This would make the game too easy and training will losing a bit of surprise :-) Maybe this spell should be used on Castellan instead to help to figure out the spawned monster current weakness (of course not in detailed way, more like in roleplaying style)?

I talk about this topic generally, what if a bot owner doesn't knew the One perk also acts on bots? (since they are special players - not get hurted on solar days, invasions etc.) I agree its their mistake to get the One perk, but what to do if they already did and there is no way to change it?

Well, is there any _LEGAL_ way to get a rid of One perk in the case of bot? I am doubt it since you cannot train with a bot to get the required pps to use removal. seems unfair to attack bots with One

Good idea to make a stringtable only in the client for client-side translations. I recommend using GNU gettext for this reason, because it has lot of tools supporting the maintaining of multilanguage translations (like BabelFish). note: the .mo and .po files which are used by gettext can be handled separately from the client executable (no needs to recompile for change translations), the files can be synchronized with a normal online update.

Lantern - gives more visibility on night (between 3:30-0:30) - lit with a limited period of time (like one night, then need refill) - made by iron bar and copper bar - reusable/refillable Candle - could be made using ash and bones powder with water essence - limited number of usages or length in time Torch - can be made from wooden log or branch with rope and leather - all can be lit using fire essence - all maybe have the side effect of letting gargoyles not attack on night (if the player is a newbie). - you cannot wear shield/weapon while using it - they could be the lower level night visors

I like the sounds and music for this game but not using them because makes me sleepy - also connected some messages with alert sounds (like harvesting stop, got harmed etc) so sounds helps to get noticed about the events better here (also sheep voice when got pmed hehe).

Here are some thoughts related this port: - the iPhone applications can use a limited memory segment while running, its around 12 megabytes of allocated memory as maximum - iPhone and iPad both uses powerVR GPU, OpenGL ES is just a layer above that. If you wants to get performance and low memory consumption, especially on the limited iphone, all of the textures and models should be converted to a hardware friendly compressed format, since the graphics card using the shared memory we will have lot of problems with the textures - OpenGL ES now support shaders but they are very different than the ones what the EL client using - sdl-image and sdl are partially ported to, but sdl-net is not, also if you are using sdl, all the acceleraor, gestures and multitouch events still unhandled - only players jailbreaked their iphone/ipad can benefit from a port, because Apple wouldn't accept to put the client to AppStore (unless its based on their frameworks provided - porting can be done with making a wrapper for the corresponding API functions to emulate SDL API) - a simple client using the server protocol would be better instead of porting, but in long term its hard to keep track the changes with the official EL client - for audio, fortunately OpenAL is supported - stream based network traffic only valid via wifi in most of the countries (the 3G providers filtering almost everything in the path of communication)

After finishing the harvest quest and visiting the storage npc, maybe good to move the mapmark back to the tutorial npc again or put a menu option onto the storage NPC too which say 'i am ready with harvesting' or something like that.

In the map switching part (by using TAB), maybe would be good to mention: you can show/hide a minimap with Alt+M and maybe describing the color codes there, if its not too much information (yellow:animals,green:you,blue:NPCs,white:others,red:invasion monsters,magenta:bots).

I am experienced also with OSX/iPhone programming, but I think there is lot of gameplay-related issues yet so porting wouldn't to be easy (maybe for iPad there are better chances but the game itself is not designed for being used on multitouch displays).

Well I just had a dream before coming back to EL after arriving back from a foreign country. I dreamed about a new map which had a gold dragon, but the new client (with ultra 3D vision ) crashed before I can get the bag dropped by the dragon and I woke up :-D

Nice ships The triangle-shaped sail fits better to the bows of the ship (the first sail on the front of the ship) which where is designed for on real sailing ships.

Nice idea Also if oldschool, allowed maximum weapon is titanium serpent sword and titanium chain (or iron set) :-)
