  1. Far be it for me to agree with the author of this silliness in any way, shape or form, much less interfere with the rest of us (including me) who tune into this thread for our morning chuckle to go along with the Java, (apologies for posting when I have nada to contribute to the original context of the thread). Moohaps it is time to move on from NASA, CIA, Mensa, Secret Agent Land?

  2. There is one thing that I can think of for not making them stackable. Sometimes a Contest requires that the participants prove that they have brought no items to the party. 36 Antlers are a very cheap and easy method to ensure this.

    Cheers!

  3. IF multi is allowed, then the greater part of the impetus behind mini's is negated.

If I remember correctly, they were implemented to defeat silver farmers. If they are no longer a concern, all I can say is \o/

As much as I would like to see mini's slip into the abyss, I have voted No. If you want to multi, and I surely understand the temptation, then the PK server is for you.

    Cheers!

  4. As has been suggested MANY times before on these forums, I'd rather see the Enchanted Swords have a real and serious benefit for their owners. To make them tradeable for harvesting items just cheapens them further IMHO. Either make them worth the cost of their ingredients or make them luxury items like the rose bouquets. *Waits for the howls of protest from the Thermal Serp Owners.*

  5. This Sunday, 17 June 2012 around 11:30 AM EDST (3:30 PM GMT) http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?iso=20120617T1630&p1=136

Come and get some FREE Alchemy Experience in a fast and fun Race! All ingredients and food will be provided.

To keep things sane, there will be 20 Contestants only.

Alts May be allowed, but please give the true new players first shot at a spot.

The goal is to make as many Fire Essences from the ingredients as you can in the least amount of time. All ties will be decided by the clock. The Referee will have the final say.

The prizes this time are geared to helping new players train their A/D, but none (that I know of ;) ) require more than 1 nexus in Human.

    Rules:

Open to new players whose Alchemy Level is less than 25.

Meet at Valley of the Dwarves Storage.

Your inventory must be completely empty.

    Have Fun!

This is the first of two events as a run up to the 6th Annual Raffle which you can read about here: http://www.eternal-l...wtopic=56915=

Look for the next one on Saturday, 30 June 2012.

    *edited to fix time*

    Cheers !!

  6. Total thumbs up to this idea.

Raistlin's idea of action points being used as, in essence, an Insurance Policy though is spot on.

I have one issue though. Action Points regenerate at what 5-6 per hour with positive food? If each harvesting event took even one Action Point, I don't see how it would balance. It has been quite some time since I have had only 6 events in a full hour of harvesting anything.

    <edited for balance>

  7. I do not post often here, not because I don't care. Only because others say it better than I can.

I want to suggest a new perk. One for Rounders. For players that have spent many hours developing more than a few skills, and for mid-level players as a way to encourage them to branch out and try new things, and for younglings as something to strive for if they have the time and the stamina.

There's been the vaunted "Quad Club", (4 skills over 100) more recently there are even folks with five and I've heard whispers of more.

Harvesting mini events are a blessing for younglings in terms of exp and extra gc. Harvesting mini events are a annoyance for a Mid-Level player. For a 100+ Alcher, they are a bane. More than an interruption to check that you aren't totally afk harving to gain gc. More than a check to see that you aren't just idly harving to pass the time while engaging in "important debate". They have their reasons and though many railed against them at first, we adapted.

    Requirements:

At least 4 skills over level 100

No skill less than level 30

    Benefit:

    No more mini harving events.

    Drawback:

No more mini harving events. No extra gc, No extra harving exp.

    Cost:

30 Oranges - just like the Big Belly Perk

I never said this should be easy.

    Thoughts? Flames? Ideas?

  8. That was the MOST fun I've had in an invasion in aeons! I donated a brick when the grizzlies and white tigers just swamped me in PA, but I Couldn't Care Less! What a B L A S T!!! Waves and waves and just enough time in between to catch your breath and stock up. Well Well Done.

I'll fight in one of these anytime when I know I'm gonna be able to help out and not just be "cannon fodder" for tons of Chickens and AC's on maps that it takes forever to get back to.

    Thanks Thanks Thanks!

  9. Auctioning Vegetal Removal stone.

    Starting bid 220k gc

Payment in gc preferred, but *possibly* goods (not armors) will be considered.

Increases of 10k gc or the equivalent only please.

Post offers here or pm/Gossip Ferny in-game. Auction will end in a 5 days or when I receive an offer I like.

I reserve the right to refuse any bid or not to sell it for any reason.

    Happy bidding.

    Ferny

  10. On Joule Day, I generally start with the thing that require odd # amounts of food, like Matter Essences (5) because you end up with a "freebie". But inevitably end up doing FE for the last bit :bangwall:

On Scholar's Day, I don't think I do anything extremely different from usual, other than I cast magic quite a bit more.

btw have Def, Magic and Manuing Gods.
