Obviously you all are aware of how when manufacturing items (armor, potions, rings, etc) there are times when you critical fail and lose the ingredients. Now, what if there were such a thing as an Extreme Critical Fail? What I was thinking is that you not only lose the ingredients, but also some kind of event occurs. One example in particular that I had in mind is that when you get an ECF while making potions, your character temporarily turns into some kind of ugly creature. Another example may be when you get a manufacturing ECF, your face and hands get red blotches on them. (this would be from wrongly swinging the hammer or using the needle) Not sure if this would be hard to implement. I personally think it's a good idea. Now let's hear your thoughts, and if you like it, maybe come up with another example of an ECF

No apology necessary as far as I'm concerned. Lum, you were simply trying to promote your group as you said and made a small miscalculation on how you should go about doing that. It's still a great idea, just give it some time to work out on it's own. People will join more once things get going.

Oh ya, sorry Kheres, I liked that idea too, just didn't write it down. Adding strange events that occur extremely rarely to all the skills could be interesting....
-
Great idea, it will give off the effect of being wounded and hurt as well

Heya Lum! Remember me? I took a break but now I'm back and willing to help Good Idea, I'll be signing up soon.

I suppose I did overlooked the counterbalancing a bit.... :-) But anyways, I like the way acelon put it. And of course the ECF's wouldn't be nearly as common as a normal critical fail. I was suggesting that these events occur very seldomly.

I think this is a good idea. Maybe instead of being free you have to give something to the captain of the ship such as 5-10 coal to help it run. That way it wouldn't be completely free and it would make it more dangerous to go to it as you risk losing your coal (even though its almost no coal but still). Or maybe just leave it free, I'm not sure what would work better. And as for PKing, people should just PK to PK, and stop worrying about scores. Now I don't PK myself so I don;t really know anything about the scores, but still, if you enjoy it, come on now.

Is a RL movie based on the game allowed?
-
Great idea! It might be interesting to have a few, mind you just a FEW, more of these kinds of creatures in different areas too.
-
A good idea, though I think something similar has been suggested before. I'd just like to have an easier way to click on my target and keep them targeted, like you said.

These are some good ideas you bring up, but I think the mule's EMU should not be based on animal nexus, but on how much you pay for it. IRL you would pay more for a stronger, healthier mule, horse, donkey, etc. Therefore, it may cost a certain gc per certain amount of EMU

I like this idea seeing as in the past I have suggested more animations being added, especially for when using the manufacture window, your char simply sits there and does nothing. Go magic animations too!

If I manage to scrounge up a bit more money today I think I'll be participating :-)

New life for removal attributes stones
xenkoriu replied to Blodoks's topic in Suggestions - General, Misc.
Seems like a good enough idea to me. Maybe the stone could be used more than once seeing as it is a stone and not essence. -
Now I checked and didn't see anything like this suggested before, though it probably has been. I think there should be non-aggressive creatures dwelling in the underworld. These creatures could possibly drop rare or hard to get items (not often obviously) so that in order to get some of these items faster you have to either risk losing armor and weapons while getting killed to go to the underworld or simply go their without protection and lose the majority of your health. If this isn't an option, I think that little devils or hell hounds or something would at least the underworld seem more.... underworld-ish. High or low leveled (or maybe some of both) would probably work. Ready....set.... respond!
-
Yes I think unarmed would be nice to be able to summon
-
Maybe there should be some pretty powerful hell hounds that you have to avoid and if you get killed by them you are sent back to the starting point in the underworld?
-
Yes, I agree they should be bad for experience. Hellspawn perk sounds cool :-P I'm undecided whether they should drop rares or not.... but this idea probably won't be implemented anyways..... :-(
-
Great idea for an event! I will most likely participate as long as RL allows it and I can get a team together.....
-
I will definitely try it out and I think it will make it more so people aren't always walking around in full armor just to go from place to place. Also will help with costuming for my plays :-P

not a bad idea, i like it Unless of course there is a potion that does that already but I don't think there is......

new spell: Illusion of power

I like the idea of an illusion, but I like the idea of having fake copies of yourself even more. Maybe have it magic lvl 50 or so and every 10 levels you can summon up one more fake ex. lvl 50- 1 clone lvl 60- 2 clones lvl 70 3 clones etc or something to that effect -
sorry nuby, but this idea wreaks of RUNSESCAPE!
