  1. Artificial nexus dilemma

I did some search, I found nothing, so I would like to ask a question: Did some of you asked why all axes have arfticial nexus +2 higher than human nexus? Why is that so? I mean, why have weaponsmiths need to spend 2 more pickpoints than fighter? This seems unfair to me, I'll explain it on an example: Serpent sword and titanium axe are quite comparable (I have talked to fighters about it, they say that serpent is even better, yet cheaper, but I do not wish to discuss ingredients at all). So why titanium axe requires arftificial nexus 7 and serpent sword 5, while both of them require human 5? If this has some reason, I would really like to know it, because this question is bothering me for many weeks.
  2. Artificial nexus dilemma

Thermal is way too expensive, should it have artificial 20 for it? That is not the point gentlemen, and Entropy already anwered me, so this topic can be closed down.
  3. Random days...

Come on people. It's random! And it only lasts six hours. I admit, there has been more negative days lately, but that is just coincidence. For me, I just exited and got a book read, is it so hard not to play six hours, if you don't like it?
  4. Artificial nexus dilemma

Maybe if Entropy sees this, he will be so kind to give me satisfying answer, but thank you anyway for the effort.
  5. The invasion

I'd suggest not to use maps with chokepoint areas (as is VotD/DP bridge) and also to encourage multicombat maps (what's the point of spawning s**tload of chimerae on singlecombat map).
  6. Honorable pking

Okay, I got your point. But my point was that these maps were actually designed for killing each other, yet no map was originally designed for bagjumping and scamming. Killing eachother is the purpose of that map, or is it not?
  7. Honorable pking

Okay, let's pretend my second line does not exist. Still the question remain: is killing players on player killing map outlawish? and maybe morei important question: why?
  8. Honorable pking

So KILLING PLAYERS on PLAYER KILLING maps is considered outlawish? Oh dear, someday I'll get posted in outlaws by a phantom warrior from Naralik for killing him, while training. It's the same principle.
  9. Honorable pking

One simple question: if PKing is "outlawish and not liked", why we have those maps then for? As said thousands time before, you got warned, you got even warned by messages during the play. (Thyralax is writing them iirc). Lorck is undoubtedly right in that you CHOOSE to enter a PK, and NOBODY MAKES you do so. On the other hand, scammers/bagjumpers give you no choice, they simply do those nasty things. And one note: without PKers, we the producers will go jobless. This debate is getting ridiculous. There are PKers, respected and taken as an example, and they are PKers disliked and hated, but thas DOES NOT MAKE THEM OUTLAWS. It simply adds a flavor to fighting, but they do nothing wrong but the very natural thing on such maps. EDIT: typos
  10. Honorable pking

Tell me please, what of these are PKers? I don't get it myself. - Are they scammers? Obviously not. - Are they bag stealers? Not at all, they have won the drop, they did not steal it. - Are they troublemakers? In which way means killing in Player KILLING map a trouble? - Are they no-good doers? They do only what is the very nature of that map. - Are they criminals? What crime did they do then? Same answer as above. So tell me please, why should be PKers posted here along with those who comitted scamming, bagjumping or anything bad. Being an outlaw means you did nasty things. If you wish to be PKing nasty, why do we have those maps then? I'm confused about that. Can someone clarify this for us all please?
  11. Test your thinking skills

Is this riddle contest or physics education thread?
  12. Artificial nexus dilemma

Okay, I get it, but these two weapons compared are almost similar in strength (serpent is considered even stronger), so why has "less powerful" weapon higher nexus to make, while wield nexus is the same, that was the very question, I am sorry, if this wasn't clear on first reading.
  13. As we all can see, there is constant growth of empty vials on the market. What to do with them? If you use potion, there is empty vial remaining, but more and more vials are coming from FP bought from Mira in huge amounts dialy. What to do with them? I suggest a breaking rate on vials when drinking the potion, Let's say 10-25%? Only just to compensate the vial income from FPs. This will also ensure that vials will be more valuable and so will the potions in general. I do not wish maliciously break the vials for the fun, just trying to find a way out of this. When drinking the potion, people could have receive a message like: "When you used the potion, the vial slipped from your fingers and broke on the ground" What do you think about it?
  14. Empty vials problematics

I know it's fun, but it does not simply get the point. This could be said about every item which is in oversupply in EL. I just though that this may help the economy a bit, by encouraging vials market.
  15. EL Textures

Good job indeed. I like the fire theme and FR cloak most.
  16. Honorable pking

Although I respect Ghrae as a wise person, I have to disagree with him now. PKing should NOT being considered anything else but playing, not acting outlawish. To enter a PK map, you have to actively participate on that and you are given warning before you do so. Ergo all actions have come from you and you only and you willingly agreed with the risk that someone may kill you and take your possessions you drop. That's what PK maps have been made for IMO. Just look at others MMORPG, PKing is common doing there, not considered outlawish at all, because you choose to enter such a map, nobody can force you (luring the defensleless newbs is another thing, for they don't know, but then it's abusement, not outlaw). But there is a big BUT!!! Whenever some unexperienced player enter such a map for whatever the reason, someone kills him and he is complaing at outlaws, usually PKers cry on him and not being polite to him, explaining what happened and why in a polite way. This may give wrong look on them and such as this, they are considered mean and rude, which may lead that they are misplaced for outlaws. So my to summarize this: if someone kills you on PK, he is not considered an outlaw, but he should also react (or at least try) politely either.
  17. summoning

Not the point, bagjump is still bagjump, even if one steal 1 branch against the will of the original owner.
  18. No cold damage on cold maps

    True, Trassian is cold-safe.
  19. new summoning

Wee, I wish I could summon an army of brownies in Kilaran Field
  20. Map editor closes...

Map editor closes when I ever try to save the map I created. It don't save it and it just closes. Can someone has similar experience or someone knows what to do with it? I searched the bug and map making section, but I couldn't find anything
  21. Disposable armor

One thing I have to say: It would be great, if you could use the ordinary leather armor as a ingredient for augmented one, BUT when augmented one degrades, it won't be able to be repaired, this would ensure some items sink, which is badly needed. What do you think?
  22. Vanpiranegra

What makes you feel, that most of us will understand?
  23. What is your political compass score?

    Here is mine: Economic Left/Right: -0.13 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.31
  24. Fixing some of the economy

What's wrong with "technically buying experience"? I mean, you also invest in developing skill, you invest a lot, what is it, when it's not buying experience?
  25. The invasion

Good one. I killed grizzly and few trolls, never knew before that I can take them with my noobish A/D, I liked it
