Cruella, I did not miss your point. I'm saying that your point is not feasible. I have timed the walks to get the ingredients repeatedly: MM storage to Kelcha and back to MM storage takes 2:40 minutes. PL storage to Lenard and back to PL storage takes 45 seconds. Irsis storage to Derzelas and back to Irsis storage takes 1:30 minutes. I've also calculated the time to walk to and from Trik to VotD storage as 2 minutes and the walk to the school as 0. Taking these times into my calculations, I have figured out in order to make using the school more effective than hauling double the ingredients and using Trik, I need to be able to make 12.9kgc an hour or more in raw profit. I have not found a way to do that, if anyone knows, sharing the information is more than appreciated... With 800 EMU, in order to get 100k manufacture experience (not using rationality or god in this example). Trik Helms: 2232 GC lost: 7411 Total XP: 100461 Time required: 144 mins School Helms: 1157 GC lost: 27002 Total XP: 104210 Time required: 56 mins Note, the total experience between the two is different because they are being calculated as finishing full loads, rather than getting to 100k and just stopping. Going to Trik takes 88 minutes more, yet saves 19591gc. Which means 13358gc per an hour must be made if, in the long term, using the school is better manufacture experience. While I was thinking about this, it seems that, anyone with 380 EMU or less, may be better off using the school in Willowvine providing they can make roughly 8kgc an hour. The gc per an hour is realistic, but I'm not sure whether it is or not for the EMU given. Hrmm... EDIT: removed some irrelevant information.

You won't save time leveling manu in this way because you have to spend more of your time making money, than you would using Trik. In one load, yes, the school is better, but accumulatively, as for actual dedicated training of manufacture, Trik will save you more time leveling manu, because your money goes a lot further over the total time working on manufacture when you consider how long it takes to make the gold coins as well. As I showed in my first post, you get more than double the exp.

Yes, we could give usl's idea a try. Better yet, we could give the_piper's idea a try. usl's idea will effect more than just the harvest items. It also stand to affect: creature training areas (for example; the skeletons in pl titanium mine or goblins and orcs in votd gold mine) bots which are located in caves will be cut off walkways between maps will be shut off Therefore, maps to be used in this idea would have to be chosen selectively, thus not having the full effect. Rather than making 3-4 different copies of the one map for the "seasons" we're not doing, would having 3-4 different sets of harvest items on the server be another option, sending harvestable ID and co-ords for a region of a map?

Wow, this is a really great idea. It will help map "popularity" be balanced out and players to explore more. I can never see anyone so desperate for iron ore they pay 10gc each rather than move to another iron deposit.Despite what other people have said, I don't think the market prices will change too much because for most resources there is more than one place that is good to harvest (mainly found by people trying to stay on the continent they're on)- only differing a few seconds in the walk to storage OR I'm sure players could find something else to do for a while (finding other things to do for a week is a long ask, but oh well). It would be great if this idea affected outdoors resources too. Which is where I prefer the original concept over usl's. I imagine, some places would have to be unaffected by this idea otherwise newbies will get bored due to having no where else to go and nothing else to do due to low levels; unreached ignore levels, sulfur needed to level alchemy, the need to make money. Can I has a c00kie? Just joking. This will be great EDIT: just a thought, what about bots in caves? Under usl's idea, will bot owner's be annoyed by no one being able to buy to/sell to their bot, because it's locked in a cave?

Yeah, fuck those who work at it, and fuck their hosting fees and time spent and so on. C'mon, Ent, don't hold back, tell us how you REALLY feel! :-) I appreciate the work, thanks, even if I don't pay. I'm not a PKer, and doubt I ever will be. I can't imagine playing EL with only 30 ppl online, it would be so lonely. So, yeah, if you can find any way to get more players on, DO IT! Settle down there. It wasn't a personal attack... I've heard that some people develop game because they actually like doing it. It's not "F*** You", it's "There's a lot of other things I could spend my money on" perspective.

Haha, That's the best one so far.... even if it is a little morbid. I've been told of a few dreams in game from friends which are also quite good. I hope they post them Personally, I have had many EL dreams (I'm not sure whether I should admit that) and most of which end in the same way - Acelon gives me chocolate cake, then Radu gets jealous because he didn't get any cake. Thus, killing me. Once with a titanium axe, one with poison and another time I knew he wanted to kill me so I squashed him, and then he turned into a plague of rats and ate me(shapeshift for the win!). It doesn't matter how the dream starts, it always ends with me being killed in a rather bizarre way due to lack of chocolate cake. Quite entertaining. w00ts for your thread Nintenduh, you lot made me laugh

It is one exp bar for each creature, correct? So the success rate of using a token is assisted by the creature's level for that specific token? Or will there be an overall shapeshifting level for main character for token's success rate, than creatures done completely separately? EDIT: also secondly - For example: If a mule's duty is purely to carry, how do it gain exp? And increase in mule level will increase emu and drop a/d penalty at a set rate?

Wow, that's lovely. I think the reason behind it may be previous references during invasions such as "It's only a little dragon" or "Giants aren't that strong" that leaves people wondering whether `weak' is truly weak. You never know. Besides there was plenty to go 'round.

I really like the idea, however I'm a little skeptical as to why all the new ideas lately have been hight PP costing perks (MC, Mage, class shifter). If the stones are ~10kgc a shot, then pushing 10+ pick point on it too seems a heavy price. It might just be me, but either the PP or stone cost should be lowered, With the lowering of a/d perhaps this could be used in much the same way as 'negative' True Sight effect when training?
