  1. Rabbit and wolf chillin in SKF

Not sure if this is a map bug or not... I captured this video back on Jan 6. I was playing EL on my laptop, then decided to go outside with my phone. When I logged into EL on my phone, I was greeted by this rabbit and wolf (Novac's?) in South Kilaran (approx. 121,96). They didn't move at all for several minutes, as if they were glued to those map tiles. That's when I took this video. I then logged out of EL on my phone, and after a few minutes passed, went back inside to continue playing on my laptop. Upon logging back in, both animals were gone. Regrettably, I did not try to attack them, so I can't say for certain whether someone killed them within those few minutes where I was logged out, or if the whole thing was just some weird Android client hallucination...
  2. Top Players Has Returned

Nice one, Burn! I realize it's still in development, but I have one minor cosmetic suggestion that I hope you can add to your TODO list: It would be really nice if the table headers were "sticky". It's a bit easy to lose track of what skills you're currently looking at as you scroll down the page (or if you're like me and doing ctrl+F to find your name), especially when 200 players is selected as the filter. Slapping a position:sticky on the table headers should do the trick, like this.
  3. Client thinks I'm not in a particular channel

Thanks revi, I just confirmed now that it's due to 80100 being the 4th channel. I left another channel and posting in 80100 now works. ? Sorry, wasn't aware this was a known issue.
  4. For some reason the client doesn't think I'm in the 80100 channel; see the attached video. I'm running 1.9.6 on MacOS 11.6.2 with the Use Windowed Chat option set to Old behavior. When I use @ syntax to send a message to the active channel, the message seemingly disappears into the ether. When I use @@, I get an error message telling me I'm not in the channel (even though I clearly am). I also have a feeling that I'm not seeing other people's messages in that channel either, since it's been dead quiet for weeks even though several 80100 invances happened. I first noticed this bug back in December right after I updated my client to 1.9.6. Channel 6 was completely silent for hours, which I thought was odd (?). Some time later the issue resolved itself, but I don't remember how. Now I'm encountering this bug for a second time. channel-bug.mp4
  5. I was thinking, maybe a Cancel Reading option should be implemented into the game. I know some books can take a while, and sometimes you want to cancel them and read some other book quickly. Or you just think the book is useless for the time being, and you don't want to waste time reading it. Here's where a Cancel Reading option could come in handy. It's not really important to the game, but it would still deem useful. Your thoughts, please.
  6. Where has this world turned to?

People are assholes. Deal with it.

  11. Stuck in Alien Territory?

Are you stuck in Alien Territory? Can't find your way out? Do deadly creatures lurk near, waiting to feast on your flesh? Is your chance of survival minimal? Heck, if you have all these problems, then you're gonna need a gun. And some armor. And you're going to need to pluck up some courage. Being stranded in Alien Territory is no laughing matter! Remember to keep alert at all times, and when the monsters come close, you have to remember: you're smarter than them. You can win your way out with your intelligence. If all else fails, run like hell. ----- ! ALL these dilemmas and more are faced in my first movie release, ALIEN TERRITORY. Max, a spaceship crew member wakes up after a space battle to find he's on a completely foreign planet. Not only that, his enemies are stranded as well. And so are the monsters of the land. Will Max get out? Check it out: Click Here To View! And please, if you have time, give me some feedback on my movie on the site. Thanks all! ----- ! Wanna make your own movies? The Movies Website.
  12. Stuck in Alien Territory?

Hey what program is that Roland?
  13. Stuck in Alien Territory?

Yes, you need Windows Media Player 9. As for the talking thing, I can add voices, but I'm a really crap voice actor. But hey, if anyone on this site wants to do voices for me, I'd appreciate it.
  14. Bots in VOTD

They may be funny, but I too have noticed that they are quite annoying when it comes to the VoTD bridge. I have been blocked several times. I do not want to have to heal them just so I can pass.

  18. Bad Object

Whilst travelling the Palon Vertas map this error came up saying: Bad object: ./3dobjects/structures/watchtower.e3d . Two or more materials with the same texture name! It appeared twice. Just for the record I have not changed any of my object files... So could someone test this out to see if its not only happening on my PC?
  19. The hall of shame

Can all this stop please? This isn't about Rogue, either is it about Enyo. Stop taking your dislike out on these forums, and look at the topic at hand. You cheaters were CAUGHT, its plain and simple. And now your names will hang on the Wall of Shame. I don't want anyone trying to weasel themselves or others out of it - you were caught, and now you must pay the consequences. I reminds you all again, this is not about mods, its about you players who cheated. It's a Wall of Shame, something that others can look at to see who in the game played unfairly. Stop the flames and TAKE THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE.

