So people won't be able to have a guild map for an additional year after the next update? What about all the maps that are already in game now? You'll have to discuss that with Roja and Radu before you commission a map maker to do this.

You also have to take into account... c1 has about 15 maps and c2 has 25 maps (I'm talking main maps). Obviously the population will be spread thinly throughout c2 due to that.

There will be a NPC at the docks (planned at least) that will tell you to click the flag.

I 'm sure the NPC writers can't wait to triple their workload and write 3 scripts for each of the next 150 NPCs instead of one. That shouldnt be a problem, will just take longer time. You're talking to a couple NPC writers... that would not be enjoyable The NPC writing team is small and I think the first priority would be putting NPCs everywhere, not making them talk differently to everyone. Thanks for putting all those NPCs into the update Radu, they're beautiful and enjoyable Never said you had to do it all instantly, but put it out over a longer time and it shouldnt be THAT much of a problem.. I think the idea is dumb, sorry Unless radu really wants to, I don't think we're going to do it.

Wanderingfool was a bot, not a NPC. Him and his 'brother' Wanderingidiot would walk around to game to Joker spawns, and when they found him, would PM the location to the player with the highest karma with them (karma came from healing them). Players could also PM both bots asking for Joker's location, and they would reveal it if they knew.

Wouldn't it be more player friendly to add them when the do have a use? That way when a new NPC shows up you know it's worth talking to them to find out what they know. That's what I hate having, especially when new quests are added. You can basically figure out the quest by finding the new NPCs, and not necessarily knowing about them. The way radu is planning on doing it is ideal in my mind.

I slightly disagree with this comment. Say you are looking for someone who is a codebreaker for a quest.. by talking with those NPCs before, you can remember which one briefly mentioned cracking codes as a hobby. I see this as being a benefit.. if you know your NPCs better, it will be easier to do some quests. Also, some NPCs might have special abilities as well. I know one in particular does coming with the next update

Wanted to say thanks to Phildaburn for writing most of this quest and for Aurora and Quello's NPC scripts. Also a thank you to Terena for writing Yinta's NPC script and Sin for most of Christina's script.

Well, remember, gargs are only out at night. Plus, white stone is a rather large map, and the likelihood of a newbie running into a garg is low.

Not a bad idea.. though it's already been mentioned that the c1 boat system is very well-constructed. Adding in an extra line has to be thought out. Obviously if another boat was added, it'd have to go to a newbie friendly map.. which limits it to DP and VOTD. Those are only a few boat rides away as is (though I will admit, when I was a newbie, I didn't realize there was a second boat at the docks )
