Congratulations! However, I'm not trusting counters. According to my counter I PKed someone while in VOTD. Didn't realize it until he pmed me to ask if he showed up in my kills because he saw my name in his deaths. Since I hadn't been on a PK maps, I assume it was just a counter bug. Two Sundays ago my counters ceased to work at all. I would post this in the bug reports, but there is so much going on during an invasion, who has time to sit around cataloguing bugs? Not to diminish your accomplishment! Nice job!

Voted YES. I do agree that items that serve an ingame purpose should be degradable. (Vanity items like tiaras don't serve any purpose and are an exception...whoops! Did I bring that up again? )

I've made my 30 leather pants and returned to Boastas to continue the Glilin quest, but he isn't giving me the next quest. I brought him 30 leather pants, he says they're of good quality and congratulates me, but he doesn't take them (as I assume he is supposed to). After I get my "congratulations, you are now a true servant" message, my rank stays at 0 and the "advance in my worship" dialogue continues to be about the pants. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

Interesting... the first time I went had left them in storage and it didn't work, so I almost replied that that wasn't it. I decided to go back today and try again to be sure, and it worked! Thank you!

Peino, I love it! The plot is well thought out and executed and the character development is fantastic. I particularly like Belece and Black Cap and was a little disappointed that Belece doesn't make another appearance in the end (but I'm hoping she's integral to future installments!). With Black Cap I just kept thinking "bought character-- has the skills, but doesn't even know how to heal his own summons" and was very gratified with his anticlimatical death. You asked for input, so here it is: 1. I'm still not completely satisfied with the "twice beyond the thrice white shore." I realize that you meant the three beaches, but to me it still reads as if it is one beach with three types of white: sand, snow, and ? (If Glacmor beaches are also covered in powdered sugar, someone has to tell me. I will be spending a lot more time there.) I think I would be happier if it read something along the lines of "twice beyond the terciary twice-white shore." 2. Enly's right. Ship names are in italics. (I found a couple other minor punctuation errors, so let me know if you want those too.) 3. Two female characters and they're both redheads? As a redhead myself (in RL, of course) I love that there aren't that many of us, so I wasn't happy to see that Meagg has auburn hair. I went ahead and imagined her with black hair. I agree with you about #1. The story provides enough character development for Peino that a lengthier history at the beginning might become tedious. The second point could be taken care of with a little more dialogue between the two characters rather than more exposition. I agree with Enly that their relationship is a little vague at times. I also agree that a little more explanation about why the pirates are so eager to follow Peino is necessary. I'm seeing perhaps a late night conversation with Meagg and the other pirates before Black Cap is drowned? Let me know when the next installment is ready! Edit: Sorry! Alright, this is a bit of a rant, but I'm very annoyed at the moment. I recently won $20 at the EL store at a raffle and chose to spend $15 on a silver tiara. Then a gob went and destroyed it. I realize it was a prize and I didn't spend any money on it, but that doesn't mean I didn't like it any less or that I'm any less annoyed at losing it. My point is this: vanity items such as tiaras, crowns, and adventurer's caps that require real $ should not be breakable, especially when fighting something that runs little to no risk of killing you. For that matter, they shouldn't even be able to be a db drop. They serve no ingame purpose and shouldn't be subject to the same rules as, say, if I had bought a weapon instead.

Training is not the same as painting. There is certainly a prestige to it. Most new players walk around looking for armor because it "looks cool" even though other players tell them it lessens the amoung of exp they get. Many top fighters pay real $ to for specialty characters or get smaller or bigger becuase they want to look intimidating or or make a point like "you got pwned by a little guy" or whatever. How is wanting to look like a pretty pretty princess while smacking gobs any different? Toomass doesn't get taller when he loses a fight. All of the examples of cloaks, crowns, weapons, etc... don't count in this case becuase they were more than likely purchased or made for practical purposes such as increasing life or whatever. They gave the player some advantage. Objects that don't provide any advantage should not be subject to the same game rules because they don't contribute to the gameplay. And yes, I do drive my very pretty sports car on dirt roads. And I wear makeup when I go to the store. And if someone ever buys me the pony I want, I'll wear a tiara while riding it. That's just how I roll.

What's the point of buying them if you can't wear them most of the time anyway? I didn't get it so it could sit around in storage and collect dust.

I'm a high school English teacher. Yes, I know I rarely capitalize anything and frequently abuse the comma splice, but you have to write for your audience, right? However, the words "a lot" are ALWAYS two words. Other than that, I promise to overlook everyone's syntactical and mechanical errors. Well, I might cringe a little at the whole "their, there, and they're" thing, but we can still be friends.