  23. The Elven Tragedy

This is the story of how the elves of the Forest of the Fall were wiped out by goblins in 189 B.G.W. You may choose to implement this or not, but I just thought I’d add to the history of EL. Also, if I have made any errors (historical, spelling, etc), please let me know. I don’t know if everything is as correct as it should be, so please bear with me. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Elven Tragedy Hundreds of years ago, though it was unknown to many, a small colony of Elves resided in the Forest of the Fall. Conveniently hidden away from the world in their secretive location, they were untouched by all the chaos and evil that had rampaged through the continent over the years, and managed to live for hundreds of years in prospering serenity. The elves of this region named themselves the Nakirii, which in their unique tongue meant ‘tree-carers’, for in the trees they dwelled and weaved their magic. It was above ground that they built their kingdom, a series of interconnected structures among the branches. The Nakirii were closely related to the elves of the Forest of the Shadows (now known as Morcraven Marsh), the place where they had originally migrated from (around 3,000 B.G.W), and kept up a decent communication with their kinsman. They were true carers of the earth, tending for the plants and animals that lived in the Forest, and giving supernatural strength to the wildlife, which resulted in the tallest trees and plants that could been found anywhere. They lived a somewhat perfect harmonious existence with nature for many hundreds of years, and for this Aluwen rewarded the head elf of the colony the power of foresight. This elf’s name was Torandril Sandorfin, and the reward could not have gone to a worthier candidate – he was the model of perfection when it came to caring for the earth. Since birth he believed the purpose of the Nakirii was to give back to mother nature what had been taken, and to restore life to the lands. His strong beliefs gathered a large following early in his life, which led to his ascension to Head Elf of the Nakirii. With guidance from Aluwen he shaped the Forest of the Fall into a peaceful paradise of immense beauty. Coupled with the gift of foresight with which he was the granted, he ensured his oasis was safe from danger by casting his vision outside the Forest to search for invaders. The Forest remained the safest place on the continent for hundreds of years, and with Torandril and his gift, many believed it always would be. Not once was the elven kingdom threatened. So powerful was the beauty and pureness that emanated from it that evil could not be drawn to it. Over the years the place became a haven for weary travellers. Mainly humans and other elves would take rest in the Nakirii’s Kingdom of the Pure (as it was called) during journeys, and it was a partner in trade with White Stone City. Whilst there, travllers could be safe with the knowledge that no harm could come unto them. Yet, one fateful day, things changed in a way that not even the seer Torandril could have foreseen. Mortos, brooding in his hellish doom, having previously overlooked this elven colony, was shocked to discover such a pure place in Seridia. Without a second thought, he mustered goblins deep from within the caves and tunnels of the earth, and marched them to the Forest of the Fall. Masked by Mortos’ evil power, Torandril could not see their advance. And then it was too late – the army of goblins swiftly invaded, with only one order: to destroy everything they could see. Unarmed and unaware, the Nakirii were slaughtered without warning. That is, with the exception of a small few, Torandril included. This lone group fought with all they could muster, and as powerful as they were against the goblins, they were too vastly outnumbered, and soon began to fall, one-by-one. Soon only Torandril Sandorfin and his most loyal follower, Arduren Farnight remained, and in the spirit of the elves they did not give up the fight. With an almost godlike grace they cut through the ranks of goblins, and fought with the ferocity of those with nothing to lose. But it was too much… the goblin warriors knocked them down, and claimed them as their captives. Gagged and tied, Torandril watched as his kingdom was burned to the ground. The plants and animals disappeared in the flames, and the mighty trees Torandril had raised started to burn away as well. The elf looked on in despair at his lost kingdom, and how he had failed it. Everything he had worked so hard for was turning to ash, and there was nothing he could do. As the goblins carried them away to their caves, the two elves wept for their people. It is said at this moment Aluwen took pity on them, and untied the bonds on Arduren. With that, he jumped from his captor’s grasp. “Run, my loyal friend! Do not sacrifice your life for such a disgrace as me.†Torandril ordered through his gag. “Run until you get to White Stone City, and inform the people there what has happened!†Arduren hesitated, but could not leave his friend to be carried away by the goblins. “Run, people must learn of this travesty!†Torandril yelled once more. As the goblins closed in on Arduren, he ran, until he was just a speck in the distance. Few remnants remain of the once great Kingdom of the Pure, and those are few and far to find. The goblin army destroyed all that made the Forest of the Fall wonderful. The once great trees still stand tall, but are thin and grey, ghosts of their former glory. None of the spectacular flora that had once blossomed exists anymore, and the exotic array of animals that wandered the Forest inhabit the place anymore. The day the goblins invaded the Forest was a sad day for all, for such a beauty that had once lived there, lives no more…

I'm glad you ask, and I would certainly do it... but time is a factor. Currently, I can't get online as much as I would like (much less than alot of members). Please let me know if this would be an issue. Thanks.
