inside minimum & max time values(like it should complete at least X amount of loops of an animation before switching to another, and we don't want 1 going infinitely) - Client needs to smoothly blend between the animations(I think Cal3d can do this, if not this might be a problem...) - Client needs to smoothly blend into the next action(walking, sitting, into fight) if possible. Or first change into the default idle pose then go into the other animation. So if anyone can program this, please let me know..and of course i'll work on the idle animations and send them to you
  6. Morcraven Marsh

You're probably using the maps from the UPDATE on the main server. So yeah, they will be out of sync and you'll get issues like that.
  7. [patch] Ranging window

That looks nice! Any reason not to include it in the statistics window?
  8. NPC Portraits

I'm restarting the NPC portrait thread(old one here). Basically, you submit a photo of yourself, and I'll draw/paint it and we will add it as an in game npc portrait! Requirements: -Send a photo of yourself-must be the real you!-to my email address: elartwork (at) gmail.com OR post it in this thread OR you can send me a forum pm with a link to it. -Photo must be frontal or 3/4 view. -Photo should be a decent size and relatively clean/clear, but I can possibly work with crappier photos so if you're interested just send it anyway, I'll let you know if it's not useable. I won't share your photo or tell anyone it's you if you want to keep it private. You do not get to choose which NPC or race/colors you become, we pick that out based on need. Any questions just ask
  9. Actor def additions

Currently the leg and foot are part of the same mesh for the character models, meaning we can't have different boots or feet mesh changes-only texture. Is it possible to add in the code a separate mesh parameter for the boots? So then we'll be able to add the meshes into the actor def files. I tried it just for the hell of it-made the meshes separate and updated the actor defs-but the client crashes when trying to load the actor defs so looks like it needs a code change! If it helps at all, the crash message said: Assertion failed! File: io/elfilewrapper.cpp Line: 262 Expression: self And I can email you the modified actor defs and test meshes if needed too.
  10. Custom Clothing

Ok I'm making a small poll here in having an official Custom Clothing service, and how you'd like it to work if so. I'm not saying we're definitely going to do this, it's just to see if there's any interest. You would have to pay to have your stuff uploaded, no idea on the price atm-suggestions are fine. The custom graphics would all have to be approved as well.
  11. The options window is really cluttered and it's so hard to find a lot of stuff in it. So I think it'd be a good idea to move some stuff around and do some clean up in there. Please post all your suggestions for making this window more intuitive and user friendly. Here's the start of my suggestions: -Under MISC, move: the 4 AFK functions > chat tab Global ignores, save ignores, global filter, caps filter > chat tab Language, Browser, Save ini, Log Buddy(put this one directly under the log messagers part) Data Dir. > Server tab -Possibly rename server tab? -Quickbar slots, windows on top, map boundaries > HUD tab -*Make a "Quick Fixes" tab(better name suggestions?) for all the common problems newbies experience. No one knows if your screen is all white to turn the shadows off, etc... Instead let's put detailed instructions of common problems worded very user friendly. Also, is it possible to make the tabs scrollable? Some of the tabs will get kinda long.
  12. Thank you so much bluap, it looks great!! So nice and small and organized now! Would you be able to make just a couple more changes? Troubleshoot tab- -The tips for mouse bug, I think this is refering to ATI bug? If so move it so it's directly under ATI bug. -Can a more thorough description be made for new selection? Like when to disable/enable it, the way the other descriptions are. Camera tab -Can Maximum camera zoom out be moved underneat max. reflection distance? -And how about we move the 4 toggle options of Follow camera to Auto zoom underneath Use Isometric view. That way all those lesser used fine tuning options are grouped together. GFX tab -Can we move the Anti Aliasing options into the video tab? Can be below Disable Gamma Adjustment. Ok I think that's all for now
  13. Ok thanks for the status update! If I can help in any way let me know

  15. Custom Clothing

lol..ok... Every game has their own style, I decided not to join the bandwagon of stereotypical completely unrealistic armor, etc. Why not? Because I always thought that was stupid, I didn't like it, and I prefer more realism. You won't get anywhere arguing it, it won't change for official items. End of discussion Well 31 votes to wanting everything customizable And 38 votes to just certain items or capes/shields... I will tell you i'm on the 38 vote side so we'll start there if we make it official. I never wanted any official stuff to be obscured, so..people will have a choice. Anything goes-->unofficial. Nicer looking and unobscured official items-->official server. That won't change.

Ok go ahead try with another address now.

Tsmith-you're approved. Kananga, I resent you a validation email, see if you got it now.
  18. Custom Clothing

It'd still work the way the unofficial server does as in, if you want your own custom cloak you gotta find or pay someone to make it for you. So there's your commission And the unofficial servers will always remain as long as people have them up so...it's always an option to stay with.
  19. NPC Portraits

Yes getting lots of them, thank you guys for participating! I'm doing them in the order they're received so, it may be a couple weeks before I get to yours
  20. Forum validation requests

    you're activated.
  21. Yes of course that's ok, thank you so much! Just let me know whenever you commit the changes and I'll test things out
  22. Custom Clothing

You can still use the Unofficial server. You can switch between the 2 whenever. However you won't see them both at the same time. If you want your stuff on the Official server you'd have to get it approved and pay for it separately. Yes it would be a rl$ fee, as it takes time to get the file from you, approve it, upload it to the server, do the functions to "turn it on", make sure everything works ok, not to mention it's a resource on the server and the server costs $$ every month.
  23. "Free" Tepeport in Iscalrith

Please post coordinates! Screenshots are nice but not necessary. Without coordinates, it can be hard to find the place.
