  1. What do you do while you harvest?

lol deo. I hardly harvest but when i do, i watch tv or call friends on the phone. funny how 'afk training' is frowned upon but afk harvesting seems to be common practice
  2. Privacy

just give a player with less than 3 skills over 20 and OA below 40 (both random numbers) PK protection, and give them a screenwide pop up giving them a lecture about PK areas so that they're warned. This ofc would only be a one time thing, and #reset doesn't prolongue the immunity. As usual no clue on feasibility programming wise
  3. Expiring bots

tina was eviljoe's a long time ago. then she was Zia's, then mine, not sure who else had her but it seems that atm: [PM from Tina: [My bot owner(s) is(are) Annavie
  4. Are you a hardcore player ? :)

at most i would create a toon to never level for chats, but no way in hell would i do it all over again. Not that i regret playing the first time around, but i'd hate to repeat all that grinding Ive done, there's a reason i never made a proper alt succesfully.
  5. God Please Save PK - Fighters

Note: I do not have the slightest clue about the programming side of this, and whether it would even be possible. Just putting in my 2cents. Remove branch effect, and in compensation, instead of having armor degrade, then destroy, just make it gradually take damage so that it will pretty much always need repairs. In other games, each hit you take from an opponent will damage your armor, and each hit you deal will damage your weapon. In some of these games, once you get to 0 durability, you will have to 'fix' it using a special item. With the special quests in mind, you could even say: An armor will have 350/350 durability when totally repaired. You can repair it (maybe at a special NPC for this) for gc, or you can let it degrade, and once it gets below 50/350 durability, it automatically degrades into a 'used' version. You might allow people to reverse this and fix the gear by paying, i dont know, a binding stone, a bunch of bars and some leather or cloth or something. Or players could chose to just use it up even further for the quest's sake. No thoughts on what to do with the branch of destruction tho, i guess you could use it to stir soup, or, idk, morph it into some sort of new magical staff for mages, being an item required to cast certain new AOE spells like a nice group heal?
  6. 'i exploited it, i made my profit, now let's try get it nerfed for others'. I'm against removing pinning. Remember the OP is someone that actually spent months farming the Red Dragon, and was supplying part of the top A/Ders with them for a damn good profit for quite some time. Seen as pinning was already made impossible on the Mare Bulangiu ages ago, I highly doubt that pinning is considered a 'bug'. It's not broken, it does not need fixing.
  7. Any 100+ a/d gap?

Like it or not, these characters ARE remaining in game, and there's quite a few of them being actually played and not just being used to farm instance and PK. In addition, there are quite a few characters in the top 50 a/d that WERE leveled from scratch by 1 person, and in my opinion, that number may have been even bigger had there been more variety in mobs to train on. Whether you can sympathise or not (i know personally I'd go nuts after being at a spawn for longer than 1 hour), there's a big number of players that do enjoy the endless grind, they've always been in the game and they will always be here. Just because one can't understand why another player would get their initial levels through paypal, shouldn't make these toons count less in considering future developments.
  8. Any 100+ a/d gap?

Leg orc has been in game for quite some time now. There are people that have been training them pretty much since day 1. Imo, it would be good to add a mob more uber than leg orc, and give the 150+ group a new incentive and motivation. Make it drop a little more than just coins, perhaps some of the stuff required for various daily quests, and a small chance of dropping bindingstones/enriched magic/fire essence. In addition to that, tweak yeti slightly to close the gap between fcw and yeti The 150+ group is only going to keep on growing. Keep them all locked up in the volcano now, will make the volcano just as nasty a place as the bethel feros cave and irinveron yeti caves have been at times.
  9. Issac Walton strikes again

potentially a nice, new, refreshing idea, but could you elaborate some more, your post is so limited. /sarcasm
  10. Harrasment

I lol'd. Tokie, pal, stick to roleplaying... the fake PKer attitude isn't working wonders for ya
  11. For what it's worth, i recognise that this is 'the' tempest from both the way he 'talks' as from the name in the emails he gave in post #3.
  12. Revise Multi Rule?

Although I understand why people would want the multirule changed, i think indeed it would be a bad thing, as Nova said it would enable people to just drop the whole nexus thing altogether, when personally I think that the nexus system is actually a plus to the game, it makes that people have to think a little before they act. Not entirely unrelated, the following scenario came to mind though... So say 2 people have been friends for a while, are both equally commited to the game, and both wish to keep their mains free from having many nexus. They then decide to bypass the multi rule in the following way: Player A´s alt afk harvests and mixes essences Player B´s alt afk harvests and mixes essences Player A´s alt donates all the items just made to Player B Player B´s alt donates all the items just made to Player A Both alts still do the work and have the nexus, while the mains have an unfair advantage. So long as the alts dont trade eachother and the mains don't either, technically speaking that's perfectly fine, but is it really fair?
  13. Blind Summons

i have nothing against summoning skill, and this is not an issue for psychoanalysis, i repeat its just an idea, if wont work ingame its ok. Im just thinking if in 5 years we are gonna have the same magic skills ingame, and we all know what is going to happen, whats the point of it. We all have magic immunity and ive not read mages crying about it. Lol, MI was cried about A LOT, in particular the months after we suddenly got icons over our heads showing which spells we had cast. Just because you weren't here for it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Wards were introduced partly to give 'mages' a way to force vulnerability. Either way, you have a few ways to get away from summons, a spell like this is totally not needed, and as others have said already, I think (the way you suggest it) is far too powerfull.
  14. Pandemic / KO'd guild

