We tried it, it cant catch dis (bc he can just press shortcuts), but enemy lag out to hell, so it works well lol, you were around before cooldown? Ofcourse it works if you know how, you just didnt work out yet? ;/

stones? Take ingreds for rabbits/beavers/rats, all they're for is to catch the dis, not actually fight.

take friends/summons with you to catch the diss, even low levels can help this way. learn to pk

Change it so pots restore a % of your overall max hp/mana. Will mean that there is added advantage to having large mana/health, and pots will be used more

Well in most forum votes the votes are only accepted if accompanied by a post, otherwise any randomer who has no interest or knowledge in the topic at hand can vote and mess up the result

Expensive rosts, few update and no cooldown - best for pk Would be nice to have some update but not in tune with the main server, however I'd rather have none at all than what might go onto the main server.

Not a very good idea IMO, it is beneficial to have people with a fresh and open mind who have just come to the game think about new ideas and post them. Sure, 90% of it might be silly, but the rest can be very good. If you spend time with children IRL you will see that even though most of what they say about life or most topics is rather silly, they will occasionally come out with something very profound or a viewpoint which you yourself would never have considered. -

It is not purely the level differences that has killed PK, so changing that one this will have no positive effect and quite possibly a negative one. The whole myriad of causes need to be looked at if PK is going to be brought back to what it once was. The PK server is a much, much better suggestion that yours which will 1) Increase money flow into the game 2) Bring back many older players who have got pretty bored and left, like me 3) Revive the PK system in the game and make it fun again -

I disagree that any ~130+ a/d'er should be able to "one hit" any 70+ a/d'er. It might be "fun", but it's BS. As a very high ranked, long time a/d trainer pointed out in another thread, the EL combat system has fundamental problems. In my opinion the "one hitter" is one of those problems. Now, rather than asking for an entire rework of the combat system, for what i believe it needs, ie. exp based on fights not hits/dodges (bring weapons to training), the removal of the might cross attribute from the coordination attribute, the weakening of dexterity and reaction and the strengthening of attack and defense, etc.... a much quicker "for now" solution for us feros/fluffy trainers is a 100 a/d arena. edit: Dont get me wrong, Deified, I think that people with very high a/d should be rewarded... you'll noticed that i proposed strengthening attack and defense above... those people should be able to get every hit in on lower a/d'ers and dodge most of their hits... but "one hit" them? no way. Go and play another game then? The basic combat system is fine, if different from other games, and always has been. And in almost every other game out there someone who has 2x the level of someone else can and should be able to one hit them. In EL due to attributes and items this is not the case, so I don't quite understand your arguement, any player who knows how to spend PPs and use items can never be killed in one hit. Oh and incase you didn't quite get it my point of high levels being able to one hit lowers was merely a generalization and example of the fact that high leveled players should be able to easily own people who are lower, they earned it through hard work and dedication. -

One problem with all these level limit arenas is that the people with high levels worked for them to be able to use them. It is fun to be able to kill others in 1 hit once in a while, means the other people will be given motivation to train. In a server with no cap and lots of people with different levels arenas just serve to segregate the community. No-one who has posted in this thread that I have seen (only skimmed through) was around in the old days, when everyone was in KF, high lvls, low lvls, didn't matter. This idea will mean that the low levels will hardly ever go to any PK area other than the one that suits them, abit stupid if you ask me. If you want to have fights against people your own level ask them for it, or arrange a tournament. I see no need for any more level limited arenas. -

It wasn't just rosts as such that ruined PK, it was many factors such as that a few people became *so* much stronger than everyone else (level limit really was needed much earlier, 100-120 or so), and the community that revolved around PK left. We always used to spend hours in KF chatting, fighting, pvp, whatever, just having fun. Everyone was also around the same strength. I mean, sure, some were stronger, but they could still be brought down by numbers. These days people have such silly p/c a/d that you need to use all the new items. PK was better and more fun when it was simpler, you whacked on your tit plate/leathers, grabbed lots of dis/sr/he and went to fight until you died. The lack of cooldown on dis also meant there was a completely different angle on strategy than there is there days, you would need to be able to dis at the right time, catch other people's dis etc. These days fights are also often about endurance, who has more EMU can generally last longer and therefore make their opponent dis/die. Back when SRs were not stackable everyone had generally the same amount of survivability. The addition of Helm's of Life meant that people had bigger HP, could last longer due to fewer restore and could also normally manage to dis and get out before they died. When people had less HP it took only 4-5 hits to kill someone if they didn't restore, which meant if you timed if wrong and ran out of SR's you were pretty much buggered. All these things meant PK was more fun, a place to go and relax, dieing didn't matter so much, what you dropped was stuff you had got off other people and wasn't worth much anyway. The people you died to were generally your friends, at the very least enemies you loved to hate.

BRILLIANT IDEA! Also you only get alch/craft/manu etc exp in PK maps, this way PK will be much more crowded and we can all get drops! Why not go the whole hog, take out all maps except PK! rofl
