This works for me on Win98. The previous test update crashed on startup.

Did Scarr say to you he has a dislike for me? As far as I'm concerned, we've been friends for a while now with Scarr. I killed him because he was disrupting our harvesting project in the nc cave, not because there was some rivalry between me and him. And like he said, he attacks and PKs lots of people and not necessarily because he doesn't like them or their friends.

Well finally Spock! So this is what it took to make you come back.. it was well worth it.

How about have some random killable NPC's? It could bring some nice variation to fighting. Unlike animals and monsters, the NPC's could have some weapons/armor (that they may or may not drop when they get killed), and they could heal themself with potions or magic during fight. Maybe they could even use some other magic spells during fight. This could be taken a step further and make all NPC's killable. It would bring some interesting possibilities for evil roleplayers, f.ex. killing Molgor. Obviously important NPC's would have to have high levels so not every newbie could kill them and also they would have to respawn after a period of time, maybe 6 hours.

why? what would that change? besides zombies don't suck blood. Maybe in el zombies suck blood? I think this is terrific idea, just make them give very low xp like ggm suggested and make them not drop anything. This idea could spur some great rp moments and as rp'ers know, xp doesn't matter.

I have no interest in fighting, but if you challenge me Shasso, I'll fight you.

Also deleting el.cfg might help.

I'm sure not everyone will like my suggestion but here goes: What if when arresting a bad guy, he/she would have a chance to attack the police officer (resist arrest). The effect would be that high level bad guys would be safer and it would take a high lvl police officer to arrest one. The police officer would still have an advantage as he/she could prepare for the arrest and it would be possible for the bad guy not to have f.ex. any armour or weapon at the time of the arrest. And what about this for punishment: when arrested the bad guy looses all his/her items (possibly also the ones in storage) for the period of one in-game day. I think that would still be quite a punishment but not as boring as spending hours in some jail doing nothing.

Hah I don't even know half the guilds on that list! None of them seem very bad... but maybe *co* because it's full of perv... umm weird people.

Well since you brought this old topic up, I might just aswell add something to it about the guild ranking. The guild ranking could be based on amount of members, how active the members are (so large guilds with lots of inactive players wouldn't necessarily be on top), amount of quest completed and maybe karma points if those are ever implemented. Also guilds could have fame ratings, f.ex. 'Pking guild' if the guild PKs a lot, 'Peacefull guild' if the guild rarely PKs, 'Prosperous guild' if the guild has lots of gc and items and 'Achievers guild' if the average skill level of members in the guild is high.

Freeone I thought that was a fun feature, not a problem. People seem to have fun with it anyway. Dancing while through other people/animal/buildings might be even more fun!

Go on, rate my new mostly selfmade avatar! (Hope Roja doesn't mind that I used her axe model.. )

Bye byeee... don't forget us!

The site for the dancing kitty is here.

I think I have this same problem, my oa lvl should be 91 and I have -233451 oa exp. Not that it really matters to me but it would be nice to have my lvl 91 oa. Edit: nm it's fixed now
-
Yes but the dancing kitty was not made by me, I got it from some avatar pictures site. I wanted to make one of my own!
-
Purrr Glad you all like it! (so far.. )

Excellent! Now I wonder who the champion is that leads the rebellion?

Thanks teh banned 0n3na and Quell!

Well it would be nice if monsters would attack from farther away. If you have to first travel across the map to find a monster and then again chase that monster across the map it might get frustrating. Also it could make monster magnetism more valuable as now with a little luck you can traverse monster maps and never get attacked by one.