so when is anything gonna be done about the bolded part? Sure, EL isn´t responsible for out of game 'deals' about characters, and players have their own responsibilities but this isn´t the first time this person is involved in practices like this. How many more accounts (and players, not even necessarily linked to the chars in question) are going to be lost before the real cause gets dealt with?
  15. about sunnyd

it's not unlikely that a relative knew she played, and knew how much she enjoyed the game, and her guild, and realised the guild and other friends she may have had would want to know about this sad event. Don´t see why anyone would make something like this up. Strength to all SunnyD´s friends and relatives. I didn´t know her but I know how upsetting it can be to lose an online friend or guildie so sudden.
  16. n0ser bagjumper

no, i don't think that, i just think it's being used the wrong way. Use it for reporting lurers, or people who have properly scammed you. That said, people have every right to warn eachother and call for botbans (which are lolz anyways), but they should also be more cautious when taking the risk of working on a bag, and with that, gaining a substantial advantage over people that choose to either mix completely from storage, or who go to less popular places where they can actually do the same but will have to walk 20 seconds longer to storage. You take a risk, one day it goes wrong, don't go whining about it. You've probably already made so much profit by doing the same in the past that you can deal with this loss, no problem. I'm not so much defending Noser, or any of the other people taking bags this way, as I am trying to get my point across that people have their own responsibility. Just an example of something I've witnessed more than once in the past years: Who the hell logs off leaving a hyperbag with ingreds and food for 10k steel bars on one of the most obvious spots in melinis cave? And then leaves it there for at least a week? It is stupid and irresponsible and I do not, have never, and will never feel sorry for that bag getting looted. So in my opinion, people DO have the right to warn eachother, but they should also stop crying murder when one of their hundreds of bags get looted. Don't want the risk, then don't take it.
  17. n0ser bagjumper

it's liek: zomg i had no red cape on and he pulled brod on me zomg ban from bot!!11!. Same stupid risk to take, same stupid outcome. can't expect to take a risk and to always get away with it. Now go hug trees.
  18. n0ser bagjumper

Goot, You can all warn eachother all you like. That doesn't change the fact that it's still not illegal in EL to take a bag that is unattended, even if 3 seconds before, someone was actually still on the bag. What I'm trying to say is that you all should NOT assume that everyone will respect that people want to speed up their harvest/mix projects by working on the spot, and if you want 100% safety, either get smart, or just haul your stuff to storage and mix from there. Once again: nobody 'owns' a bag, it's been said over and over again, so why is it such a shock that every now and then, someone takes a chance and walks off with some free stuff?
  19. n0ser bagjumper

seen as I had forgotten about that one incident, no it's not about that. You know full well why, and I'm not gonna explain it here. Anyways, Lexi, sure, this place is to warn, but tendency is that people only read it AFTEr the 'bad guy' started it, so what's the use. There are always people that will still trade, and as you may have noticed, the renegade ninjas in this game really don't need all that much stuff to get by anyways. Ah, guess I'll stop killing the buzz here.. enjoy your dramaz about people not breaking rules.
  20. n0ser bagjumper

lol, welcome back n0ser. You all really really should learn to not assume ownership of a bag. Read the friggin rules. And Haze/Yetio, it wasn't just PK what you've done, and you know it. Dont come here acting all innocent.

  22. Stone of skill lvl transfer

great idea. you can save out on nexus points for harvesting/potioning/manuing and just go back to ogre or fluffy training till eternity and save a WHOLE bunch on crit fails that you won't be making, harv meds and other tools you won't be breaking, you'll be able to build up a sick OA level as every skill will be leveled as fast as a/d. Oh wait.. I lied No way, bad idea.
  23. New mob the Badaran - how do we kill it

    - not mentioned (tho assume you've tried it): summons? you edited - suicide in front of it - set total war and fight eachother by it (nighttime only, ofc) since this thing is new to me (this post is the first time i hear about it), will think some more and post if i find ideas.
  24. Who killed gossip?

I heard she didn't get killed, but Blackbeard kidnapped her and they are now sailing the oceans, looting cruiseships and oiltankers, posing as somali pirates.
  25. PvP instances

Disclaimer: not a PKer, but i know people and I know the EL community´s habbits. In an ideal world, either system would work, in which case, Radu's idea for team making would be just as good as random queing. Unfortunately, in EL, people single out someone en masse, already when they have a different opinion. That´s the downside of having such a small number of players.. we all think we know everybody else, and we all tend to have very outspoken opinions, often based on silly things like falsely spread rumors, what guild someone is in and whether or not they once were spotted being friendly with a 'dishonorable outlawy person'. People will absolutely refuse to team with a whole bunch of others because the levels aren't to their liking, because they aren't 'true PKers' or ´zomfg ur teh sux!!1!', which will only result in teams not filling up, or it will take far too long for everyone to be happy. I LOVE the idea of PVP instances, but I really think that opting for the more random option (= have ceiling cat make teams) will make them a lot more succesfull. People can still decide to leave the instance if they really don't like who they find in there, but you could add a timepenalty for leaving the instance before the fight even started (and no option to buy off the time-out). On the other hand.. I'd love to be proven wrong and see that EL players actually can make this work
