  1. Pre RC 7

Video card: RADEON 9200 Series DDR x86/MMX/3DNow!/SSE Vendor ID: ATI Technologies Inc. OpenGL Version: 1.3.1072 WinXP Release Crash with vertex enabled. Works disabled - fps down to 20 in PL city. Normal fps is 40 Ashengy
  2. Pre RC 3

No crash with /shaders renamed, but I get flashin background images and I can't exit DP storage. The rock areas on the floor of DP storage flash black about 4-5 times a second. Characters are messed up, but stable. Here is a link to a screen shot. The rest is dificult to describe. http://mail.google.com/mail/?attid=0.1&amp...18467812def1e59 Ashengy
  3. Pre RC 3

Doesn't work for me. I can sign in, and all "initialization" steps are completed (blue bar fills) and then I get an error. Windows has encountered a problem with EL and must close the program. My system specs: AMD Athlon XP 2500+ 1.833GHz SAPPHIRE Radeon 9250 256MB Video Card - Omega drivers v3.8.252 80Gb sata raid hd - 2 partitions c = windows and program files 6gb free d = data and my docs 6gb free 1GB DDR 400 ram Windows xp pro sp2
  4. Black screen on entering building/cave

Thanks for the tip. I had completely forgotten I did that. When I found a building where the issue surfaced I was able to exit, set my perspective to .40 (in options) and had no problems on re-entry. I currently have perspective set at .45 with no issues. I agree that EL looks terrific with perspective = .6, and I will miss the views. One bonus is that now when I click to move my character, my mouse clicks are more easily recognized. I can also click farther ahead of my character than before. FYI I use the mouse bug. Thanks again.
  5. Black screen on entering building/cave

I would agree with the lack of space, except that I run other memory intensive applications with no issues at all. The only things I have enabled for video is eye candy, blood, lamp halos and fancy smoke. If these were causing issues they would show up on the main maps. I was having issues on sub maps (buildings/caves) everywhere until I disabled Compiled Vertex Array and Vertex Buffer Objects. I am positive this is a video card issue. My question is why this only shows up on a few of the sub maps, and then only on C2? To me this says that something was done slightly different in the programming. The fact that it shows up more when I turn would indicate to me that my video card is struggling to process vectors???? not sure what is being used...
  6. I have been chasing this issue ever since I started playing again. Sometimes when I enter a building or cave my video card will hang. I have an automatic reset on my card, so that if it hangs it will reset. It normally takes about 6 resets before I can get out of the building/cave. Once I am out everythign works, a little slower, but it works. it is not completely fixed unless I do a complete restart. Once I find a building/cave that gives me problems I can reliably repeat the issue. I am to the point that I have no issues in C1 at all. But, when I go to C2 it is about a 50/50 chance that my system will lock up. The most recent was when I entered the Palon Vertas Magic School. This time it caused an infinite loop in the driver and i got a BSD. I am running poor man. EDIT: The error happens more when I am turning. I just entered Zarik pass and everythign was fine until I started looking around. Locked up my vid card. Video reset worked this time and I was able to exit. Everything is fine now, but if I re-enter Zarik pass again it will lock up. I cannot run EL and Open Office at the same time. I am assuming this is a clash over OpenGL.
