  1. Text Disappears

    I was trying to compile this game on Mandriva 64bit and I was stumped too. Well, maybe I will look at this again and give it another shot. The dependencies are a bit of a pain.
  2. Storage GUI

    So, when are we getting a "Deposit All" button? having storage number buttons greater than 100 would be nice too. Ever forget to click the item in trade so that it would go to storage? I just got 25K gc to deposit manually. Now That is a click fest! LOL
  3. My guild bot will soon be able to read the player stats pages to come up with an in guild ranking for the player's statistics. How often can it do this without breaking the rules? How frequently do the player stats pages update anyways? I was thinking of having it only read the player stats pages if the info it has is at least an hour old.

  5. Whats up with fire essences?

    Hmmmm...so lets see if I understand this.... To reduce the amount of EFE in the game, you make them harder to make. To reduce the amount of FE in the game, you slow down the time it takes to make them. Then, I somehow manage to make 2 EFE in one day, suggesting they are not as rare anymore, so the price might go back down while still making them more rare. Then, it turns out the FE can have critical failures so that you lose ingredients. I the rarity of the EFE making event went back closer to what it was before while still having them more rare due to FE being slower to mix I think that is a Great trade-off. Granted, I am a manufacturer, but I would rather have FE go up in price than have EFE stay ate 4Kgc and not be able to make them myself. EFE items are a key way for me to make money. I want my EFE.....it seems they just figured out a different way to make them rarer besides adjusting the odds of an EFE event. Time is how. I like it. As for the schools, that will help me advance quicker. I don't care if I lose more ingreds. Are they functional yet? Good luck with the game economy, guys. I know there will be alot of complaints with every change. I am sure people will get used to them in time though.
  6. Too frequent of ingredient loss

    I am at manufacture level 35. I have lost ingredients 6 times today and made 5 s2e successfully. Just what on earth are the chances for success/failure/failure-with-ingredient-loss? The last time, I took a potion of manufacturing and Still lost ingredients. It seems a little odd that I should lose ingreds so frequently. Can't the game at least give us a fair chance and reduce our metal bars to ore? I mean, this is ridiculous.
  7. Setting Prices - New items

    The rarity of the metals involved will make these items hard to make for people. I don't know how many people will want to risk their necks in pk zones to get the hydro and wolfram for any of the new stuff. I see the value of those ores and bars going up up up...especially with people demanding the armors and weapons. I don't think the market prices should be worse than npc prices though unless it is unavoidable. Equal, maybe, but not higher. There are not enough anti-social people to rip off to support the idea of higher market prices than npc's. That is obviously your intention....to rip off the anti-social. Once I get the ability to make the new armors and weapons, I will Not lose business to NPC's. That idea just sickens me.

  9. Knives

    Who says a person could not use two shields at once in real life? Why not allow you two have up to two shield class items used at one time? That way, you could use 2 daggers, a dagger and shield, sword and dagger or whatever combo, but not two swords at once.
  10. This topic is two years old, the old patch which did this is long deleted... However, kudos for searching before you post. However, it would probably be possible to integrate some simple code to follow a given actor - corpus does it easily enough, it's only a small CPU hit - if you had permission for such a patch from the server developers. If the patch was suggested so many times, why would they delete the patch without implementing it? Didn't Entropy and Learner like the idea of following the mouse cursor?

    If it is an issue of reaching the npc, maybe a taller box for the guy to stand on would help. I don't see why people lounge there anyways since you can't mix there anyways. It is just strange.

    Just because a topic is old, doesn't mean people can't add to it. I am just adding my voice to the crowd. Leave it at that or make useful feedback.... ....but feedback on people's timing is not very useful at all.
  13. So, what do we think about the new changes?

    I can understand that the servers may be getting full of vials and that there might be too much to make vials worth anything. However, I would like to suggest a different way of correcting this issue. If you fight, equipped items can be busted. If you drink a potion, the vials can be busted. Doesn't it make sense to have it be a random chance for the vials breaking instead of all of this potion type and none of this potion type? If you make it a random chance, fighters will only need to bring like 10 extra vials to cover breakage so they can mix on the go and the vials decrease in numbers. Please let me know what you think of my little idea.

    I don't know about the prices of axes, but your prices for the greaves and cuisses are Way off. They sell for around 3K-3.5K each. It is time to update your prices.

    blade3 has stolen around 130 water essence, about 28 potions of feasting, and some ingredients for water essence from the Portland cave bordering White Stone from me and my wife, LdyFox.     S2E's are level 28 manu. that is 7 under my manu level as it is. S2E's at level 28 would be a 50% failure rate, so you are only a little bit better. So does that mean that 56 manu is almost 100%? Does anyone know the percentage formulas? I seem to have over 75% success on Iron Greaves and Iron Cuisses. That is why it seems odd. Of course then, I believe this game sometimes will give you bad odds ruts too. Those days when you can't even make leather helms at 35 manu with more than 75% success rate.

    Do you mean taking the blade off the hilt sort of disassembly or turning it into bars or turning it into ore? If you mean turning it into ore, it would definately be alchemy instead of manufacturing. If you mean turning it into bars, that would be alchemy and maybe a little bit of manufacturing. As for the idea of taking the swords and shields apart into the blade+hilt or handle+face, that would be manufacturing. I do love the idea. It just needs to be defined better.

    I think a/d rank matching would be better....you must be within X ranks to fight eachother. A number of people say that the risk is part of the game though. Maybe it should be insurance you buy that will teleport you out before someone with too different of rank can take a swing at you. That way, there Is a cost to the XP that you could take instead of the risk of getting your butt handed to you.
