  1. One thing that also should be taken into consideration is the cost. To surive you still need to buy the expensive armors and most summoners need also be a fighter to, forcing them to also buy the expensive swords. On top of that, you pay a lot of GC for enriched essences and the fact of the matter is, you can watch your gold go right down the toilet and for what, perhaps killing a player in a map that has no drops?

The fix for this is to decrease the requirements to summon (8 chims? 8 LE and some furs?) And decrease the strength of the summons OR/AND have their strength more dependant on the summoner's level and perhaps even attributes.

The fact of the matter is you spend a lot of time on the skill whilst leveling it, why should you in turn have to pay more GC for your time?

  2. What Aislinn said :( The idea is somewhat interesting despite it's former appearance in the children's game (I will elaborate in a moment) that has become quite popular over the years. But the fact is, Entropy has continued to push the proverbial skill further into the grotto containing all of EL's other "I think X is a good idea because.." proposals go.

Here is said "children's game" Info

I see your stats are not to high in EL, perhaps it wouldn't be to late to start? :devlish:

  3. im here to ask when my bann will be lifted.im not trying to be aggravating i'm just wanting to play on my DrtyDevil char again

I have a feeling that radu will not unlock you until you either:

    1) Do what ever it takes to obtain images/screen shots of improved models and post them OR;

    2) (if you were lying...) Admit you were lying, explain EXACTLY what it was you wanted him to download, answer Ent and Aislin's posts EXACTLY (don't beat around the bush) and then let him decide on your outcome...

Sorry for the third party post Ent and Aislinn, but I know this kid and want to make sure he understands his dilemma. Delete as necessary

  4. #1 ignore koddy his reference to this matter is irrelevant

    fixed ur typos :P

  5. Basically if you don`t be cautious in real life or here, which is also kinda a virtual life, you pay for it.

Whether irl or in el, you can never be risk free, and the consequences of too much caution are arguably as bad as too little prudence. Hence, there's no safe hiding place.

However, the thing that makes mmorgs so fascinating and (at least imho) attractive, is the opportunity to interact with other ppl. Whether its trading, guilds, pk or whatever, any interaction with others will carry a risk and, if you expose yourself to that risk often enough, there's a statistical probability that eventually you'll get stung.

In weighing up whether that risk is worthwhile, it's necessary to consider the extent to which the benefits of trusting ppl outweigh the cost. Personally, i'm on the side of trusting others, as the value of the friendships, allegiances, assistance and other benefits far outweigh those times when i've been let down.

Nonetheless, it never fails too amaze me how some ppl are willing to sacrifice their reputation, respect and the trust of other players simply for a few gc, let alone those guilds who knowingly take such ppl in. So whether its pulling sophisticated and cynical confidence tricks with instances, or simply stealing from a guild bot, I think there's a good reason to alert others to who they are and exactly what they have done.

    Bright lad indeed

Just use common sense and always remember, it is a game, no need to panic :>

  6. nice idea ,

well other mmorpg / rpg giving xp for just exploring the map :fire:

so how about such a quest just giving OA xp ?

or even better, a quest that gives you a plus on attribute,

so if you fulfill 10 quests you get reasoning or instinct plus 1 ?

This def wont happen considering the cost of a PP is about 1 mill gc :doze:

  7. I would like to propose several additions to the PK central system. I think these changes would increase awareness of PK and what goes on, and also just make this more interesting. Perhaps even create a little incentive to PK...Anyway here they are.

    1) Keep record of kills by player.

    2) Keep record of kills by guild (of present obviously)

    3) Create a command to view the records.

The records could be auto deleted after 2 months or something. This would prevent abuse. There could even be an achievement posted for guild/pker of the month. Again creating incentive. Could spark up guild pking vs "single player pking" ...Just my 2 cents.

  8. Those that killed Scotty would have even more of a chance of getting continuously killed like that.

Can't beam in KF so doesn't make a difference really.

Like the idea but like nathan said, it has room for error. The idea of a potion or stone that allows this feature to work would be pretty awesome though

  9. Ent's idea sounds the most apealing due to the type of game. Player can go kill each other in KF now as it is. But a capture the flag / fort / LMS would more fun for everyone, especially those who normally do not PK "free style"

    .

  10. The only thing unclear to me is step 3. How do you plan to make the teams, tell the NPC which team you want to fight, have all the members in each team agree, etc, etc. This has to be done in a way that:

    a. Will prevent cheating.

    b. Will prevent congestions (if 4 teams go at the NPC at the same time)

    c. Will prevent griefing (purposefully trying to join a team or get in the way, even though the other team members don't want that)

So tell me exactly how you would want that done.

Simplest way I can think of would be to use two guilds as the teams and have bots run the joining/leaving of teams.

It could go simply like this.

    1) When a match wants to start, a player will PM the bot and request to start a match (/redbot start match) and that player will be the "leader" of that team and the bot will automatically except him into the guild (RED)

    2) Other players can then join the round by asking the same bot (/redbot join me) untill the roster is full.

    3) After both teams have done this, the bots will announce that teams are full. Players can then PM the bot and get a list of all the players on each team. (/redbot list team)

    4) When everybody likes the way it is setup, all players tell the game they are ready (/redbot ready) and when players have all agreed round starts!

    6) Round is over, the bots kick all the members.

You could have the "team leaders" have their vote count for an extra "ready" or set special privs etc. Simplest way I can think of.

FWIW A simple way to do a random queue would be

    1) All players PM a single bot (/pkinstance joinme)

    2) Once the bot has a full roster, it will randomly pm the different people and tell them whether to join RED or BLUE.

    3) After players have joined, they can figure out how fair the teams look by again using the /redbot list team command.

    4) When everybody likes the way it is setup, all players tell the game they are ready (/redbot ready) and when players have all agreed round starts!

    6) Round is over, the bots kick all the members.
